The Club

The Lake of Egypt Country Club is located adjacent to the Power Plant, about a small 14 year old’s 5 wood shot from the 400 foot tall smoke stack. (Don’t ask me how I know that). If you look south as you cross the dam you will see hole #6.

We opened for business in 1969 and have grown to over 200 members. The Club has lots to offer it’s members, including a nine hole golf course with six sets of tees, a swimming pool, locker rooms, driving range, new practice green soon under construction, a restaurant, bar, pro shop, outdoor deck with big screen tv and a dining room available for special events.

The Club is growing in membership again and we hope to reach full capacity before long. Our recent membership drive, called the Buddy Golf Membership has been responsible for bringing in many new members, young and old. This limited offer provides two full memberships for the price of one. When you join at the regular price for 2021, your golf buddy becomes a full member for free!

Current rates include Senior (62 and over) and Junior (35 and under) $625. Family rate is $700. Regular membership is $750, and the Regular Family membership is $825.

These are full memberships with all the benefits. The Monday Morning Men’s League is open to all members interested in playing on Monday mornings and the Shotgun start is at 8:30. The Ladies tee off at 9:00 on Tuesdays and all ladies are welcome! The regular Men’s League is Thursday evening teeing off at 5:30, and our Friday Night Couples League begins May 14th.

Membership also includes access to the range, pool, special events, live entertainment, the restaurant and bar.

We also offer five Open competitions, the Two Man Team Championship April 24/25, The Farmers Bank/Little Tractor Two Person Mixed Couples Tournament June 6, The Fowler Heating & Cooling Individual Golf Championship July 9, 10 & 11, The Bennies Sink or Swim 4 Lady Scramble, and the Jackson & Gray/IMS 4 Person Mixed Scramble on August 15. These events are open to members and non-members alike.

The Buddy Golf Membership is designed to provide you with an immediate playing partner. But by involving yourself in all the activities offered by the Lake of Egypt Country Club you will both find yourselves with plenty of lifelong friends and golf buddies.
