Welcome to Laguna Playhouse and our production of THE RAINMAKER!
We are so glad you have joined us for this performance.
From the ARTISTIC DIRECTOR DAVID ELLENSTEIN
Our hope in creating theatre experiences is that we evoke what is best in all of us. Through humor, pathos or new perspectives, we collectively absorb a story, and so bond through that common journey. The magic of theatre!
I have always loved THE RAINMAKER. In returning to a classic tale of Americana, not only is the inherent sense of “tall tale” hope and aspiration still as powerful and charming as when it was new, but as a play of another time, it allows us to refect on where we have been and where we have evolved to.
At Laguna Playhouse our commitment is to bring to our community a wide variety of theatrical oferings, using the best theatre artists available. With more than 100 years of history and reputation to stand on, we look to create our brightest and most fulflling works yet. I am grateful for your patronage and support as I lead the artistic way. I am truly honored to be leading this storied institution.
On behalf of the entire Laguna Playhouse team, we invite you to enjoy THE RAINMAKER. We also invite you to return for more incredible stories. The 2023-2024 season is packed with a variety of shows I’m excited to share with you. It’s not too late to become a subscriber to see all of these shows at a discounted price.
Warmest regards,
David Ellenstein Artistic Director
