Dear LWB, it is with great anticipation & bated breath that the Colliers Lunch Time Quiz Team gather around the water cooler on a Thursday afternoon to partake in the weekly LWB Quiz. Imagine our shock, neigh horror, when last weeks’ issue produced answers without the somewhat necessary questions required in order to rate your relative success or otherwise.
Despite a rather feeble attempt at producing the questions ourselves we found we were fundamentally lacking the essentials for a hot and heated quiz sess. We got worried when we saw that a bunch of Real Estate agents routinely get 100% of the LWB quiz questions correct (we put a great deal of effort into ensuring that Queenstown feels challenged every Tuesday) but then we noticed that you do give yourselves two whole days after the LWB is published to thoroughly research the questions before your staff water cooler competition on Thursday.
Mayor. Have you ever come across the saying ”bigger is not always better”. I think if you and your fellow councillors did a real poll of the long term mum and dad ratepayers you will find most are sick and tried of the flash harries who have buggered this town and bought it to the sad state it is.

Yet while the QLDC spoil us with its 10 year master plans and billion dollar aspirational dreams, we the holi poli patiently wait for the playground which is 6 months overdue, the gutters to be cleaned, large vacant council spaces to be turned into carparparks. The rubbish that litters the wider CDB to be picked up. The enforcement of those who park day in day out on our verges and driveways. We wait for the stop to ceaseless attemps to montenize or turn our public places into cash cows or venues to provide for vanity projects or further enrichment oppurtunities for the big end of town, thus further excusubating the problems the area already faces.
No more off-putting is the PR spin emitting from all those who are looking to monitize themselves from promoting the proposed big new edifice that the

So it seems to me that council will go ahead and develop at all cost and don’t listen to the people. The experts already say the Airport is passed its used by date but what do they know? It’s not just for Frankton to be concerned this will affect all residents and tourists.
Deeply Concerned For Queenstown Here is an idea, if you don’t like noise, don’t buy a house next to an airport or a railway line. It’s not rocket science, it used to be called common sense, sadly lacking these days.
