WOW! Over 40 vehicles participated in the Car Cavalcade on Sept. 5, Labor Day weekend: antique and classic cars, newer unique cars, WWII Jeep, motorcycle trike, and campers. The cavalcade was led by Lake of the Woods Fire Department’s new fire engine with its siren alerting viewers the cavalcade was on its way. A LOW Security vehicle followed up for safety. Many people in mail stations, intersections, yards, and along Lakeview Parkway got to see these beautiful vehicles. Others got to view them close up in the clubhouse lower level parking lot following the cavalcade. The vehicles were parked at least one space apart to allow safe distancing for drivers and spectators. The weather was beautiful. What a nice event when we could not have the regular parade, Clubhouse Point festivities, and fireworks.
