Dear Friends, During my 30 plus years in travel, some of my favorite moments involved interaction with people and seemingly making a difference in their lives. A visit with a Masai Tribe, singing with residents of a remote Amazon village, and an encounter with children practicing their English at the Topkapi Palace, brought smiles and total delight to the faces of those we met - these magical moments in travel leave an indelible impression and hope for the future. In 2014, we celebrate a Tapestry of Cultures in the interaction of civilizations through the ages and in the world of today. Travel is the key to cultural understanding of contrasting traditions and discovery of the common thread which binds us together. Throughout this brochure you will find journeys with opportunities to become immersed in local culture that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime. Explore extraordinary places and be inspired and enriched on a travel experience like no other – in Lakani Style! Please join us. Best traveling wishes, Heidi Lakani
