Averi's Chapter Book Club Facebook Live Event 4 p.m. Nov. 18 Averi invites other middle-grade kids to join her in reading Mr. Summerling's Secret Code, the first story in Dori Hillestad Butler's Treasure Troop series.

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-yourpants approach to creative writing.

Every story matters.

November is the perfect chance to start writing yours.

Socks & Gloves Drive The Main Branch Children's Department is collecting new items for The Van.

Writing a novel alone can be difficult, even for seasoned writers. NaNoWriMo.org helps you track your progress, set milestones, connect with other writers in a vast community, and participate in events that are designed to make sure you finish your novel. Oh, and best of all, it’s free!

Main Branch Teen Center invites 12- to 18-year-olds to collaborate on a short story with prizes and word goals. There's also a special NaNoWriMo Young Writers Program at nanowrimo.org.
