Exhibit Abstract

Installation representing the passing of time and the relation to an emergency situation such as a fire. Reaction time is critical in an emergency sitution in order to minimize damage and allow for preservation. Residents and visitors of the Rochester area will be able to visualize as time passes the amount of destruction varies.

KEY FEATURES

Multiple entrances in the front and rear of the structure allowing visiotrs to curcculate thoughout the space however they feel will give them the best experience with the installation.

Retail of small sundials.

Two points of entry into the retail space. One entry is through one of the prexisting archways of the church where a door can be added. The second entry is located near the restrooms, this entry uses sliding glass panels which can open creating another point of entry.

Infographics throughout the exhibit installation explaining the significance of St. Joseph’s Clock Tower and the relation of time and what damages occured when during the tragic electrial fire that struck St. Joesph’s Church in 1979.

Recessed lighting is incorported within the exibit installation structure illumnating pathways and infographics. Strip lighting incorporated on the floor for uplighting and wayfinding.
