Sustainable Tourism Lakani is strongly dedicated to the principles of responsible tourism. We endeavor to protect the environment, economy, and the cultures of the destinations that we include in our programs. With that effort in mind, we choose destinations that support sustainable tourism. For instance, New Zealand has created a board that is dedicated to promoting sustainability in all the tourism businesses in the country and are committed to seeing all of them complying by 2025. Watch for evidence of that endeavor in the areas you visit. Bhutan has earned a reputation as an exclusive and distinctive destination while ensuring long-term sustainability. This is due to the control of tourism in terms of types of trips and quantity of visitors right from the start. Bhutan’s leaders were keenly aware that an unrestricted flow of tourists could negatively impact the pristine environment and unique culture, so limits have been set, making this truly a special destination.

When visiting Israel, it is clear that there is a need for water conservation and guests are encouraged to adhere to the guidelines set by the establishments in which we stay. While traveling throughout the country we encounter diverse traditions and we urge travelers to respect all residents by being sensitive to all cultural traditions. Colombia is rich in biodiversity, with over 1500 kinds of orchids that can’t be found anywhere else in the world, prompting many travelers to visit the country. The government is determined to see that the increase in tourism is sustainable and community based. Therefore, they are certifying cities and towns that comply with sustainable tourism regulations to provide wealth, productivity, and opportunities for all, while protecting the environment and culture. You may notice that Bogota is becoming greener, with a bicycle path throughout the city, and by closing roads to cars on Sundays.
