RUIDERO | NYC | 2017
Laia Solé + Thelma García
Tour/exploration of the everyday life “noise” –ruido– through a collective walk along 14th street. We walk and stop by specific places to stare and hear RUIDERO noisescapes as they blend with the everyday life of the street. Ruidero isolates and emphasizes specific “noises” –visual and auditive– within everyday life to create an enhanced present.
RUIDERO uses online-related technology (QR code) to transmit the noisescapes directly to people’s personal devices-smartphones. People are invited to bring their own headphones and smartphones.
Ruidero is part of Art in Odd Places | SENSES | 2017, curated by Jodi Waynberg, Nicolás Dumit Estévez Raful, Rocío Aranda.
