Your Path to a Bachelor’s Degree

Start or Pick Up Where You Left Off, and Finish Anywhere

Life happens. If you started on the path to your bachelor’s degree and needed to pause for any reason, we are here to help you pick up where you left off. If not having a bachelor’s is keeping you from where you want to be in your career, we are here to help.

Completing an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree at Lakeshore can save you almost $9,000 in tuition alone compared to the average cost of a public four-year in-state university.*

Both degrees cover general education requirements for a bachelor’s degree and include elective courses. Both also offer guaranteed junior standing when you transfer to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, or Lakeland University.

Our Academic Counselors will help ensure your coursework is selected appropriately, regardless of where you want to complete your bachelor’s—in state, out of state, or online. They will also help you determine whether any college credits you’ve already completed can be applied toward your degree.

4 Advantages to Starting at Lakeshore

1 Save thousands in tuition alone compared to starting at a four-year university.

2 Transfer with guaranteed junior standing to UW-Green Bay, UW Oshkosh, UW-Milwaukee, or Lakeland University.

3 Learn from highly educated faculty who are also experienced in their fields.

4 Easily access faculty thanks to our low 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio.

Our Students Say It Best!

Jill Brotz wanted to move forward in her manufacturing career. The design engineers she was working with, some of whom were Lakeshore College graduates, were helpful in advising her. Jill strongly encourages women to enter the field and has this advice for them, based off her experience early in the program as she compared herself to men who grew up with an interest in mechanical things:

But I’ve learned that there are so many other skills that go into being successful as a design engineer, such as a high attention to detail, a curious mind, and a problem-solving mentality. Learning the ins and outs of mechanical design comes with time, through school and job training.

Mechanical Design & Engineering Technology | Phi Theta Kappa

Sean Engel was intrigued by a culinary job shadow experience at Johnsonville, where he had been working as an engineering technician for 15 years. It led him to explore a Culinary Arts degree. Sean chose Lakeshore College based on location, cost, and American Culinary Federation accreditation. As a married father with two teenage daughters, Sean says he finds it exciting to see younger students begin their career journeys:

They might not know it yet, but they’ve already made decisions that will have an impact on the rest of their lives. It has opened my mind a little as well, reminding me that we all have a different story and that everyone might approach a situation or task differently.
