Guide to Warrior Fund Giving 2025

Lakehill Preparatory School’s First-Annual

Warrior Week of Giving November 17-21

The Warrior Fund The Warrior Fund is Lakehill’s unrestricted annual fund which contributes up to 5% of our operating budget each year. Like all independent schools, we strive to keep tuition as low as possible - but tuition alone doesn’t cover the full cost of a Lakehill education. Every dollar raised for the Warrior Fund goes directly back into our school, bridging the gap between tuition revenue and the true cost of every student’s Lakehill experience. Each year, families, alumni, and friends come together to make a difference. Your support enhances academics, the arts, and athletics; strengthens campus safety; attracts and retains outstanding faculty; and fuels new opportunities for teaching and learning.

United by Purpose. Powered by Participation. Every gift - no matter the size - makes a difference at Lakehill. Your support of the Warrior Fund sustains the exceptional programs that set Lakehill apart and empowers our faculty to help students learn with curiosity, lead with confidence, and serve with compassion. Even more than that, strong family participation amplifies our impact, signaling to foundations and corporations that Lakehill families are invested in the success of our school.

100% of Board Members and full-time Lakehill faculty and staff have made their Warrior Fund gifts this year. Will you join them?

“As a new family, there are not enough words to describe how blown away we are at the warmth and intentionality of Lakehill! Supporting the Warrior Fund was an easy ‘yes’ for our family - it’s our privilege to cheer on this school as it cheers on our kids!” - Angela and Drew Crawford, parents of Charles, 1st

Warrior Fund Warrior Fund Impact: Impact: attracting exceptional faculty

support outside of the classroom

investing in our educators

At Lakehill, exceptional teachers inspire students to learn with curiosity and confidence. Gifts to the Warrior Fund help us attract and support exceptional educators like Dr. Jordan Meyer, Lakehill’s new Upper School Physics teacher and robotics coach, who brings expertise and enthusiasm to every class he teaches.

Lakehill cares for the whole student. This winter, the Warrior Fund helps us welcome Susan McKelvy as our new School Counselor. A Lakewood resident with experience in public school and private practice settings, Mrs. McKelvy will bring deep experience and a strong community connection to help our students thrive.

The Warrior Fund helps Lakehill invest in the educators who make our mission come to life by supporting professional development opportunities. From on-campus training to national conferences, these experiences strengthen teaching and directly impact our students.

bringing our brand to life

The Warrior Fund helps fuel academic innovation at Lakehill. This year, Dr. Chalfin worked with faculty and students to reimagine Upper School electives. With new courses like mock trial, journalism, and debate, all electives are designed to extend core learning, showcase student work, and enhance college readiness.

Lakehill equips its facilities with technology and resources that enhance learning and student experiences. Last year, the Warrior Fund helped us make upgrades to the auditorium stound system, supporting students in our stellar performing arts program as well as academic presentations from students across all divisions.

This year, Warrior Fund support helped us refresh campus signage to reflect our school’s spirit and create a welcoming environment for students, families, and visitors. Upgraded signage showcases our brand to the Dallas community and helps prospective families and neighbors connect with the Lakehill experience.
