Bespoke jewellery is individual, personal to you, and exudes a unique character. Our team of designers and goldsmiths are here to help you to create a one-off piece that’s yours and yours alone. The team can help you to create an exquisite engagement ring filled with personal touches – the ultimate romantic gesture. Alternatively, they can remodel heirloom jewellery, embracing the emotional significance of a piece with a transformed look.
The journey of bespoke design is a magical one and can involve the following: Stage One The Bespoke Design process always starts with an initial discussion with one of our designers about what you are looking to create. Once we have a clear idea of requirements, your designer will build on the details and sketch a variety of designs to give you several different options. Some models will be created in 3D form using CAD (Computer-Aided Design). Stage Two Once you have selected the final design, your designer will source gemstones for you to choose from and finalise the details. Each stone is hand-picked to complement your piece perfectly. Examining each stone in detail ensures only the best are selected for your final piece of jewellery. At this stage, we create mounts or 3D printed wax models of the design. Stage Three All the carefully selected pieces arrive with our in-house goldsmith who will bring your design to life. Depending on your design, this can take several weeks handcrafting intricate details to meet your final bespoke design specifications. Final Stage Our team will then invite you into our showroom to present you with your beautiful bespoke design. You will take your newly handcrafted piece of jewellery home to wear and enjoy for many years to come.

VALUATIONS
Giving You Peace Of Mind At Laings, we offer a professional in-house valuation service that is carried out to the highest standard. Our valuer, Sammantha Maclachlan IRV96816 MIRV PJDip CPAA, is a Member of the National Association of Jeweller’s Institute of Registered Valuers.
Valuations are a complex task and will differ for each item, however they tend to involve the following: Initial discussion about the piece and the purpose of valuation Complimentary clean Items are weighed and thoroughly researched Gemstones are graded and measured A value will be reached and presented to you in a bound folder

WATCH WORKSHOP
From One Watchmaker To The World Luxury timepieces are built to last forever. However, with elaborate and intricate mechanisms, they do require a little maintenance.
Our Rolex accredited watchmaker, Ian Anderson, is a member of the British Horological Institute and has many years experience working with the finest watch brands. Ian is joined by Ian Malone, who has extensive experience working with luxury brands and is Omega and Cartier accredited.
What does a watch service mean for you? Our state-of-the-art Watch Workshop is fully-equipped with all of the facilities needed to service your watch. Our watchmaker will assess your timepiece and determine the level of service needed to restore your watch to it’s best possible state. Once an estimate is agreed, the watchmaker will begin working on your timepiece. Upon completion our dedicated Service Department will then inspect the piece making sure that it meets our strict quality control standards. Our team will always be available to keep you updated.
A watch service can involve the following procedures: The entire timepiece is taken apart to access all of the intricate parts Old, worn or broken parts are replaced The watch parts are cleaned, and the movement is precisely lubricated and re-assembled Our watchmaker will then make any fine timing adjustments and test the watches various functions The dial and hands are re-assembled onto the movement, and inserted in its case Finally, further tests are carried out on the watch before it is ready to be returned From our watchmaker to the world – “love your timepieces, invest in their maintenance, and they will bring you many years of enjoyment.�

Southampton In 1995 Laings were offered the chance to expand south, purchasing the renowned jewellers, Parkhouse and Wyatt, a similarly family-run business. They trusted our reputation as a company that held family values at the core. The name Parkhouse remained until 2016 when we introduced the name ‘Laings’, becoming one brand and one family business. As well as name changes, we moved into Westquay shopping centre, providing visitors with a luxurious experience.
