BORGIART
FINE ART FROM THE LAND OF THE VIKINGS TOM DIECK
![]()
BorgiArt – Tom Dieck is living and working in northern Germany near the baltic coast in the land of the vikings. Most of his art are landscapes and seascapes painted in the countryside between North Sea and Baltic Sea. He startet painting after an inspiring visit at the Nolde Museum – the home of the famous expressionist Emil Nolde – in 2013. "When I saw the exploding colors in Noldes paintings, I decided to try working with colors for myself."
"I started with watercolor, but now I am mostly painting with oil. I like oil, because the paint gives me time to decide how to go on. The paint is in some way waiting for me. Painting for me is like writing a story. Not every detail has to be worked out. When my painting is starting to talk to the viewer and my work gives him or her the freedom to decide, what kind of story it is, then I feel my painting is on a good way."
