Lanesboro | Art enthusiasts can find exciting treasures in the hills and valleys of Bluff Country during the annual self-guided Studio Art Tour, always the last full weekend in April. 10am-5pm each day.

MAY-OCT | LANESBORO FARMERS MARKET

Lanesboro | A farmer's market in the heart of bluff country offering customers fresh local produce, canned goods, baked items, honey, maple syrup and goat milk soap. Saturdays 9am-12pm.

MAY 22 | BLUFF COUNTRY GATHERING

Lanesboro | Held in May, the Bluff Country Gathering is a fourday event presenting traditional American music, dance and singing styles workshops, with public concert on Friday and Barn Dance on Saturday night. Virtually via Zoom; 12-5pm; Free. Email bluffcountrygathering@gmail.com for info.

Lanesboro | Hosted by Lanesboro Arts, Art in the Park is southern Minnesota's longest running fine art fair! Renowned for quality, variety and value, it attracts thousands each year. Admission is free.

JUL 2-4 | GIRLS FASTPITCH SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

Whalan | Exciting action by some of the most talented female athletes from the area. Age groups of 12 and under through 18 and under will be competing in this three day event. Refreshments available onsite. 10am-5pm.

JUL 9 | RELAY FOR LIFE

Lanesboro | The ultimate team fundraiser for the American Cancer Society that brings communities together to fight cancer. It's an opportunity to remember loved ones lost and honor survivors of all cancers.

Preston | Hosted by the Fillmore County Agricultural Society since 1865. This multi-generational event is a reflection of the values, culture, history, heritage and dreams of all that call Fillmore County their home.

This punch has been served at countless local high school graduation open house celebrations over the years. It is a great way to use the extra large rhubarb stalks in your garden. We hope it adds a ‘punch’ to your celebration!

1. Wash and cut up rhubarb stalks into big chunks and place in a large stock pot up to ¾ full.

2. Add water to cover the rhubarb and boil until rhubarb gets mushy.

3. Use a fine mesh strainer to scoop and strain out rhubarb and collect liquid in a separate stock pot.

4. Put rhubarb liquid stock pot back on stove, and add sugar to taste (enough to mellow the tartness, usually 1-3 cups).

5. Add strawberry jello for color, usually ½ box.

6. Boil mixture and then cool on countertop.

7. Store rhubarb liquid in a clean gallon container about ⅔ full. Then add pineapple juice to fill up the gallon container. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

8. When ready to serve, add desired amount of 7Up or Sprite.

Lanesboro | Beautiful, unsupported, gravel bicycle riding event that begins and ends in downtown Lanesboro. Race it and set a record. Ride it and take in the beauty. Either way, get filthy. 1,000+ Participants.
