LAKE LIFE SHEBOYGAN

Hop into the season of fresh beginnings and warming waves 2025 | SPRING
HELLO SPRING!

WELCOME TO SPRING IN SHEBOYGAN
Winter can feel long here in Wisconsin, and like so many others, we’re excited for spring. Watching the ice melt away and return to Lake Michigan while the trees begin to bud and the song birds return to sing, spring embraces Sheboygan like a warm hug. We’re grateful to have a front row seat to the changing season here along the shores of the Great Lake.
At Blue Harbor Resort, spring is a busy time of year with the rotation of spring holidays and breaks. In this issue of Lake Life Sheboygan, we’re sharing with you our spring plans, from all the ways to enjoy Breaker Bay Waterpark, to Easter Brunch in our conference center

If you’re a fan of a classic Wisconsin Fish Fry and an old fashioned, you’re in luck! Our Good Old Fashioned Friday Fish Fry is returning during Lent this year, and that’s not all We have special events lined up from St Patty’s Day and Spring Break week in March, to Easter events and live music happening in April, and we’re already planning something special for moms in May.
It’s a packed spring season here at Blue Harbor Resort, we can’t wait to share it all with our readers and guests.
In the novel, Anne of Green Gables, the main character offers such wisdom about the changing seasons when she says, "Nothing ever seems impossible in spring, you know." This is especially true for us here at Blue Harbor Resort as we ’ ve been busy all winter preparing for your next visit. From a beautiful renovation of our restaurants and boutique, to Reflections Spa introducing a new menu of therapeutic services, then extended outdoor pool hours and finally to a completely reimagined Be-A-Kid program. Come experience your own renewal along with ours and you’ll agree that it’s always better at the Blue!
-Delaine Reichert, General Manager Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center
BEHIND THE SCENES
Our food and beverage team, as well as our maintenance team, have been quite busy for the last several months working on the spaces in which our guests dine, as well as the menus they select from.
Shoreline Café has merged with our Boutique, The Beacon Restaurant has received a makeover, and On The Rocks has some exciting new menus We can’t wait for you to check it all out!

“By the time spring break rolls around in the Midwest, we ’ re all itching for an escape ”

Spring is finally here, and the relief doesn’t just have to do with the warming temperatures. Spring Break is just around the corner, and the kids are growing restless You desperately need a getaway, some excitement for the kids, and a break from the cold Midwest temperatures. What if there was a waterside escape that could keep the kids busy with play, help you to relax, and skips the airfare? Not to mention a place with balmy temperatures- that would help too After all, by the time spring break rolls around in the Midwest, we’re all itching for an escape.
Whether you’re planning a family vacation centered around splashing about Breaker Bay Waterpark or looking to build in some much needed relaxation, you’ll find a bit of both inside of Breaker Bay. Spring break is fun but fleeting, so leave the fret to us so you can enjoy the week away!
Start your spring break off with a splash!
WATERSLIDES, LAZY RIVERS, & HOT TUBS
Who said waterparks are only fun for kids? Regardless of if you’re making memories with your family, racing each other down waterslides and sharing a pizza next to the lazy river, or kicking up your feet sipping a drink while taking intermittent dips in the hot tub with your friends or partner, the waterpark is a balmy escape from reality
To start your waterpark day off with a splash, you and your family won’t want to skip racing each other down the yellow and orange towering waterslides Choose between a single innertube or a double, and start your ascent to the top of Breaker Bay. When it’s your turn, you climb into the tube, get the go ahead, and speed off down the slides- twisting and turning, speeding fast down the slippery slope, before entering the tunnel and zipping out into the suddenly calming lazy river Trust us when we say these slides will leave even the most mature of participants saying “again, again!”.

The lazy river is a soothing loop of ebbs and flows, as well as spots of excitement if you steer towards them. From dumping buckets and spraying fountains, to a waterfall, it’s easy to guide yourself through the rivers course for two very different experiences One of relaxation or one of excitement (and maybe even a little bit of competition to see who keep their head the most dry).
Although the dueling slides are the largest waterslide attraction in Breaker Bay, it’s not the only set of slides two can race down. The blue and green slides connected to the Breaker Bay Pier Activity Tower are the perfect waterslide for shorter guests, and don’t require innertubes to ride. And for those with toddlers, there’s waterslide fun for them too on the toddler tides activity tower
You can’t forget about the adults only hot tub! Relax in the soothing and toasty warm Turtle Tub while the kids race each other down slides and splash around the activity towers Detach yourself from reality and submerge into total calamity, perhaps even with a drink from the Rocky Bottom Snack Bar in hand. Nothing beats this feeling on spring break.
Have any spring chickens in the family? Well Breaker Bay isn’t just your harbor for spring break, but you can now celebrate your child’s birthday in the waterpark too! Gain waterpark passes for all party attendees and even gain the option to add pizza and cake to the party. Call our reservations team at +1-866-701-2583 for more information.
The fun doesn’t end in the waterparkSouth Pier Fun Zone Arcade awaits when you make your way towards the towel station. Inside, you’ll find race car simulations, claw machines, arcade game favorites, and prizes waiting to be claimed if you can win enough tickets! The arcade is the perfect place to get out of the heat if you’re in need or a break, or simply need encouragement to get the kids out of water and starting to dry off.
Make your way up to the bungalow fr the waterpark and discover the dark mysteries of Lost Temples Mini Golf! Navigate the glow-in-the-dark mini course through two nine-hole courses leading you closer to the mysterious surprises that patiently sit to be discovered.
All of this sounds fun packed- but wh can you find more relaxation? The kid obsessed with spending as much tim possible in the waterpark, and you do want to drag them away. But some privacy to read your book or take a short snooze in the warm temperatures sounds divine. The perfect solution is an indoor cabana, complete with a fan, TV, and some refreshing drinks to keep you hydrated. Let the kids play while you relax in a space of your own.

Make this spring break easy on yourself by taking a trip to where all the activities are planned out for you and are ready to be enjoyed.

Time for a
Refresh

Prep your skin this spring so it’s summer-ready!
Cozy season is coming to an end; the harsh winter winds that whip at our skin have left us in need of some special care to prepare for the warmer months ahead. In the springtime, we prepare for a fresh start From spring cleaning to spending more time outdoors connecting with nature, we’re eager for rejuvenation and a reset This spring, treat your skin to a refresh of it’s own at Reflections Wellness Spa. Whether you’re searching for a relaxing treatment, or some self care to bring home with you, your wellness spring cleaning journey begins at Reflections.
Energy Renewal
After a long winter, spring reawakens our energy levels and plants excitement of the longer days to come in our core However, as eager as we are for the season, if our bodies and minds have felt off-balance, it’s hard to get our newfound energy to last All you need is a kickstart as your launching point to get you back on track to regaining that balance after the darker and colder months The Far Infrared PEMF Crystal Wellness Mat might just be that first step By enhancing relaxation, and promoting emotional release, this touchless renewal therapy aids in clearing tension, stress, and negative emotion so that you can focus on energy enhancers instead of energy diminishers.
Indulgent Facials
Although we love watching the snow fall along the lake during the winter, we don’t like snowflakes pelting our face and Jack Frost nipping at our nose After-wintercare is a necessity in the Midwest. Spring is the season of opportunity, giving our skin the time to recover from winter and prepped for summer sun The FarmHouse Fresh custom facial provides a holistic and tailored healing experience. Curated for all skin types, and taking into consideration your skin’s natural state (dry, oily, etc.) we promise you’ll walk away from this treatment feeling refreshed, buoyant, and glowing
Nourished Skin
Your face isn’t the only skin that requires some extra soothing care after surviving the winter Our hands take much of the brunt during winter between the cold temperatures and washing our hands to stay safe from the flu Using organic sunflower seed, safflower seed oil, blue agave, almond oil, and vitamin E, the FarmHouse Fresh Agave Nourishing Hand Cocoon revitalizes even the driest of skin The service starts by massaging the cream into your hands and forearms. Then, cocoon your hands inside of a cozy warming mitt with the silky soft balm and prepare for your hands to emerge like a butterfly, transformed and hydrated. This treatment is our go-to for springtime relief.

1) Use Environmentally Safe Sunscreen
Although it’s not quite yet beach season in Wisconsin, it’s the perfect time to spread awareness about eco-friendly sunscreens so that you know what get in time for the summer season. Being located on one of the Great Lakes, preserving the lake, it’s beaches, the wildlife, and the water itself is one of our top priorities. It’s also very important to protect your skin from the sun’s rays, but did you know that not all sunscreens are created equal in terms of protecting both us and the planet? There are two types of sunscreen: ones that have a mineral-based barrier and ones that have a chemical-based barrier. Unsurprisingly, the chemical-based lotions are harmful to bodies of water and the biodiversity that call the water and beaches their home. Protect your skin and the planet by using zinc oxide or titanium dioxide based sunscreens. Our lakes, rivers, and oceans all deserve this protection.
2) Look Out for Litter
Despite our best efforts to keep our beautiful lakeside property clean, living along the shores of Lake Michigan can get windy. It’s easy for waste to escape from our beach blankets or litter from other parts of the city to get blown our way Perhaps the simplest eco-friendly tip is to pick up trash when you see it, especially on the beaches and by the water.
3) Protected Areas and Nature Parks
Here in Sheboygan, we are very lucky to have several stunning nature parks These parks are a place of refuge for visitors to connect with nature, for the local people who work for the park as well as those who enjoy it, and for the land and wildlife it protects. In turn, it is our duty to protect these areas as well. Many of our local parks wind through the woods, alongside rivers, and in sand dunes. Because of this, one of the most important ways to protect the parks you adventure through is to stick to the trails. This is not only for your own safety, but necessary for the ecosystem to thrive. The shoes you wear can introduce harmful bacteria, invasive species, and can damage life that you might not notice trying to grow So when in doubt, always stick to the trails!
By integrating some of these mindful practices into your vacation, you’re helping locals continue to thrive, and as a direct result, locals are then able to upkeep these fantastic locations so that you can return to visit them over the years Thank you for protecting our lakes!
