WHO ARE WE?

Zuiver [adjective] means ‘Pure’ in Dutch. ‘Zuiver’ to us means clean, pure and true designs for everyone, but not just anyone. Born in 2011 and rooted in Westzaan - a little village northwest of Amsterdam, The Netherlandswe believe that creativity makes the world more comfortable. Creativity can take the world to places we never imagined, but the most important place of all will always be home. Creating a safe haven, where you can calm down and be yourself. To make your own space as comforting as can be and evoke a sense of home. With our contemporary range of furniture, lighting and accessories we bring forward-looking materials, ideas and designs into any home. Tomorrow’s designs for today’s interiors.

We are not a sustainable brand. Up until now, Zuiver has taken the first steps towards sustainability. We introduced the first sustainable product designs in our collection (indicated in this catalogue with a sustainability logo). In 2019, we presented our Thirsty chair, made of 60-100 upcycled PET bottles. In 2021, we introduced a new conscious edition of our iconic Albert Kuip chair series, a bioplastic version containing 42.5% coffee residue, and the Good Plastic Desk in collaboration with The Good Plastic Company. In 2022 we launched The Ocean Chair, made of 100% ocean plastic. Follow our website to be part of this journey.

Zuiver is part of the Zuiver Group, a family of interior brands, driven by our desire to make spot-on interior products available to everyone. As a frontrunner in the furniture design field, we feel it’s our responsibility to minimise our environmental and social footprint by exploring alternative materials and production methods. ‘Spot on Responsibility’ is our internal strategy that was introduced in 2019 in order to transform how furniture is made and (re)used. It outlines the actions we are taking to move our business, and the design industry as a whole, towards a more innovative and responsible future. We do this because resources are limited and for us, taking action on climate change and recognising human rights are non-negotiable. Every single product we design and sell has some connection to natural resources. We are ready to make new choices in order to treat our planet with the utmost respect and to minimise our company’s social and environmental footprint.
