Dear Members,
October remained steadfast as one of our busiest months of the year with vibrant events and activities that brought families and friends together to celebrate fall. A few highlights included several seasonal kick-offs (LNLA's Welcome Reception and The B-52: Men's Fall Member-Guest), a decadent wine dinner, and a thrilling series of Halloween-inspired events (The Black Pearl Bash; a Halloween Racquet Round Robin; The Great Pumpkin Family Night; and Burgers, Boos & Pet Costume Contest), with the grand spectacular, The Black Pearl Bash, transforming the Clubhouse into a pirate's paradise, whisking everyone away on an memorable evening inspired by Captain Jack Sparrow’s adventures.
Nona Crew also embraced the spirit of fall with a series of delightful, seasonally inspired events that brought joy, discovery, and creativity to all. In addition to their monthly themed Fun Friday and Parent's Night Out events, the Crew ventured out for a field trip to Mick Farms and a fun fishing clinic on the shores of Lake Nona, creating treasured memories in the great outdoors!
November and December welcome the return of several signature events, from our annual Autumn Classic flagship golf tournament and signature gala, to traditional holiday celebrations, festive family fun, and themed fitness challenges, along with the addition of several new clubs and programming, such as: Garden Club, Teen Book Club, Preschool Martial Arts, Knights on Court Family Tennis Day, and a new series of creative classes! Be sure to join us at our exciting fall and holiday happenings!
Renovations are progressing nicely and we are thrilled to report that the annex is now in the final stages of completion! While we are diligently working to finalize the exact opening timeline for this new facility, we promise to keep you informed. Once the opening of the annex is determined, we look forward to sharing news on the upcoming renovations happening at the Clubhouse, pool, and Bath & Racquet facilities. Stay tuned for all the exciting updates!
Sincerely,
Brian Pizzimenti, CCM General Manager

November has arrived and the transition to our beautiful winter season brings a packed schedule of events and an emphasis on course preservation. We are excited for a busy month of golf, including our Ladies Opening Day (November 5) and the prestigious 39th Annual Autumn Classic (November 21 & 22).
Coach Lucas Harz has put together a robust schedule of clinics and programming perfect for sharpening your game for tournament season or learning the fundamentals. Offerings include: group clinics focused on short game, dedicated Men’s and Ladies’ sessions, and our popular Beginner Golf Bootcamps. Please see the complete details on page 28.
Cart Sharing Policy: Critical for Course Health - As we reopen up our freshly overseeded golf course, we must protect the sensitive new turf. We are asking all players using a Club fleet cart to pair up to significantly reduce cart traffic on the course. We recognize we have strayed from this practice, but strict adherence is critical to ensure a pristine course as we head into the winter season.
Guest Play: Practice Area Exclusivity - With the holiday season approaching, many Members will host family and guests. Only guests who have a confirmed tee time may use the practice areas. The range is a priority for our Members and we must ensure its exclusivity for members and their playing guests only.
Tee Box Cleanup Initiative - We have added new tee crates on all par 3 tees stocked with short wood tees. In an effort to help us eliminate litter, please ensure NO TEES are left on tee boxes this winter. We must all work together to keep the course clean and tidy.
The race for 2026 playing status is on, as Joe Pagdin won Stage 1 of DP World Tour qualifying and Canon Claycomb also secured his spot at Stage 2 in Spain where they will both be competing to move on to secure playing rights on the DP World Tour in 2026. Good luck to both!

PROPER SETUP FOR CONSISTENT CONTACT
BY LUCAS HARZ
Many amateurs struggle with the classic "chunking" or "blading" chip shots over the green. This occurs when the low point of the chipping motion is too far behind the golf ball.
Try setting up with 80% of the pressure on your front foot and maintain this pressure throughout the chipping motion. You can gauge this by standing straight with your arms by your side. From this position, try sliding your lead hand down to the side of your lead knee. This will help move the low point of the chipping motion closer to the golf ball and will help you sweep the intended spot on the grass more consistently. I hope this helps you with your short game!
For more tips and improvements for your game, please contact: LUCAS.HARZ@LAKENONA.COM • 407.209.1251

The smell of freshly cut ryegrass is in the air, a sure sign that summer is behind us and our golf tournament season is upon us. We are pleased to share that our overseed week at the end of October was a great success. Thank you to everyone who stayed off the course during this critical time, as your cooperation plays a huge part in helping the young ryegrass establish a strong foundation for the season ahead.
As we protect this investment, the course will remain "cart path only" upon reopening and will continue that way through the first week of November, with carts allowed off the path beginning Saturday, November 8. Over the past few years, even with ropes managing cart traffic, we have had to reseed the drive-on and drive-off areas due to excessive wear. By keeping the course cart path only through establishment, we hope to drastically reduce the need for reseeding. If we don’t see improvement, we will adjust our strategy next year.
Please continue to follow the brown entry and exit posts when navigating the golf course. We often see golfers who, after hitting a shot past the exit post, drive straight off the hole rather than returning to the designated exit. If your ball is past the exit post, but before the approach, please continue to it, play your shot, and then return to exit through the marked area. This helps us manage traffic evenly and protect turf health across the rough.
Our team spends countless hours adjusting ropes and posts to distribute traffic and prevent damage. When golfers disregard these guides, it undermines those efforts and the many Members who take pride in following these standards.
Following overseed, the course will play softer and wetter than usual. Please remember to:
• Repair your ball marks on the greens.
• Carry a divot bottle from your cart to your ball while we remain Cart Path Only to fill your divots on the fairways.
• Rake bunkers thoroughly — imagine your next shot landing exactly where you just raked. If you wouldn’t be happy with that lie, take a moment to smooth it again.
Thank you all for helping us protect the course during this important time of year. With everyone’s attention and care, we’ll continue to showcase Lake Nona at its best this season.
