A Warm Welcome Awaits...
In the 17th century, Keswick was the crossroads for many of the horse and carriage routes which traversed the Lake District. The Kings Arms, a true coaching inn of that period, offers the traveller of today the same unrivalled hospitality and friendly service in keeping with its heritage.
The best of the old coaching inn traditions – appealing rooms, superb hospitality, fine fayre and lively entertainment - have been maintained and preserved. So be our guest and come and experience the legacies in the modern day comfort of a true coaching inn.

Serving refreshing Real Ale is a great Lake District tradition which the Kings Arms is proud to continue. We serve a selection of seasonal and guest ales provided by a Cumbrian brewery almost as old as the coaching inn itself! Steeped in tradition, these ales are still brewed from pure Lakeland water adding only the finest ingredients.

Relax and enjoy a wholesome, hearty meal in the comfortable surroundings of the recently refurbished restaurant. Our local head chef has a passion for locally sourced ingredients and puts a delicious modern twist on classic dishes that reflect the rustic sophistication of its surroundings.
The cosy bar and lounge are full of character, there’s a warm glow from the fire and a convivial atmosphere that encourages the making of new friends. Popular with locals and guests alike, home-cooked meals are served throughout the day into the evening and a great choice of seasonal local ales are available at the bar, together with a huge range of whiskies.
LB’s Pizza House, down the Kings Arms Courtyard, lets you watch the chefs in the open plan kitchen as they prepare freshly made, stone-baked pizzas and hearty pastas. All pizzas are made from fresh dough with a wide variety of toppings, while the range of pasta dishes and tempting desserts make LB’s a popular eating venue.

The 13 charming en-suite bedrooms, including the beautiful 4 poster room, are furnished to a high standard and all have hospitality trays and flat screen TVs.
Guests also have free use of a private leisure club a short drive from the hotel with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, gym and beauty salon (Elemis treatments must be booked seperately).
