WELCOME TO THE 2026 LAMBDA

CHI ALPHA SUMMER CONFERENCE

Brothers and friends,

Welcome to Kansas City and to a gathering that reflects the strength of Lambda Chi Alpha. This week brings together General Assembly Delegates, Stead Leadership Seminar Participants, Advisors, Alumni, Facilitators, and Partners, each playing a role in advancing our Fraternity. Though your experiences may differ, you are united by a shared commitment to leadership, growth, and Brotherhood.

Our theme this year, Discover Your Purpose, Define Your Legacy, is a challenge and an invitation. A challenge to take ownership of your role in Lambda Chi Alpha and your own development, and an invitation to think about the impact you will have on your Chapters, Brothers, and communities.

Our time together is meant to do more than inform; it is designed to challenge, connect, and inspire. Chapter Presidents and Delegates will help shape the future of Lambda Chi Alpha through governance and leadership. High Kappas and Stead Participants will strengthen how we educate and develop men of character. Advisors and Alumni will continue building

the support systems that allow our Members and Chapters to succeed.

You will hear new ideas, engage in meaningful conversations, and build relationships that last long after this conference concludes. I encourage you to be fully present, ask questions, share your perspective, and invest in one another.

Lambda Chi Alpha continues to evolve, but our purpose remains constant: developing ethical leaders and responsible citizens. This week is your opportunity to discover your purpose and further define the legacy you will leave behind.

Thank you for being here and for the role you play in shaping what comes next.

Amazing Race: Conference Closeout

The weekend has prepared you, now it’s time to prove it. In this final competition, you and your Brothers will work together to tackle challenges that bring your learning to life. Cross the finish line, complete the launch of the Ideal Man Institute, and carry what you’ve built here back home with you.

The crisis of boys & men

Young men today face unprecedented challenges. Academic struggles, digital isolation, and a crisis of belonging have left many without direction. Suicide rates among young men have tripled since the 1950s, and one in four students admits to considering suicide.

Nearly one-third of Lambda Chi’s come from single-parent homes, and 34% are the first in their families to join a fraternity. Digital isolation is rampant—46% of teens are online "almost constantly," and 70% admit to social media addiction. Meanwhile, men now make up only 37% of college enrollments, and 15% of young men report having no close friends.

Lambda Chi has always been more than a fraternity—it is a Brotherhood that supports and augments men’s belonging, character, and competence. In this rapidly changing landscape, Lambda Chi stands as a beacon of hope—a Brotherhood with a 115-year legacy of developing men into leaders, fathers, and stewards of their communities.

Men With Purpose

Imagine a world where every young man has the support, skills, and community to thrive. With the Men With Purpose Campaign, we are building that world—one Brother at a time. The Men With Purpose Campaign builds on Lambda Chi’s history and foundation, funding innovative programs designed to address the modern crises facing young men.

Men With Purpose is the most ambitious campaign in Lambda Chi’s history, and the most expansive in the fraternal world. Why? Because the challenges facing young men demand bold solutions. Over the next six years, we will invest $30 million in educational initiatives and grow our endowment by $30 million, ensuring our work continues in perpetuity.

Growth, Service, & Leadership

The campaign is structured around three pillars—Grow, Serve, and Lead—each designed to help men discover, refine, and fulfill their purpose.

Grow: Discover Your Purpose

• Expand the number of Chapters and Members while deepening the Member experience.

• Invest in market research and programs to help Members understand their latent capabilities.

Serve: Refine Your Purpose

• Leverage our most underutilized resource—Alumni—to provide local mentorship and support.

• Launch the Neville Advisors’ College to train Chapter Advisors and the General Assembly to foster governance skills.

Lead: Fulfill Your Purpose

• Equip men with the skills employers demand through leadership colleges, Officer certifications, and career-ready training programs.

• Introduce role-ready certifications and systematic skill-building programs.

Your role in our shared future

Our donors’ return on investment is seen in the lives of our Brothers as they become prepared to navigate the challenges of the modern world while upholding the values of integrity, leadership, and service. In doing so, our Brothers become better fathers, husbands, professionals, and community leaders.

This is more than a campaign; it is a movement to redefine what it means to be a man in today’s world. We invite you to be part of this historic effort. Whether through an outright gift, a deferred gift, or a blended philanthropic investment, your support will have a lasting impact.

About the Foundation

We believe no young man should have to face the world alone. That’s why we invest millions in grants and scholarships each year, supporting the transformational mentors, programs, and opportunities that define the Lambda Chi experience. Learn more by visiting lambdachifoundation.org.

LAMBDA CHI TERRITORIES: BUILDING THE FUTURE OF OUR BROTHERHOOD

The strength of our Brotherhood has always depended on one thing: how well we show up for each other.

Today we are taking a major step forward in answering that question by launching the Midwest Territory. With a focus on 27 Chapters, its mission is simple, yet powerful: put trained Brothers in front of Brothers.

It is not a pilot in name only. It is the foundation of a scalable system that will redefine how we build strong Chapters across North America.

Through territories, we are placing highly trained volunteers directly alongside Chapter leadership teams and Advisory Boards on a structured six-month cycle. This consistent, relational presence ensures that support is not occasional or reactive, but instead predictable and deeply connected to the experience of each Chapter.

But this initiative goes beyond presence. It is also about standardization and excellence at scale. By connecting with Chapters, we will be able to standardize curriculum delivery and create learning experiences that reinforce our values while setting Members up for success.

Operationally, Chapters will also benefit from sustained leadership support through regular leadership mentor meetings with High Alphas and consistent touchpoints with High Pi leadership. These structured engagements are designed to strengthen day-to-day Chapter management while identifying training needs before they become challenges.

In the first year, we expect to see clear improvement across all Chapter Success Metrics: Size, Finance, Philanthropy, High Pi and Advisory Board support, and

completion within core learning programs including Member Safety Fundamentals, Ideal Man, and Stead Leadership College.

But beyond the metrics, what matters most is what these outcomes represent: healthier Chapters, stronger leaders, and a safer, more sustainable Brotherhood experience for every member.

And this is only the beginning. Once proven, we aim to expand the model across North America.

For Undergraduate Brothers, this means more support, clarity, and opportunity to succeed.

For alumni, it represents something equally important: confidence that the organization they invested in continues to evolve, strengthen, and lead with intention.

This is not just an operational shift. It is a cultural one.

We are building a future where every Chapter has what it needs to thrive and every Brother has access to the support, education, and leadership development they deserve.

This is how we strengthen the Brotherhood.

This is how we scale excellence.

And this is how we move forward — together.

The Lambda Chi Foundation is the primary investing partner of Lambda Chi Alpha. But we are far more than a fraternal foundation. We are a champion of men, a force for good, and a voice of progress in our Fraternity and beyond. In this spirit, we have launched a new brand identity.

Bold Mission, Vision, and Brand Promise

At the heart of the new brand are two principles that drive us forward:

• Mission: The Lambda Chi Foundation proves that fraternity, done right, is one of the most transformative forces for developing men with purpose.

• Vision: No young man should have to face the world alone.

Our brand promise is both a commitment to our donors and an invitation to make a difference. It is a reminder that meaningful change begins with one man—and that the results of our efforts speak for themselves: Invest in One Man. Impact Every Life He Touches. Meet the Evidence.

Brand Identity

At the center is a classic Lambda Chi symbol: our lamp, representing our Brothers’ potential, together with its gold flame – the light of Lambda Chi - exemplifying our hope for the future of our Brotherhood. Held within a circle, without beginning or end, we remind ourselves of our Fraternity’s highest symbol, the Crescent: pure, high, and ever-growing.

More than a century after our founding, in a world much evolved, these timeless symbols remain our cornerstones and purpose for intentionally investing in the lives of young men. As we look ahead, our focus remains the same: creating opportunities for young men to belong, grow, and lead.

Investing in Men With Purpose

The Lambda Chi Foundation invests in men with purpose. Every young man is searching for his purpose. Fraternity helps him find the answer—and pursue his path with conviction. Every program and initiative we fund helps more men discover their passion, refine their skills, and one day fulfill their ambition. Because we know that men with purpose not only lead happier lives, they become better leaders, better followers, better husbands, better partners, better fathers, and better people.

This refreshed brand reflects our belief that young men thrive when given brotherhood, mentorship, and leadership opportunities in a structured, supportive environment. We see the challenges men face and choose to take action—not only investing in answers but pioneering real solutions.

Harry S. Truman rose from humble beginnings in Missouri to become one of America’s most consequential leaders, guiding the nation through the end of World War II and helping rebuild Europe through the Marshall Plan. An honorary initiate of Lambda Chi Alpha at the University of Missouri, he embodied the fraternity’s values of leadership, integrity, service, and courage.

Lambda Chi Alpha honors his legacy through the Harry S. Truman High Alpha Award, recognizing the most outstanding Chapter Presidents, and by observing May 8 as Harry Truman Day, a time for Members to reflect on his leadership, character, and commitment to service.
