Use dwellingLIVE for Your Holiday Guests

by Carolyn Brodeur, Communications Manager

As told to: Equestrian Manager Bridget Hutchens Hello all, Mr. Squishy here. I am a resident of the Equestrian Center and I have been asked to keep the community updated on our events. We have been busy, that is for sure! On Oct. 14, we wrapped up our show season with our year-end horseshow. Lake of the Woods riders and horses received many notable prizes and ribbons-I am so proud of everyone! Especially Skylar Ruggeri on Ticket to Ride, Alyssa Strain on The Scotch Scoundrel and Savannah Buttram on Le Cheval’s Sherry Gail, who all worked so hard in their lessons to prep for the show. Last weekend, Fancy and I helped throw a fun birthday party for a very special girl who turned 9. Since the weather was drizzly and overcast, we held the entire party in the covered ring, and it was a great success! I love helping with birthday parties-if you’d like to have a party at the Equestrian Center, please call Bridget or Melissa! We have an exciting event coming up on Nov. 3, The Fall Dog Festival. I will be working with my friend Fancy to give pony rides for $5 from 11 AM to 4 PM. We will be hosting dog adoption booths in an effort to support local rescues and to help dogs find homes. I am seeking new equine roommates and new tiny human friends. I love meeting new boarders and showing them the ropes, so please consider bringing your horse and using our facility for this upcoming winter! I also love meeting new children and teaching them how to steer and trot in lessons. If you would like to join me for a pony ride or lesson call 540-972-2238. If you are interested in Equestrian Center activities, and would like to become more involved, the Equestrian Center Committee is looking for new members. For more information, contact Laird Knights at 703-203-0099 or equestriancomm@lowa.org.
