7.2. Implementation and Review

The implementation of the Lake Macquarie Public Amenities Strategy will be undertaken on a priority basis over a 15-year timeframe within available resource allocations. A review of implementation will be undertaken annually with progress measured against completion of the the actions and addressing the issues identified in each of the catchments..

The Prioritisation Framework will help inform capital works programs and contributions planning. Financial resourcing will be a critical factor in implementation, and will guide how quickly some actions are completed and the ability to investigate and address issues. The resourcing strategy includes, but is not limited to, general revenue, developer contributions and external grants. Ongoing partnerships and collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders will be essential to ensuring implementation of the Strategy.
