The Belle River Marina, in the Municipality of Lakeshore is a full service, ‘deep water’ marina with 252 seasonal and 10 transient docks plus 16 jet-ski slips for dock inserts. Facilities include a restaurant, mid-grade and diesel fuel, pump-out facilities, 24 hour security, gated docks, pavilion, fibre optic wifi, double access boat ramp, and washrooms with private showers.

2023 Seasonal Dates:

April 1, 2023—Remaining balance due in full.

May 1, 2023—Marina opens for the season.

October 15, 2023—Marina closes for the season and security contract concludes.

Program Registration Information Lakeshore Recreation makes it easy for you to register for programs. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS •

Registration options include in-person at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre Front Desk, online at lakeshore.ca/recreation and by telephone 519-727-0470.

Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Programs fill up quickly!

Program fees are as listed. Program fees have already been pro-rated to take into consideration classes that fall on statutory holidays or for special event rentals.

If a program is full, you can request to be placed on a waiting list. Participants cannot be registered in one class and on a waiting list for another class. Individuals on a waiting list will be contacted only if a space becomes available, or if a new class has been added if available; you will have 24 hours to respond once contacted or others will be contacted.

No registrations or class transfers will be accepted after the 3rd class. No credits or make up classes are available for missed classes. Programs will not be over registered; make sure you are ready to register at the day and time of registration to ensure you get into your preferred program!

Programs that do not meet minimum numbers will be cancelled before the program start date. Please register for all programs prior to the program start date.

If the Municipality of Lakeshore cancels your class, a full refund by your initial method of payment will be issued to you.

Withdrawing from a class by a participant •

Participant will be offered a credit on their Activenet account (less the classes attended) OR

A refund to payment method (less the classes attended) administration fee applies.

A $33.00 Administration Fee will be charged to all refunds. No credit or make up classes for classes missed by a participant

Should any of Lakeshore Recreation’s programs be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or other circumstances, participants will be notified—by phone, municipal Facebook page and Lakeshore Recreation Facebook page. (participants will receive a credit on their Activenet account)

If three (3) or more members of the same household register in programs or the same person registers in 3 or more programs in the same session, a 10% discount will be applied to most programs.

Activenet program receipts are generated automatically via email at the time of registration. These receipts could be used for tax purposes. Please ensure your email address is up to date on your Activenet account.

Consult your Doctor before starting any programs—please be aware that there are always risks associated with any physical activity. Before you begin any program, it is always best to consult your doctor.

Due to limited funding, only Lakeshore residents are eligible to apply for this subsidy program Funds are based on the size of the family unit and maximum family income levels established • Funds are based on a first come, first serve basis and may be limited The Municipality of Lakeshore reserves the right to reject any claim if funding is no longer available • Only programs approved by the Municipality of Lakeshore are eligible for coverage

Annual maximum set amount as established by the Municipality of Lakeshore per person

To be considered for this program, you must: •

Provide proof of the current year’s Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) and Ontario Child Benefit (OCB) income statement through your Revenue Canada Notice of Assessment when applying showing eligible children and their ages

An Application must be submitted to Recreation Services with the above documents no later than 2 weeks prior to the start date of the recreation program

Families will be required to pay 10% of the registration fee per program to the organization upon registration + HST if required

A copy of the official receipt stating the 10% paid and the balance outstanding is then submitted along with the necessary forms above to Recreation Services

Approval from Recreation Services MUST be provided to any organization prior to registration

Picture/video recording is prohibited in washroom and change room areas. By participating in public events and programs held by the Municipality of Lakeshore, all participants grant the Municipality of Lakeshore the right to publish, print, broadcast and use photographs in any manner deemed appropriate. In order to publicize programs, Municipality of Lakeshore staff may use these photos/videos in Municipal publications, and are not for sale. Our facilities are open to the public and media personnel frequently visit unannounced to take photos/video. If you or your child is a regular participant in our programs and you do not want a photo published, please inform our staff during registration and/or at the time of photo/video. We will make every effort possible to ensure that your child is not photographed.

Participants will be working on skills on and off ice. Skaters will be offered a variety of activities that are directly related to the sport of figure skating. While off the ice, skaters will work on flexibility, mindfulness, team building and core training. Camp ages 7 years+ Skaters will be required to wear a helmet unless they have passed their Stage 5 badge in the CanSkate program. PA Day Programs (ages 4-13 years) Note: Children must be the age indicated on each program as of the first day of class Swimming, skating (helmets are mandatory), active play, crafts, games, fun and interactive activities. Child centered physical activities based on the in motion Health Promotion Strategy. Our Day Camp staff are trained with HIGH FIVE QUALITY AT PLAY standards including First Aid/CPR certification. Each day camper must bring their own lunch, snacks and water bottle.

NOTE: All children under the age of 6 years will be required to wear a lifejacket, remain in the Leisure Pool and stay within arms reach of a camp counsellor at all times in the Aquatic area REGARDLESS OF THEIR SWIMMING ABILITY. Camp participants age 6 years or older are eligible to attempt the Swim Alone Test; if successful, they can swim in either and Lap or Leisure Pool without a lifejacket. If participants age 6 years or older cannot pass the Swim Alone Test, they will be required to wear a lifejacket, remain in the Leisure Pool and stay within arm’s reach of a camp counsellor at all times in the Aquatic area. Private Swimming Lessons Private lessons allow instructors time to give more attention to swimming participants. They can be 1 to 1, 1 to 2 or 1 to 3 ratios. All shared lessons must be arranged by the participants themselves and swimmers should have similar abilities. Looking for a great way to refine your strokes and increase your stamina? Join the Lakeshore Sailfish Summer Swim Team! Coaches will provide instruction on all competitive stroke techniques. Participants will have fun, make friends and increase their level of fitness.
