LOVE ‘INN’ THE LAKES Nestled on the shores of Lake Ullswater, Inn on the Lake enjoys one of the most spectacular settings in the Lake District. Step inside our opulent hotel and make your way out onto the terrace where the hotels true beauty unfolds, take a moment and allow your imagination to run wild, this is where your story begins.

Combining our unrivalled views with beautifully manicured gardens, sweeping lawns and an interior that radiates understated elegance – you’re guaranteed to fall in love with the Inn on the Lake.

To ensure that our hotel continues to delight our guests, we have exciting plans underway. In January 2020 the hotel will receive a complete ground floor refurbishment, providing a stylish new look to the bar, Lake View restaurant, lounges, Orangery, lobby and reception. We would be thrilled to show you round the new look hotel when the works are complete in February 2020.

LAKESIDE GAZEBO Situated in our magnificent grounds overlooking Lake Ullswater, seating available for up to 110 guests.

GLENRIDDING SUITE Providing a delightful view to the lake and landscaped gardens, with doors that lead onto the terrace, for up to 80 guests.

ULLSWATER LOUNGE With two large bay windows overlooking the gardens to the lakeshore, ideal for larger parties, with seating for 110 guests.

THE LAKE VIEW RESTAURANT Offering dramatic views of Lake Ullswater and the surrounding mountains, this bright and spacious room accommodates up to 110 guests.

GLENRIDDING SUITE Perfect for smaller functions this elegant suite has wonderful views and offers an intimate atmosphere. Catering for up to 50 guests.

CANDLEROOM With a striking glass front, exposed oak beams, Cumbrian slate feature wall and dramatic church candle lights hanging from the rafters – the Candleroom has its own bar and is ideal for up to 60 guests.

With creative and exciting set menus serving the freshest local ingredients, you can guarantee that your guests will enjoy a wonderful dining experience on your special day.

We provide a fabulous backdrop for your drinks and canapĂŠs reception, from sparkling cocktails to celebratory toasts, our Sommelier and Mixologist can help you pick the perfect wine and drinks for your wedding day.

We offer a range of packages to meet your personal budget and tastes, or you can compose your own bespoke package from our extensive collection of drinks. Depending on the weather, your drinks reception can be held on our lakeside terrace or in the beautiful lake view lounge.

AN EVENING TO REMEMBER CANDLEROOM This beautiful lofty and bright oak beamed room is ideal for evening celebrations. The beams are adorned with hanging church candles, it won’t take much imagination to make this space the perfect place for your wedding. The Candleroom is available for up to 70 guests.

RAMBLERS BAR & CANDLEROOM For larger weddings up to 150 guests, we can also include Ramblers Bar and Snug which is adjacent to the Candleroom. With its Lakeland stone walls, wooden floor and oak beams; Ramblers is a perfect venue for a disco or live music.

GLENRIDDING SUITE This venue is perfect for smaller functions, offering an intimate atmosphere for a relaxed evening.

STUNNING WHATEVER THE SEASON Inn on the Lake is a unique and captivating destination every day of the year. Creating the most amazing and romantic backdrop for your wedding photography, the picturesque scenery is a strikingly beautiful place for your guests to visit. Whatever the weather, a wedding at the Inn on the Lake will always be an enchanting experience.

During Spring and Summer, the hotel comes alive with an array of flowers in the beautiful manicured gardens. Imagine saying your vows under our romantic Victorian gazebo or enjoying a charming Lake cruise with your guests. Embrace a glorious Cumbrian Autumn as the leaves turn the landscape into a majestic multitude of colour or gaze upon the mountain peaks as they are blanketed with snow during the Winter. Imagine greeting your guests with a glass of hot mulled wine in front of our roaring fires.

At Christmas time the Inn on the Lake can be described as an elegant fairy tale. From November to early January, the hotel and grounds are dazzlingly adorned with thousands of fairy lights and festive decorations.

ROOMS WITH A VIEW Staying at the Inn on the Lake is a fabulous experience for the brides, grooms and guests. With 48 stylish and thoughtfully designed bedrooms, you can enjoy the comfort of our deluxe Sealy beds and elegant furnishings. Guests can choose from our standard or fell view bedrooms or treat themselves to a lake view room overlooking Ullswater.

Perfect for wedding couples and the bridal party, we also offer four Luxury Collection Feature Bedrooms which are the most luxurious hotel rooms in Ullswater. These rooms are beautifully decorated and large enough for getting ready on the big day or relaxing at the end of it. The hotel has a nine-hole pitch and putt golf course within the grounds.

As part of the wedding package, your guests will be offered a discounted rate to stay at the hotel.

Remember, if you have over 50 paying adults at the wedding breakfast then you can enjoy a complimentary stay in a Luxury Collection, Lake View Feature room on your wedding night.

WAYS TO BUILD YOUR DAY We offer two packages Bespoke or All-Inclusive.

BESPOKE ‘ YOUR WEDDING, YOUR WAY’ Our bespoke package allows you to add your own personality and flare to your special day. Choose from one of our locally sourced wedding menu options, add a drinks package that suits your day and then extend the party into the evening with an Ullswater Feast or Hog Roast. Then simply add on the room hire for the time of year that you are planning to get married.

The bespoke package is tailored to suit your budget and taste, so you can add on those little extra touches, such as canapés, snacks and menus, helping create a day that will be everything you imaged and more.

A L L- I N C L U S I V E Our all-inclusive wedding package set price is based on 50 adults. Everything you need for your special day is included - from the ceremony, 4 course wedding breakfast, to the evening reception with entertainment! We also have a selection of added extras to help make your day as perfect as possible.

S P R I N G / S U M M E R A L L- I N C L U S I V E Monday to Thursday, April until September For those warm sultry spring and summer days, we have the package for you.

A U T U M N / W I N T E R A L L- I N C L U S I V E Sunday to Friday, October until March Fabulous autumn and winter colours make for excellent backdrops to get the wedding pictures you’ve always dreamt of.

F E S T I V E A L L- I N C L U S I V E Sunday to Friday, Mid November until Early January (excluding 24th December - 1st January) Enjoy the festive ambiance created by the beautiful decorations and thousands of twinkling lights that adorn the Christmas trees inside and out to create a magical winter wedding.

THE NEXT STEP Book your preferred date with and we will happily hold your chosen date provisionally for 14 days.

Book the registrar on 0300 303 2472 or contact your chosen church. Please remember to notify the hotel of your proposed time for your ceremony.

To confirm your wedding, we will require a ÂŁ1000.00 non-refundable deposit. Upon paying the deposit we will issue you with a contract that will require your signature before being returned to the hotel, along with a wedding schedule and accommodation vouchers for your guests.

Meet us for your final appointment approximately 8 weeks before your wedding date to finalise arrangements.

An invoice and final details will then be sent to you for payment 4 weeks before your wedding date.

HELPFUL HINTS & TIPS PROVISIONAL BOOKING We will be happy to hold your preferred date provisionally for 14 days.

Book your ceremony - contact Cumbria Registrars - 0300 303 2472 DEPOSIT & CONFIRMATION Your booking is confirmed upon receipt by us of a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of £1000, accompanied by a signed copy of the contract, along with details of the estimated numbers for the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening celebration.

MINIMUM SPEND During 2021 the minimum spends are: Wedding breakfast spend £42.50 per person • Drinks package spend £21.95 per person • Evening Buffet spend £20.00 per person • Candleroom, minimum number for evening buffet is 30 guests. If however you select a midweek date and don’t require an evening reception please contact the hotel directly for a room hire quotation.

TIMING FOR YOUR DAY Ceremonies must be booked by you directly with Cumbria Registrars. Our recommended ceremony times are between 12.00-1.30pm (subject to availability of the Registrar). Any other ceremony times may affect timings for the remainder of the day. Please check with the hotel before confirming times outside of the suggested above timings. If your wedding breakfast is in the Lake View restaurant then the latest time to sit down for your wedding breakfast would be 3.30pm.

CEREMONY MUSIC We have the facilities to play your ceremony music either indoors or outdoors through a PA speaker. If you would prefer to book live music for your ceremony, please contact us to discuss this further. Four songs are ideal; one song for entrance, two for signing the registrar and one for the exit.

EVENING ENTERTAINMENT There are many things to consider when looking at booking a band or DJ, so please discuss this with us so we can go through all of the requirements with you. Due to our location certain bands may not be permitted to perform.

CONFETTI, LANTERNS & FIREWORKS Confetti must be bio-degradable. Chinese lanterns are not permitted due to the harm they can cause to the local environment. Firework displays are not permitted, unless prior written consent has been granted and they are low noise.

ALCOHOL If alcoholic favours are being provided by you, a corkage charge of £3.50 per 50ml bottle would be added to the main bill. The hotel does not allow any other alcohol to be brought into the hotel.

ACCOMMODATION The wedding couple will receive a complimentary Lake View Luxury Collection room upon confirmation providing there are a minimum of 50 adults at your wedding breakfast.

We offer special wedding rates for your guests; these rates are subject to the hotel’s availability.
