'Tis the Season!

Hello Lake Jackson, 2020 has been a challenging year for our community. We have faced global, national and local issues that are unprecedented.

I am so proud of this community and all that it has done to come together. Your resiliency makes me proud to be your mayor.

I wish we could enter the holidays in person and enjoy all the festivities that make us merry yet out of an abundance of caution we can't.

But that does not mean that we won't ring in the holidays!

We present to you Light Up Lake Jackson! We will have Santa's Mailbox, selfie stations and even a house decorating contest. Learn more about all the activities we have planned in this interactive online magazine.

I hope you will participate as it makes sense for you and Welcome Home for the Holidays!

Letters to Santa @ The Santa & Elf Pod We have our first ever Lake Jackson Santa Mailbox and it’s already getting put to good use!

Bring your letters to Santa and take a selfie in our Santa and Elf Pod at City Hall!

Letters dropped off by December 20 will receive a letter back from Santa so make sure to include your return address!

Visit the Mistletoe and Christmas Tree Gazebo at Parking Way.

Then head over to the 9-foot Tall Christmas Ornament at This Way and That Way. During the holiday season permanent selfie stick posts will be available at both locations.

Just place your phone on them to take timed photos like the one shown here with Mayor Roznovsky and First Lady Patti!

Kids Coloring Competition December 1-13

Do you know a Lake Jackson kiddo who likes to color? If so, follow the directions below to enter them for a chance to win the Light Up Lake Jackson Color The Lights contest!

Make sure to add contact information (phone number or email) on the back of the coloring sheet in case you win!

1. Select one of the two coloring sheets in your child’s age range 2. Print the sheet HERE or pick up a copy at City Hall, the Recreation Center or the Library 3. By December 9, drop off your child’s completed coloring sheet at City Hall at the drop box available 24/7 in the drive-thru.

4. From December 10-14, like and share your child’s coloring sheet in the contest photo album on the City's Facebook page 5. The coloring sheet with the most likes, comments, and shares (overall interaction count) by December 14 wins the competition 6. On December 15, the winners will be announced on Facebook!

It is open to all ages.

Bring your drawing to City Hall by December 16 for a chance to win!

Size and materials used for drawing are not restricted. Get as creative as you want!

If you would like to have your drawing available to pick-up after the contest is over, just indicate so on the back with your contact info and we will let you know when it is ready.
