Night of Nights The Queensland Landscape Industry celebrates in style...

November brings the final celebration to the overall Landscape Queensland Construction Excellence Awards program, in most years this would mean those in the industry are swapping hard hats, steel caps and PPE for tuxes, glitter and shiny shoes. The 2021 Awards brought a virtual change and the pop, fizz, clink of a ballroom was replaced with costumes, computers, and the click of a mouse. The online livestream event was held at the Principal Award partner Dial Before You Dig on Saturday 13 November 2021 and the evening was hosted by 97.3fm breakfast host Terry Hansen with live crosses to winners and party goers throughout the evening. The Awards program showcased an amazing range of residential and commercial projects from throughout the state culminating in the announcement of the QLD Landscape Construction of the Year for both the Residential and Commercial segments of the industry. The backyard space has become a priority for many as they create their own private havens to share with family and friends and the commercial arena continues to grow with Queensland providing excellent parks, day-cares and urban landscape spaces.

To this backdrop, this year’s industry

awards program again showcased the high-level skills and professionalism of Landscape Queensland members. The evening also highlighted entertainment from the popular Landscape Queensland competition ‘Landscape Legend’ with the legend finalists entry videos being shown before announcing the final winner. Sponsors, category winners and those who received high commendations gathered Monday morning to celebrate, receive their trophies and plaques and enjoy networking. Overall, the 2021 Landscape Queensland Awards Program was a tremendous success and it is fantastic to see the diverse and high-level of skills in the industry. 9
