Saturday 10 January, 10:00am – 12:00pm James Scott Saturday 14 February, 10:00am – 12:00pm Benny Black Lane Cove Plaza James Scott has an extensive catalogue of songs to draw from. A very good rhythm guitar player with a whiskey-soaked singing voice and a focus on great banter with different crowds James is one of our most versatile performers. Benny Black is a well known and awardwinning Singer/Guitarist. His ability to perform both modern and classic hit music have seen him establish himself as a favourite performer amongst Sydney audiences.

Inspired by Australia’s diverse and unique flora and fauna, the relief-printing activity will give residents and visitors of all ages a peek into these century-old techniques. Friday 6 February, 3:30pm – 5:00pm Lane Cove Plaza Gallery Lane Cove continues its ‘Year of Print’ celebrations with a fun Valentine’s Day-inspired card-making and stamping activity. Suitable for everyone, from small busy hands to older creative minds, drop by the Plaza and create some loving designs. Free event, no bookings required.

The Music of Kylie Minogue Tribute Saturday 24 January, 6:00pm – 9:00pm The Canopy Get ready to step back in time and turn Australia Day into a glitter-soaked celebration into the dazzling world of Australia’s pop princess with KYLIE – The Music of Kylie Minogue Tribute. From disco classics like “Spinning Around” and “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” to the euphoric anthems “The Locomotion”, “Hand on Your Heart”, “Kids” and “On a Night Like This,” this show captures every era of Kylie’s legendary career. Film Screening: Turning Red (PG) Friday 20 February, 6:00pm – 7:30pm The Canopy In “Turning Red”, Mei Lee is a confident, dorky thirteen-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. And as if changes to her interests, relationships, and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which for a teenager is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! St Leonards Lunar Laneways Saturday 28 February, 4:00pm – 9:00pm Canberra Avenue next to Wadanggari Park Celebrate the Lunar New Year at the first St Leonards Lunar Laneways, curated with the Korean Cultural Centre. Enjoy night markets, K-pop, performances, workshops, games and glowing art installations – all free and family-friendly. This three-year event series will celebrate Korean culture in 2026, Chinese in 2027 and Vietnamese in 2028. Proudly funded by the NSW Government through the Transport for NSW Open Streets Program. Thursday 29 January – Saturday 21 February Gallery Lane Cove Artists: Aimee Meng, Tian Qi Lin, Chunxiao Qu (courtesy to Futures Gallery), Jennifer Van Ratingen, Zi Xin, Nicole Zhang (courtesy to CBD Gallery), Mei Zhao Curated by XiaoXiao Zhang from CBD Gallery Coinciding with the Lunar New Year, Lunar Harmony, draws together a diverse array of practices from emerging Chinese-Australian artists. Traversing the mediums of painting, sculpture, installation and ceramics, the exhibition explores themes of identity, migration, cultural memory and belonging. The Ceaseless Dance – Soldier on Horse, Lin Tian Qi, Mineral pigments on Paper. Please contact the Gallery for sales, artwork enquiries, or to receive an advanced catalogue. Paolo is a distinguished poet and a founding member of the Lane Cove Poets in Residence. His new book collates his last decade of works, since the publishing of his Collected Poems in 2012. Serena Geddes has created the latest title in the Ella and Olivia world. Serena will be joined by Yvette Poshoglian, author of Ella and Olivia as she gives Lane Cove the first look with the official launch of the first title School Rivals. Families are invited to come and learn about the new book and get your copy of the book signed by Serena! Discover the variety of birds which live in the mangroves, saltmarsh and woodland along the Lane Cove River. Bird expert Renée Ferster Levy will share her knowledge of birds, their behaviour and habitat needs and help tune your ear to identify the many different bird calls of the bush.
