ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION CONCERT

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2024 AT 7PM

We open the season with a celebration of choral “bangers” — big, bold classics that have defined the artistry and achievement of the Chorale for the past 60 years. From the intricate polyphony of the Renaissance to the grandeur of the 19th and 20th centuries, experience the evolution of choral expression in one single, harmonious evening. G.F. HANDEL, W.A. MOZART (ARR.) Messiah

A tribute from one musical genius to another — Mozart’s “cover” of Handel’s Messiah is a revelation of symphonic grandeur and sensuous orchestral colors. In this extraordinary collaboration across centuries, Mozart’s nuanced arrangement elegantly enhances the grandeur of Handel’s sacred masterpiece. This is a rare opportunity to experience a beloved classic in a totally new way.
