Lake Valley Golf Club 2022 Program

Welcome! We are happy to provide you with the Lake Valley Golf Program for 2022! Thanks to member comments, suggestions and past participation, we believe that we have developed a fun and exciting program for this season. We would also like to thank you in advance for your participation and support of our golf operation; they are key ingredients to the success of our Club! This booklet will serve as an informative guide to all golf activities for 2022 (updates, if necessary, will be posted on the website, www.lakevalley.com and also be sent out by email). It includes event info and policies, fees and pricing, junior and adult lessons and programs, as well as info on the Private Club Network, Open Rounds, Club Corp, and our "Hole-in-One Insurance” program. Also included is important information and dates regarding activities for the Junior Golf Program, Guest Day, Snake Quest, the Valley Crown, Demo Days and Golf Course facts.

Please sign up early for our events and activities. It assures their success and helps us to better prepare for them. You can sign up on the website www.lakevalley.com, in the Golf Shop, by email, or by phone at 303.444.2114 ext. 201.

We are proud to provide high quality Golf Instruction Programs for adults and juniors. Our staff has years of teaching experience. I, along with Tyler, Eric and Rudy will work to ensure that all of your golf instruction needs are met. Details are in the Instruction Section of this booklet. As always, we look forward to your feedback and suggestions. If there is anything we can do to make your experiences here at the Club more enjoyable, please don’t hesitate to let us know. -Cameron Morton, PGA Head Golf Professional

Lake Valley is lucky to have such a knowledgeable and hard working chef! paul@lakevalley.com

Maintenance Team Ian Johnson Superintendent

So much of Lake Valley's success is owed to Superintendent, Ian Johnson. The course's stellar playing conditions are thanks to the hard work and planning of Ian and his team. 2020 and 2021 were very challenging on the golf course due to an unprecedented number of rounds played, but Ian's ingenuity and adaptability guaranteed consistently wonderful course conditions. We're lucky to have Ian, and his new pup Vino, taking great care of the golf course for everyone to enjoy.

Logan Fossen

Assistant Superintendent Logan just celebrated his third anniversary at Lake Valley, and what a tremendous addition to our team he has been! Logan was promoted to the Assistant Superintendent position this past summer, and has begun furthering his education through turf management courses at Front Range C.C. We can't say enough good things about Logan's work ethic, dedication, and uplifting attitude!

Bud Epperson Mechanic

Bud is Lake Valley's longest standing employee. Absolutely no one at The Club has seen more than this guy. In our opinion, he is one of the best mechanics IN THE COUNTRY. Few can do what he does with our mowers and the pristine course conditions you see every day are due, in no small part, to Bud's expertise and experience.

A Lake Valley G.C. Primer Please use this “Primer” to help answer many questions you may have about Club policies, rules and procedures. Additional information can also be found on the Lake Valley App or the Club’s website.

Dress Guidelines The fundamental concept of the dress code is respect. Respect for other members and respect for the Club and its traditions. The staff is authorized to enforce our dress code. Members not meeting these requirements will be asked to comply, leave the property and/or receive a notice of their violation. Members are responsible for the dress of their dependents and guests as well. There are two dress codes, one for the Golf Course and ALL Practice Areas and a more lax one for the Persimmon Grill. Acceptable: Men: Shirts with collars and sleeves, mock turtleneck shirts, golf slacks, golf length or slightly shorter shorts (but not short shorts or athletic shorts), jeans that are not torn

Not Acceptable: Men and Women: Tank tops, tee shirts*, fishnet tops, halter tops, cut–offs, jams, sweat pants, torn jeans, bathing suits, gym shorts, athletic shorts, short shorts

Women: Golf shirts, sleeveless golf shirts, golf slacks, shorts or skorts (of a length similar to those worn on the LPGA tour or longer), jeans that are not torn

Clubhouse/Persimmon Grill Same as above except * clean, untorn, tee shirts with no offensive slogans are OK in the Grill.

Children 13 and under have a more relaxed dress code and may wear t-shirts, short shorts, athletic pants, gym shorts, tank tops, etc. 9

A Lake Valley G.C. Primer Booking Tee Times Regular tee times may be booked up to 5 days in advance (i.e., Monday for Saturday), starting at midnight on our website or the LVGC APP. You may also book them through the Golf Shop by phone or in person. Regardless of how booked, you should receive a confirmation e-mail almost immediately. If you don’t receive a confirmation, please inquire. You are allowed to book up to two tee times at once by selecting multiple tee times if you have more players than will fit into one time. While the tee times can be successive (more than 4 or 5 players), you cannot book multiple tee times for yourself or others within 4.5 hours of each other. We encourage you to complete your tee time registration as completely as possible when booking; names of all players and mode of transportation so we can properly prepare. TBD’s and other placeholders will automatically be removed 48 hours in advance to allow tee sheet access to as many members as possible. We also encourage you to pair-up when possible, rather than having a course filled with singles and 2-somes. No 5-somes may be booked on weekends or Holidays before 12:30 and a 5-some booking requires the consent of all players. The Golf Shop will not create unrequested 5-somes. Last minute bookings (within 1 hour of the tee time) and cancellations must be made by phone or in person as they are not available online.

Cancellations & No Shows You are encouraged to cancel any tee time or portion thereof that won’t be used as far in advance as possible. Repeated failures to cancel in advance or to show up with fewer players than reserved may result in suspension or revocation of advance booking privileges

Guests Guest (anyone not on your membership) play and practice is encouraged but limited. An individual may use the golf facilities as a guest ten times from May 1st to October 31st. Children, grandchildren and parents of Golf Members and Charter Members may use the golf facilities up to 10 times during such period. Additionally, any individual may use the golf facilities as a guest ten times from November 1st to April 30th of the following year. You are responsible for the actions of your guests when they visit The Guest fee schedule (course/practice facilities) may be found on the website or obtained in the Golf Shop. Unaccompanied Guest play/practice must be paid for by the member on their account while Accompanied Guests may pay for themselves in the Golf Shop. There are no guest fees for grandchildren (under 16 years of age) of those with Family level dues but they must be accompanied by the grandparent while playing or practicing. 10

A Lake Valley G.C. Primer Check-In It is important that you check-in with the Golf Shop before going to play for many reasons including our ability to help others find you in the event of an emergency. Please extend our staff that courtesy and make it your habit to do so. The Golf Shop is located on the bottom floor at the South side of the Clubhouse.

Practice Areas The Practice Areas (putting green, short game area, and Driving Range) are for the use of members and checked-in guests. The Course Dress Guidelines apply to the practice areas as well. Please follow all instructions regarding use (frost closures, evening closures, mats only on Mondays, etc.). Failure to do so may result in loss of privileges. Please do not remove golf balls from any of the practice areas or take them from one area to another. Please rake the practice bunkers when you have finished. And please be careful of cars parked along Lake Valley Dr. as you are responsible for any damage caused by errant shots. The Driving Range has hitting areas on both ends (Upper/North and Lower/South). Access to the South end is on the west side of the Range, not down hole #9. If you are a long hitter and happen to hit a shot far enough to get to the other side be sure to yell FORE! and immediately cease hitting any Club that will reach the end. Low Chipping (no ball marks) is allowed at the practice putting green outside the Clubhouse.

11

A Lake Valley G.C. Primer Golf Carts Rental carts are available in the Golf Shop. You are encouraged to pair up when possible and take as few carts as are necessary to minimize wear on the golf course. Please observe all rules when operating the carts including keeping all 4 tires on cart paths at all tees and greens (on hole #9 keep right of the right bunker and trees), follow all signs as well as the green lines painted on the grass as you approach the greens. No more than 2 adults are allowed in the cart and no one is allowed to stand on the back of the cart. Handicap Flags are available for those medically unable to walk very far. We also have Courtesy Carts which can be borrowed to take out to the driving range and back. They are identifiable by placards on the front and are not for use on the golf course or to be monopolized. Please do not load your personal belongings on them until you are ready to leave and please remove them when you have returned.

Scooters & Boards In addition to Riding Carts, Lake Valley has electric scooters and boards for rent. In order to rent a scooter or board you must first watch a video on our website and execute a waiver form which is good for all successive rentals either here or at other Clubs where they are available.

Pace of Play We pride ourselves on a quick Pace of Play at Lake Valley. The course has a USGA pace rating of 2 hours per 9 holes. Please play at that pace or more quickly if possible. If others behind you are faster and there is an open hole ahead please either close the gap or invite them to play through. If your pace slows to 4:20 or more you may be asked to skip a hole or two to catch up. If you are behind a group playing at a pace slower than 2 hours per 9, don’t hesitate to courteously request to play through if there is an open hole ahead and/or call the Golf Shop for assistance. If you find that you are unable to consistently play 9 holes in 2 hours or less, please consult Golf Shop for tips and please refrain from booking tee times either early in the day or on busy days. 12

A Lake Valley G.C. Primer The Persimmon Grill The Persimmon Grill is open to members and the Public for your dining or to-go pleasure. Club Members have no Food and Beverage Minimum, but you are encouraged to support the Grill and our staff as much as possible. Much like other restaurants, “outside” food and drinks, especially alcohol is not allowed on the Club’s premises. Reservations are not required but please let us know in advance if you plan to have a party larger than six. We do not have a beverage cart but are happy to provide soft sided to-go coolers that can be taken out on the course. In order to help facilitate pace of play, if you desire to pick up food at the turn please place your order either by phone or on the APP from either the 8th or 17th tee. If you call, please inform the Grill of your location. Groups choosing to stop and eat between 9’s will not be guaranteed a space on the course and must check with the Golf Shop before resuming play.

Lake Use Lake Valley members are allowed to use the lake to the south of Hole #4 (accessed off Ace Ct) subject to all the Rules of the Lake Valley HOA. Before going to the Lake you must secure one of the Club’s Lake Passes. The Passes are available in three time slots (9am to 12:15pm, 12:30 to 3:15 pm and 3:30 to 7 pm) and can be reserved by calling the Grill (ext.7). We also have a row boat and oars that can be checked out. Please keep the Pass with you at all times as security may ask to see it and please follow all lake rules on the pass and posted signs as we are HOA guests.

13

A Lake Valley G.C. Primer Smoking, Cell Phone Use, Music Boulder County Ordinances prohibit smoking within 25 feet of the entrance to any public building including our Clubhouse. Additionally, smoking is prohibited within 25 feet of where food is being served including temporarily. Please follow these rules while on Club property. We do not prohibit the use of cell phones but do request that you use them discreetly whether inside or out. Please don’t use your phone on the course unless all members of your group agree, and you can still keep pace. If you are unable to control the volume of your phone or your voice, please do not use your phone here at all. Frequent violators will simply be prohibited from future use while at the Club. If you plan to play music while on the course, please obtain the consent of all those in your group first and make sure the volume is low enough that it can’t be heard by others in front, behind or on adjacent holes.

Etiquette & Course Conditioning Please be courteous and respectful to others while enjoying your time at the Club. Loud or abusive language or actions while here will not be tolerated. It is every member’s responsibility to help maintain the golf course. Please rake all marks out of a bunker and leave the rake outside the bunker parallel to the bunker edge. When exiting a bunker, exit on the low side. Repair all ball marks and replace all divots that are deep enough to have soil attached. Please use provided sand bottles where divots “shatter” or are too thin to replace. Refill bottles for riding and push carts are located at the staging area and the first tee and can be obtained from the outside service staff.

Golf Course Facts Our Press Maxwell designed golf course fully opened in 1965 and features a variety of holes and spectacular views of the Flatirons and foothills. The 6891 yard, par 70 course is challenging enough to test the most avid golfer and yet from the correct tees (we have 6 sets) can be enjoyed by the novice as well. Beginners and youngsters love our family tees which bring the yardage down to 2896 yards, but still offer the full "experience." A 70-yard short game practice area, a large practice putting green and target-rich driving range are great compliments to our well maintained course and an ethic of outstanding pace of play.

Event Policies Play in Member Events and get rewarded with Golf Shop Credit!

1) The Tournament Committee requires that a Member participant’s handicap be kept at Lake Valley Golf Club for all events that require a handicap. 2) Usually 2/3 of prize money is paid net and 1/3 is paid gross. - Usually 30% of the field is paid. 3) Unless otherwise designated all events are open to Members only. 4) Minimum age to play is 15 years old the day of the first round of the event. 5) Players with newly established GHIN numbers must enter 54 holes worth of scores (any combination of 9-hole and 18-hole rounds) in the GHIN system before a handicap index is established. The Maximum Handicap index for men and women is 54.0. Revisions occur on a daily basis at midnight. For most events that use handicaps, the Golf Shop will use the revision of the day registration closes.

7) Registration for all events will begin March 15th and can be done online, by phone or in person but online is greatly preferred. With the exception of Snake Quest, registration will be first-come, first-served and will continue until 7 days prior to an event. If the maximum number of slots are filled before registration closes, you will be informed that you are on a wait-list and kept apprised of your position. As registration will be limited for each event, all registrants who withdraw after registration has closed will be charged for the event if their spot is not filled. 8) $2 of each tournament fee collected throughout the year is allocated for tee prizes and prizes for the Ryder Cup. 50 cents of each tournament fee collected throughout the year is allocated for prizes for the Shoot-Out.

6) To accommodate member non-tournament play as much as possible most events have a limit on the number of players or times based on history and estimates by the Tournament Committee.

Tournament Glossary

In order to help you better understand the formats and events at Lake Valley, we have created the following glossary of terms. If you come across some other terms that need to be defined, please let us know and we’ll include them in the future.

1

ABCD Scramble

A variation of Scramble format (See Scramble definition). The field is divided into A, B, C, and D players based on their handicaps (See ‘handicap’ definition) with ‘A’ players being the lowest handicaps, ‘D’ players being the highest. Each team of 4 gets an A, B, C, and D player. Normal Scramble format after the teams have been made.

2

Alternate Shot

Also known as ‘Foursomes’ A format in which two golfers play as partners, playing only one golf ball, taking turns playing the strokes. In other words, the two golfers alternate hitting shots.

3

Alternate Shot Scramble

A combination of Scramble and Alternate Shot (see ‘Scramble’ definition) Teams of 4 or 6 are divided into 2 groups with all the players in one group hitting first. The best shot is selected after all the players in that group have hit. The other group then plays from there and the process repeats until the ball is holed.

4

Best Ball (fourball)

Usually done with 2 person teams. Each player uses their own ball throughout the round with the best score on each hole being selected as the team score (can be Gross or Net).

5

2 Net Best Ball

This is a variation of best ball where there are 4 players on a team and instead of just one score being selected on each hole, the team will choose the 2 best Net scores on each hole as the team score.

6

2 Best Balls of 4, 1 Gross 1 Net

This is a variation of best ball where there are 4 person teams and 1 Net score and 1 Gross score is selected on each hole (must be two separate balls) as the team’s score (see ‘Net’ and ‘Gross’ definitions).

23

Tournament Glossary Continued

7

Chapman Scotch

Two Person Teams. On par 4 and 5 holes, each player hits a tee shot, then hits the second shot using their partner’s ball. After the second shot, you pick one of the balls. If you pick player A’s second shot, player B must hit the third shot and you will alternate shots after that. This format is also called “hit, switch, hit, select.” On the par 3 holes, each player hits a tee shot, then you pick one of the balls and alternate shots until the ball is holed.

8

Course Handicap

Is a whole number representing the number of handicap stokes allotted to you for a particular round of golf from a certain tee (i.e. white, blue, yellow, etc.). It is computed using your Handicap Index (usually expressed with a decimal) and the Slope System, it can be obtained on the GHIN APP or by using the Course Handicap charts located near the downstairs bathrooms.

Gross Score vs Net Score

‘Net score’ refers to a golfer's score after handicap strokes have been deducted. Put more technically, the net score is a player's Gross Score (the actual number of strokes played) minus the strokes his or her course handicap allows to be deducted during the course of the round.

10

Handicap Strokes

Your course handicap is the number of Handicap Stokes you are allotted each round and represents the difference between your gross and net score. They are distributed in accordance with the hole by hole “handicaps” on the score card in a match or net best ball context (you get a stroke on every hole where your Course Handicap is higher than the handicap rating assigned to that hole, if your handicap exceeds 18 you get a stroke on every hole where your Course Handicap exceeds the sum of 18 and the rating assigned to that hole). In Net Stroke Play format your total number of handicap strokes are simply subtracted from your total Gross Score.

11

Handicap Index

A USGA Handicap Index is a numeral, to one decimal place, that represents a golfer's potential for scoring. A handicap index of 14.5, for example, indicates that a golfer will, on his or her best days, shoot somewhere around 14 or 15 strokes over par. Handicap Index is not an average of a golfer's scores, but rather an estimate of what the golfer might shoot on his or her best days. Handicap Index is figured through a complicated formula that, thankfully, individual golfers are unlikely to ever use themselves. But the gist of it is this: Take your 20 most recent golf scores. Throw out the 12 worst. Average the rest. Multiply by 96-percent.

12

Horserace

A format used for The Shootout and the final portion of the SnakeQuest, a horse race is a kind of ‘survivor’ format where a player or players get eliminated on each hole. For example, 12 players play the first hole and the 2 with the highest scores are eliminated. The remaining 10 players play the second hole and someone gets eliminated on that hole. This continues until there is only one person left standing as the winner.

13 Match Play (USGA Definition) A match consists of one side playing against another in a hole by hole format over a stipulated number of holes. Except as otherwise provided in the Rules, a hole is won by the side that holes its ball in fewer strokes (Gross or Net depending on the format). The state of the match is expressed by the terms: so many "holes up" or "all square," (tied)” with so many to play."

14 Mixed Format Competition There are a couple of events at Lake Valley (like the 6,6,6 ) that require the use of mixed formats. This simply means that certain holes will be played with one format (Best Ball for example) while other holes are played with a different format (Scramble for example). It can also mean that some players will play one format while others play a different one.

15

Modified Scotch

A format where both players hit a tee shot on each hole and the best shot is selected. If you pick player A’s tee shot, player B must hit the 2nd shot and you will alternate shots after that - player A hits the 3rd shot, player B hits the 4th shot and so on.You must play and finish the hole with the same ball that is chosen.

16

Pari-Mutual Wagering

A wagering system in which bettors place wagers on competitors to win, place or show. All bets of a particular type are placed together in a pool and payoff odds are calculated by sharing the pool among all winning bets.

17

Scramble

Typically played with 4 players, this format emphasizes fun by taking away the pressure of players keeping an individual score. In this format, everyone hits a tee shot and the best one is selected. All players then hit from there and the process is repeated until the ball is holed. Even though four players are on a team, only one score gets written down on each hole. If there is net scoring in a scramble event, players course handicaps will be adjusted to obtain a team handicap which is then deducted from the Gross score at the end.

18 Scratch When a player or event does not use handicaps, they are considered scratch. This simply means that no strokes will be deducted from players’ scores so that all play uses Gross scores as opposed to Net scores.

19 Shotgun vs Tee Times When an event is using tee times, all players will go off of the #1 or #10 tee and play all the holes in the same order. In a Shotgun event however, groups are spread out over various holes on the course so as to get everyone starting and finishing at the same time. The holes are played in order beginning where you start. For example, if a group starts on hole #5, their last hole will be #4.

20

Shootout

See 'Horserace' Definition

21

Stableford

A format where, rather than counting the total number of strokes taken as in stroke play, players score points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole (1 point for bogey, 2 points for par, etc.).

22

Stroke Play (USGA Definitition)

A stroke play competition consists of competitors completing each hole of a stipulated round or rounds and, for each round, returning a score card on which there is a gross score for each hole. Each competitor is playing against every other competitor in the competition. The competitor who plays the stipulated round or rounds in the fewest strokes is the winner. In a handicapped competition, the competitor with the lowest net score for the stipulated round or rounds is the winner.

The Lottery March 15th through March 30th Registration will begin on March 15. To register log in to our website www.lakevalley.com and proceed to the Calendar or Event Registration and the Snake Quest (June 9) and register there. No e-mails, phone calls or inperson registrations will be accepted. If you need assistance, please call us and we’ll walk you through the process. You will receive a confirming e-mail. An up to date list of all registrants is available on the Snake Quest registration page at the “Others Attending” tab. At noon on March 30th, we will cut off registration. If fewer than 44 members have registered by the cutoff all registrants will have a spot in the SQ and we will reopen registration on March 31st on a first-come basis until the event is fully subscribed and then a wait list will be established.

If more than 44 members have registered as of the cutoff, we will have a lottery drawing at 11 AM on March 31st to determine the field and an ordered waitlist will be established from among all registrants. The lottery will have the following parameters: 1. Last 3 SQ winners who registered are automatically in. (Multiple winners count once). 2. All those registered before the cut-off get one lottery entry (chance). 3. Past champions get one extra chance for each win. 4. One extra chance will be given for each year you played in the Snake Quest from 2000 to the year of the drawing. 5. One extra chance for those who in previous years (beginning with 2015) registered before the cut-off, did not get picked in the first 44, went on and stayed on the waitlist and did not get in (no extra chance for being added to the waitlist after the lottery). 6. One spot will be reserved for a member who joined after the previous year’s Snake Quest. (If after 43 names are drawn no new member has secured a spot a drawing will take place among all new members registered for the drawing). The lottery will be held in the West Room and the list of all names chosen and the waitlist will be e-mailed and published shortly thereafter. FYI, the last two years everyone who was on the waitlist and stayed on it eventually got into the event. All those who are chosen will have their accounts billed for the $750 fee on their May 1 statement. If you drop out, your spot will be offered to the first member on the wait list who will have 48 hours to commit. Any ‘wait-lister’ who confirms will be billed immediately after confirmation. Once charged, no refunds will be given except for cancellations received before May 15th but then only if another team takes your place. We look forward to another great SQ and strongly encourage you to register between March 15th and March 30th at noon if you think you want to play. If you have any questions, please call or stop in the Golf Shop.

Pre-Booked & Reserved Tee Times “Pre-booked” or reserved tee times serve a valuable purpose here at Lake Valley and many of them have a long tradition as well; long preceding the privatization of the Club. While some members believe these times should not be allowed, Club management and the Board of Advisors recognize their importance and advocates their judicious use.

Many factors will be taken into account when deciding whether to add or remove any reserved times to the list below. Some of these include; the number of times requested, their proximity to other existing reserved times, the day of week and time of day, the group being served and its size relative to the number of tee times requested, the “openness” of the times to others wanting to join the users, the effect the times will likely have on course maintenance, Golf Shop maintenance, etc. Most importantly it will be incumbent upon those requesting the times to demonstrate the benefits these times will have to the Club (other members and management) and how they differ from other similar prebooked times.

It is essential that when pre-booked times are reserved that they are actually used and/or released in sufficient time to make them available to the general membership. If the group has a leader we will work with the leader to facilitate use and release. As many of these times are held for groups with no “leader” the following protocol will be in place to help achieve this goal. It should be remembered that it is a privilege to play in these times and the responsibility falls on those members wanting to avail themselves of this privilege to follow these guidelines. Each week we will hold (pre-book) x tee times for a group. Players in the group must stop in, call the Golf Shop or e-mail golfshop@lakevalley.com anytime starting 5 days ahead to place their name on the list of players wishing to participate during those times. We will fill the times in order starting with the earliest and work our way towards the last one. At Golf Shop closing 2 days before play we will release the last tee time if there aren’t enough players registered to have anyone in that time. At closing the day before play we will release all remaining tee times that have no one registered in them unless at that time the Golf Shop believes there is some benefit to the Club in not releasing a portion of them.

Pre-Booked & Reserved Tee Times You must register through the golf shop to assure a spot in all prebooked tee time blocks Placing your name on the list assures you a spot in one of the group times but not one specific tee time. The group leader or the group is responsible to determine who will play with whom and when keeping in mind that all those who are on the tee sheet have priority to all who have not pre-registered. Weather permitting 5-somes will be allowed (but not required) to help accommodate latecomers but only if all are riding carts, boards or bikes and an acceptable pace of play is maintained. Please do not expect to play if you have not called the Golf Shop or e-mailed to pre-register and been told there is space. Members who regularly take spots in these times and don’t cancel 24 hours in advance will be subject to having their privileges to play in these pre-booked times suspended. It is our hope that if these basic guidelines are followed we will be able to continue this great tradition and the Club as a whole will benefit.

As of October 1, 2017 the following Groups are allocated Pre-Booked Tee Times: Ladies 18 hole League – 7 tee times on Tuesday mornings April thru October, time changes during the season. Partner Benefits & Reciprocal Play Private Club Network

OpenRounds Network

The Private Club Network (PCN) is the largest independent, private club-to-club reciprocal network featuring golf privileges for the price of $25 or $50. The Private Club Network includes 202 private courses nationwide. All Lake Valley Members are automatically PCN members. In order to take advantage of the away privileges you must register at www.privateclubnetwork.com (1-800-547-0838) and follow their directions.

Lake Valley has partnered with OpenRounds to provide you with streamlined access to clubs you may wish to play in your travels. Access to OpenRounds is free and simple to navigate, at your convenience. When you use it to set up play at participating clubs you will be charged the guest fees set by each club. www.openrounds.com

PCN will call the Club you are interested in just as they call us for visiting members. The starting time cannot be made by the club member. PCN Guests pay a $50 fee for 18 holes at Lake Valley (or 9 holes – no discount) which includes cart and range balls. If you would like to play at a different PCN Club, they might have a different rate from ours. PCN tee times can bring guests, but the guests must pay a reciprocal fee. There are no specific days of week or time restrictions but it is likely that each Club will have some restrictions to ensure visiting PCN guests do not cause members to be turned away. Here at Lake Valley we do allow PCN play during prime times. Example: A Saturday morning in June would not be allowed. A Saturday morning in November probably would be allowed. If you are unaware of the PCN policies at a certain club, you may contact a member of our golf staff and we will try and get that information before you set up your tee time through PCN.

Registration Register at the link below. There is no charge to register. The staff at OpenRounds will then verify you as a member, and you’ll receive an “Access Granted” email message. https://www.openrounds.com/users/sign_up Booking Rounds Once you’ve gained access to OpenRounds, you will be able to browse courses and submit a request to play. Steps are as follows: (1) Submit a request including day/time, number of guests, and a message to the host club (2) Host club accepts/re-proposes/declines your request (3) If request is accepted, payment is made via OpenRounds platform prior to the date of play (4) A detailed itinerary is provided via email so that you may familiarize yourself with the host and its policies prior to arrival. When you log-in to OpenRounds, there is a check box for “keep me logged in”. If you check this box while logging in, you will be able to click the links here at Lake Valley and not have to log-in again. Additionally, your golf staff and OpenRounds customer service will be more than happy to book on your behalf any time.
