Equestrian Center Committee Seeking New Members

by Sharon Forest, Member, Equestrian Center Committee Are you looking for a way to serve your community and make a difference? Do you love horses? Consider joining the Equestrian Center Committee. In my younger days, I learned to ride through my 4-H Club mentor. My granddaughter is nine years old and has been taking riding lessons here for the past four years. If she were allowed to sleep in the barn with the horses, she would. She is the reason I joined this delightful Photo by Sharon Forrest committee. The primary focus of the committee is to provide oversight and formulate recommendations for the efficient and effective operation of this charming and unique amenity. We are looking for alternates who will attend meetings, provide input, and vote when needed to form a quorum, Members serve a three-year term. We currently meet via Zoom/socially distanced attendance at the Community Center every second Tuesday of the month beginning at 1:30 PM. Committee membership is restricted to LOW property owners. New officers are elected yearly when the committee reconstitutes. If you are interested in serving on this committee, submit an Application for Committee Membership (https://www.lowa.org/Administration/Committees/Application_Form -- must log in to access) or pick up an application from the LOWA Receptionist at the Holcomb Building, If you have any questions, please contact Susan Flores at susanjflores51@gmail.com.
