LAND is thrilled to present The BAND, an innovative collaboration with Cleveland Public Library and FriendsWithYou, an artistic duo consisting of Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III. This unique project brings to life the Blissful Autonomous Neuro Dancers (BAND) — a set of interactive, autonomous robots designed to engage and delight visitors through light, sound, and movement. Each member of The BAND embodies a distinct personality and role, from ROC the curious giant, to FUR the mischievous heart. These whimsical robots use advanced tracking and custom algorithms to interact with exhibition visitors in real-time, creating a joyful and immersive experience. Whether it’s a gentle hum, a dazzling light show, or an impromptu dance, The BAND invites everyone to connect, play, and experience CPL’s Brett Hall in a whole new way. FriendsWithYou, whose mission is to spread positivity and build community, has exhibited their work globally, including the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Through The BAND, they continue to push the boundaries of art and technology, inviting us all to explore new modes of connection and interaction. Come meet The BAND in downtown Cleveland Public Library’s Brett Hall and let these delightful dancers bring bliss to your day!

Elevate the East, a neighborhood revitalization initiative for Cleveland’s East Side, recently celebrated a major milestone with the unveiling of a stunning new 750-foot artwork on RTA’s Central Bus Maintenance Facility.
Local artists Derek Brennan and Chad Fedorovich led the creation of the vibrant new mural, designed to honor the history and spirit of the Woodhill community. Selected by a panel of local partners, they
worked alongside a team of Cleveland artists Dayz Whun, Christa Childs, Alicia Vasquez, Isaiah Williams, Casey Skufca, and Nick Wyatt, to implement the massive composition and host workshops to bring

local youth perspectives into the mural’s design. This colorful new piece will serve as a largescale landmark, reflecting the collaborative spirit and cultural legacy of Cleveland’s Woodhill neighborhood.

Together with the Mandel Foundation and St. Clair community, LAND is leading the redevelopment of Gordon Park along Cleveland’s eastern lakefront. A key highlight of this project is a monumental 1,400-foot mural by nationally renowned

artist Louise Chen Jones. Inspired by native wildlife, the in-progress mural celebrates the rich ecology of the area, depicting an abundance of local birds, butterflies, and other species. The mural aims to connect the St. Clair-Superior neighborhood to Cleveland’s
lakefront and encourage stewardship of local green spaces.
Beyond simply beautifying the space, the mural’s scale and vibrant colors establish a cultural landmark underscoring a citywide commitment to enhancing outdoor spaces and creating a more accessible, connected Cleveland.
