Yangmingshan Qianshan Park 採訪編輯:蘇孟宗 文字編輯:周子玉 照片提供:太研規劃設計顧問有限公司 Abstract The Yangmingshan Qianshan Park is located in Yangmingshan National Park, being the river valley constituted by Cising Mountain and Shamao Mountain. Brooks, with bridges running over, flow through the entire park. Its landscape is enchanting, becoming a popular picnic resort for visitors. About six hundred to one thousand years ago, ocean nomads sailed to and landed in Jinshan area. They settled down in present day Danshui, Shilin, and Beitou areas, founding the Ketangalan clan. They developed a sulfur refining technique. During Japanese rule, as it was nearby Taipei city, it became the fastest-growing area in the region. Parks, trails, hot spring and leisure facilities were built and developed, laying the foundation for becoming a leisure and recreational area. In 1985, Yangmingshan National Park was established, becoming the only place preserving the complete volcano landscapes of Taiwan, as well as the most important leisure and recreational zone and nature experience ground for nearby residents. Being a historic park, it has a number of special features and meanings. Since the beginning of the 20th century until the present day, various buildings and establishments have been constructed and scattered across the area in different time periods. Likewise, natural landscape and artificial facilities are scattered in different parts of the park, creating chaotic scenes and unpleasant views. In order to make these facilities closer to people’s expectations, Taipei City Government launched a park renewal scheme in Yangmingshan starting in 2014.
Design Key Points 1. There are rich contents of hot spring water, mountain spring, and irrigation water in the Yangmingshan water system. They blend, mix, and contaminate the original water quality. Therefore, the eutrophication problem in Yangming Lake needs to be rectified to develop its worth in the water system. 2. In the park, there are stone groups, stone bridges, brooks, moss parks, vegetation, and more left from the Japanese Occupation Era. With the change of time, the look of the Japanese style garden faded in its glory. The stone groups have been re-arranged to restore the park’s historical scenes from the past. 3. The facilities and pavement done in different times have been redone to create a better leisure atmosphere for users of this environment. 4. Emphasis has been placed on the coordination between the park and the environment. Hardware and facilities are painted with low-profile colors to allow them blend into the park naturally.
