CLUB UPDATE

BRIAN PIZZIMENTI

brian.pizzimenti@lakenona.com

407.209.1221

Dear Members,

CLUB EXPANSION & RENOVATION NEWS

As we have officially begun the next phase of the comprehensive expansion and renovation of our beloved Clubhouse, March marked a major milestone, as we relocated operations (with the exception of the Professional Shop) outside of the Clubhouse for the first time since the Club’s inception. Despite packing and moving 40 years of Club history, our dedicated team didn’t skip a beat, as they successfully opened a substantial outdoor event tent and mobile kitchen on the Back Lawn, which is now fully operational for club events, holiday celebrations, private parties, and select weekly activities throughout the Clubhouse renovation phase.

Important reminder - Club administrative offices (General Manager, Concierge, Accounting, Membership, Events, Marketing, and Human Resources) have relocated to the former Lake Nona Realty office, located at 9801 Lake Nona Club Drive. Please visit us at this interim office location for any administrative and Member services, including Lodge check-ins and remitting account payments throughout the Clubhouse renovation.

SPRING IN FULL BLOOM

The Club was abuzz in March with a full calendar of spring events, programming, renovation milestones, and signature Club golf tournaments. The energy carried into the new annex with recordhigh activity in the fitness center, while dining operations in the annex have been exceptionally well received, earning high praise from Members. In April & May, we welcome the return of several seasonal-inspired events and celebrations to the Club calendar. I encourage you to join us for the upcoming events and programming featured throughout this dual-month issue and as we look ahead, it is never to early to get registered for all our exciting youth summer camp activities that are just around the corner. Highlights include:

• Parent-Child Golf Championship (April 4)

• Color Run 5K (April 4)

• Easter Brunch (April 5)

• Ladies’ Member-Member (April 14 & 15)

• Titus Wine Dinner (April 25)

LEADERSHIP TEAM UPDATE

• Spring Reset Wellness Retreat (May 3)

• Cinco de Mayo Familia Fiesta (May 5)

• Mother’s Day Brunch (May 10)

• Red, White & Blue Poolside BBQ (May 25)

• Thomas Rivers Brown Wine Dinner (May 30)

Later this month, we will wish a fond farewell to our Youth Activities Manager Kristin Bailey, who has decided to embark on her next chapter, as she and her family will be relocating to Jacksonville, Fla. Her last day at Lake Nona will be May 1. As the manager of one of the Club’s most beloved amenities, Kristin applied her established youth services background and energy to host engaging youth programming, fun camp adventures, and expanding programming to the Club's growing toddler age group. We are appreciative of her dedicated service and passion for fun she shared with our Nona Crew families - she will certainly be missed. Please join me in extending well wishes to Kristin on this new opportunity for their family. We have begun the search for qualified candidates and look forward to making an announcement in the coming weeks.

Our excitement remains steadfast, as we embark on this new chapter for Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. We are grateful for your continued support as we enhance our facilities for your continued enjoyment. I look forward to seeing you, your familiy and friends enjoying Club life at Lake Nona.

Sincerely,

IMPORTANT REMINDER

As we continue to strive for excellence and enhance our facilities, we are excited to share the updated details of this multi-year, phased project which were shared at the recent Club Expansion & Renovation Presentation.

MATT COLLIS

As we move into April and May, the course continues to enjoy a full schedule of events and playing opportunities during one of the most vibrant stretches of our season. The golf course is in outstanding condition, and it has been fantastic to see such strong engagement across both recreational play and our competitive events.

The 19th annual Griffon Cup was a huge success, having received rave reviews with 160 players enjoying four days of great golf, expertly executed by the golf professional team of Chuck Higby, Sandra Changkija Chris Mandia, Jake Scheidt, Kendra Swanson, and Ana Lowery who worked diligently for months prior, along with Nick Bessire and the outside operations team who were efficient in managing the expanded field. Having just relocated to all-new surroundings, the F&B team were fantastic and truly showcased their culinary talents, while our agronomy team led by Nick Dolimpio and Taylor Allbut presented the course in Major condition. A big thank you to committee members Darren Beddell, David Fries, and Jon Mills for their ongoing planning efforts for our biggest tournament of the year. Lastly, congratulations to our winners - Karl Gudmundsson and Jeff Gray - who played excellent golf in the playoff shootout with a birdie on 17 and a par on 18 to secure this year’s championship!

With The Masters upon us, there is a real sense of excitement around the Club. We are especially proud to have two Club Members, Tom McKibbin and Tyrrell Hatton, competing and we wish them the very best at this storied Major Championship. As we enjoy Masters week, it is a timely reminder of the standards and traditions that make our game so special. We kindly ask all Members to continue focusing on the small details—repairing pitch marks, collecting tee pegs, and respecting cart traffic guidelines. These simple habits go a long way in maintaining the exceptional conditions we all value. Thank you, as always, for your continued support of the golf program. We look forward to seeing you at the Club!

COURSE NEWS

NICHOLAS DOLIMPIO

ndolimpio@lakenona.com

407.209.1281

The golf course maintenance team has powered through a challenging winter and we are all excited to welcome the return of warmer temperatures. Spring is one of our favorite times of year on the golf course, as it brings firmer, faster playing conditions and marks the start of our overseed transition.

OVERSEED TRANSITION

This year’s transition will be a little more unique than usual. With the extreme cold we experienced this winter, the Bermuda grass beneath the overseed went more dormant than we typically see, similar to how many tropical plants around the area were affected. The good news is that we have already begun helping the Bermuda recover, so it can fill back in strong as the overseed fades out. You’ll notice that our greens, tees, approaches, and fairways are already in great shape. These areas tend to recover faster since the Bermuda isn’t as heavily covered. In the rough, however, we have taken a slightly different approach this year, by lowering mowing heights earlier than usual. This allows more sunlight and warmth to reach the Bermuda, helping it bounce back more efficiently. Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue making small adjustments to support that recovery.

AERIFICATION CLOSURE: MAY 26 - JUNE 3

Looking ahead, our annual first summer aerification will begin after Memorial Day with the golf course scheduled to reopen on Thursday, June 4. During that closure, the Driving Range will remain open the majority of the time with modified hours (please see schedule highlighted below).

One change we are making this year, is how we handle the overseed in the rough leading into aerification. Instead of removing it early, we plan to carry it a bit longer and transition it out during aerification week. This adjustment should help us maintain better playing conditions right up until closure. As always, our goal is to keep improving wherever we can, even if it’s just by a small margin, and we are confident these adjustments will continue to enhance course conditions.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

We appreciate your continued efforts in being good stewards of the course by:

• Repairing your ball mark plus one more on each green.

• Filling your divots in the fairways.

• Following all cart entry and exit posts.
