Beijing, the capital of China, is a city that blends rich history with modernity.

It is one of the most important, cultural, political, and economic cities in the country. With a history dating back over 3,000 years, Beijing served as the imperial capital for several dynasties, including the Ming and Qing This historical legacy is reflected in the city's architecture, ancient temples, palaces, and landmarks And as you may know, people with foreign passports can enter China without a visa for 144 hours and can travel in any city in China for 144 hours, that means you can travel to China for six days without a visa.

WHERE YOU CAN STAY?

LG Highlights: Behind the Scenes and Schemes.

La Garenne is a beehive buzzing with activity 24/7. With halls and classrooms filled by students, teachers and staff, you never feel alone Walking onto LG campus is like crossing into another world full of learning, academics, sports, communication and expeditions The LG community is a second family to all who go there However, despite this local feeling, it’s hard to keep track of everything But no worries! Here are your daily LG updates from interviews, little reminders, pieces of info and more

HEADS UP! NEW ARRIVAL!

Our beloved school photographer, Agathe, is expecting her first baby! The baby is due in April, its gender is yet unknown and the mother-to-be promises to show us the child near the end of the school year! Agathe claims that she will continue to work at LG after some time with her baby once it’s born, so know that we won’t lose our classy camerawoman.

The GOAT

We have not forgotten our dearest business teacher, Rob, who had an unfortunate mountain biking accident near the end of our first half term He is now in the Nestle Neuro Re-education Unit in Lausanne

His wife, Steph, has assured the LG Bombshells that Rob is progressing with his treatment and that he can almost move his right arm and hand as he once could. She says: “We are expecting full recovery, but after a long road of physiotherapy.”

La Garenne sends their love to the lovely couple and wishes them all the best of luck.

Future Freezing Fun!

As we are coming to the end of our first term, let's start looking toward the next. Our Sports & Expeditions departments were willing to provide some top secret sneak peeks for this winter's plans.

As head of the expeditions, Flo has promised lots of outdoor activities for those who are keen to enjoy the snow, such as: cross-country skiing, ski touring, sledging, ice climbing, snowshoeing, biathlon and even igloo building! Looks like our extra-curriculums will be full to the brim with familiar and new propositions Our Expedition Highlight will be the MYP3 excursion to Chamonix, France! This will be an overnight trip, what they will be doing is a surprise for now, but inside sources confirm that everyone will love it!

Tim (our head of the sports department) wants to develop the beginners ski program as we head into the next snowy months “We’re hoping for clear skies and empty pistes,” he says, reminding us that despite the ski season’s appeal, accidents are common, so be careful! As usual, all students will have two lessons a week and will be placed in groups depending on their skill, level and experience. Lastly, Tim has informed us that the sports department may be starting a Freestyle Academy for the more experienced skiers. This plan is still being developed so those eager to join will have to wait for the final details, but rumours have to start somewhere…

*Here’s a quick reminder from Flo to submit any outdoor leadership plans as soon as possible! (These small trips will be for 1 day maximum). “Send me an email if you're interested. This is a chance to develop your leadership skills, you have the opportunity to organise something that you want to do.” This is your chance to plan your very own expedition! From the activity to menu, it will all be chosen by you!

From Prep To Plate: Our Cunning Cooks

Food is crucial to learning and growing Our kitchen staff at Le Roc work tirelessly to make sure that the students, and staff, Of LG receive the best meals possible But due to long hours and busy schedules, our children and kitchen staff don’t get the chance to simply talk to each other. So what happens behind the scenes? How do 3 people feed the whole senior school? What sorcery is this? Well, we have the answers for you! LG Bombshells has interviewed one of our three cunning cooks in an attempt to catch a glimpse of life in the kitchen.

Mattis, 28 years old, Swiss, and speaks English and fluent French. We sent a french speaker to interview him so that we could obtain more detailed answers. Here is a translation

Interviewer: Good Afternoon Mattis

Mattis: Good Afternoon

Interviewer: So, how long have you worked at La Garenne

Mattis: 3 months in December

Interviewer: What are your working hours at Le Roc?

Mattis: It depends, 3 days, I have to be there from 6am-3pm, and 2 days It’s 9am-6pm

Interviewer: What is it like to serve food at Le Roc?

Mattis: I enjoy using good products and cooking from scratch and it's satisfying to provide good food that makes people happy.

Interviewer: Do you ever get overwhelmed?

Mattis: Well, it’s part of the job, you need to be able to stand the pressure. If you think negatively, then you won’t be able to do it

Interviewer: Does the kitchen ever prepare meals beforehand?

Mattis: We always make the food, the day it’s due Maybe the deserts on occasion, but rarely

Interviewer: How far do you plan your meals in advance?

Mattis: I don't plan the meals. The chef plans our menu every Thursday for the next week.

Interviewer: Where did you work before you came to LG?

Mattis: The first half of my apprenticeship was in Lausanne and I finished it in the Hospital de Chuv. I then worked for 5 years in the Vaudois countryside, cooking meals for the public schools. My team and I made around 1200 meals a day.

Interviewer: What is the biggest problem as a school cook?

Mattis: Probably finishing my hours. I usually work after my shifts. There’s always so much more to do.

Interviewer: What do you enjoy cooking the most?

Mattis: I enjoy making burgers, it takes time and the children are always happy when they see it But the children are lucky, the food here is such good quality compared to what I used to work with

Interviewer: What do you enjoy eating the most?

Mattis: Anything my Grandma makes, she inspired me to become a cook

Interviewer: Why do you work at La Garenne?

Mattis: It has a good ambience, there are lots of nice people. It feels like a little family. I also like how there’s direct contact with the children, where I used to work, the children were just numbers.

Interviewer: Tell me about your cooking team, What is it like?

Mattis: We are a great team, although we’re only three so we usually work alone. The maximum number of people in the kitchen at the same time is 2 people. But they are passionate and like what they do. I have a lot to learn.

Don't we all?

Boarding Beau-Site with Toni

An interview with Toni from Beau-Site revealed that life as a border is not what it seems. Oluwatoni (Toni for short) is a student in MYP2, she has been at La Garenne for 3 years and is now starting her fourth year. Toni was one of our students who had been in the LG primary school before attending its secondary school When LG Bombshells asked about the change from one school to another, she admitted that it was a difficult shift yet she was well prepared for the classwork by her previous teachers

However, boarding school can be tough sometimes “Beau-Site felt like a community, but some people didn’t play their part” Messy rooms and unwashed dishes can lead to the loss of boarding privileges for all Although, it’s no shock to find out that teenagers don’t do their chores

An interesting discovery was that our middle school children felt closer to their roommates than the others in the boarding house. This was confirmed by multiple students. The only problem mentioned was the language barriers between these tightly knit communities. Toni developed these claims, saying that: “Roommates are close, but when two people speak the same language, the third one can feel left out”. Luckily, we have our brilliant boarding staff, who make sure that everyone at Beau-Site, border or day student, feels at home.

Gifu is in the countryside where we live around nature and breathe clean air. There is lots of green and old buildings with long old history. Gifu is a very big prefecture (we have 47 prefectures in Japan) but Gifu is the one of only eight prefectures in Japan that doesn’t border the sea.

Gifu has three big rivers and 454 mountains. I will introduce you to what you should try!

Gifu city is not urbun so we don’t have many new buildings but Gifu has a long beautiful history and is a relaxing place. The most important thing is Gifu is a green place surrounded by nature. Gifu has everything for relaxing and refreshing yourself. When you are stressed you should come to Gifu! This is my beautiful Gifu prefecture.

P L A C E S

This is my recommendation places in Gifu.

2

Gifu castle is an important place in history In 1567bc Oda Nobunaga took this castle from Saitou Dousan and Gifu city became a popular place.

We rebuilt it in 1956, so it’s not the same as before but it is still a beautiful castle Gifu castle is a good place to take a photo and sometimes, they illuminate the castle and around it. Also, Gifu castle is on Mt.Kinkazan so we can see a lot of different views each season There is also a ropeway, so you can easily walk there There is also a place called Squirrel Village on the top of the mountain, and many people go to the top of the mountain just to see the squirrels

This place has been popular for its hot springs since the Edo period (1603〜 1868) It is known for it’s water that cleanses your skin There are hot springs only for feet so people don’t have to stay there for hours to try them. Also, the is a very beautiful view of nature from the hot springs. They have a lot of inns so I think it's good to take a rest the hole day You can relax with a tatami room and a natural view Please go and refresh yourself during the holidays!

3

Hida Takayama, located in the north of Gifu, is an area where culture continues from ancient times. Among them, the old townscape is my favourite area. The old buildings still stand today, and you can try a variety of crafts And the favourite attraction is it’s food You can eat old, traditional food for example Hida beef skewers, Nigiri Sushi and Mitarashi dango. When you go to Hida Takayama, try wearing a Kimono!

F O O D S

This is my recommendation for food in Gifu.

Hida beef doesn't have a long history (they started in 1970) but became a popular brand of beef in a short time They have just the right amount of fat, sweetness, and softness It’s very hard to get Hida beef because the cows are treated in a very specific way. First, they only eat good food Second, Must be raised in a stress-free environment Third, the cows have to be fully grown These are the most important rules That’s the reason why Hida beef is expensive but popular

My favourite way to eat Hida beef is with Miso and vegetables It’s called Grilled magnolia leaves I love miso’s taste so when I go to Takayama I always eat this. Please try it!

Kei-chan is made of chicken and has a base taste of Miso and Soy sauce. We add cabbage, onions, peppers, and bean sprouts to the dish. This food is only famous in Japan and is eaten both at home, and in Izakaya. I had this for school lunch before. This is an easy way to get nutrition and it’s also easy to make. I think that’s why many people like it. Kei-chan is also recommended because it matches other dishes. My favourite is with rice because Miso tastes very strongly with rice, but, some people like to eat with beer and noodles If you want to try food with a Miso taste I would recommend this

Gifu’s sweetfish live in a very beautiful river so they have the perfect aroma and amount of fat. Also, Gifu’s way to fish sweetfish is very rare We call Ukai This is someone special who will ride on the boat and use a cormorant A cormorant takes sweetfish, holds it in it’s throat and workers then take it out later so we can see the cormorant’s tooth pattern on the fish. Additionally, we have certain way to eat sweetfish in Japan and if you don’t eat cleanly, people think you have bad manners If you eat properly and cleanly, you can remove the bones easily I like to eat sweetfish with salt with bake for 30 minutes. I would like many people try to eat sweetfish and see Ukai Ukai is so fun and beautiful Sometimes we can see Ukai lit up with fireworks, (though it’s rare) please try it

Are Middle Seater cars the future?

GMA has released masterpieces like the Gordon Murray T50 and the new T.33 Spider, they are both spectacular cars.

Middle seater cars are a very unusual design aspect which is rarely seen. but, 80% of the time, it is made very well.

One of the first well known middle seater cars is the Mclaren F1, designed by Gordon Murray who has now started his own renowned car company called Gordon Murray Automotive.

Newer models of the Gordon Murray Automotive company don't use the 3 seater design because it’s very hard to get a registration to get the car to be road legal.

Formula racing like F1, F2, F3, F4 and FE all have centred steering for aerodynamic reasons.

What is Rally Racing?

Iconic Locations:

Famous rallies include the Monte Carlo Rally, Safari Rally (Kenya), and Rally Finland, known for its highspeed jumps.

Types of Rally races

WRC (World Rally Championship): The premier international rally series.

Rallycross: Combines rally racing with short, highspeed laps on mixed surfaces.

Endurance Rallies: Long-distance events like the Dakar Rally.

Specialised Vehicles:

Rally cars are heavily modified production cars designed to handle tough conditions. Features include roll cages, reinforced suspensions, and advanced braking systems.

Stages:

Rally events are divided into timed sections called stages. Drivers aim to complete each stage as quickly as possible, with the lowest total time determining the winner.

Co-Drivers:

A rally team consists of a driver and a co-driver (navigator). The co-driver provides instructions from a pace note system, describing the road ahead (e.g., sharp turns, jumps, or hazards).

Variety of Surfaces:

Rally races occur on various surfaces, such as gravel, mud, snow, sand, or tarmac, often in remote locations. This variety makes it unique compared to traditional circuit racing.

Unusual racing

Unusual racing is a semi popular spontaneous activity made for people with lots of different types of interests. For example, I am a big fan of racing, motocross, biking and a lot more motorised sports Just today I found out about Formula Offroad It looks sick I would genuinely do this myself if I had the training and equipment, but if you look at it from another side it is very dangerous and needs a lot of physical and mental power to fly around on a roped up metal buggy.

Other Unusual racing sports like pig racing also exist and might just be as entertaining to look at Pig racing is a sport in which usually small and baby pigs race each other on either dirt, fake grass or gravel for enough friction and grip and to make it look as realistic as possible. Pig racing is also mostly done for entertainment purposes and for charity to raise money Pig racing is very different to horse racing and most other animal racing sports because 90 percent of the time people are not allowed to bet on the winner because it is meant to be a family friendly event and just for entertainment purposes. The people who run these events are not trying to make a profit off of this and if they are it is for charity

Another form of unusual racing is Snail Racing! Snail racing is an unusual, humorous type of entertainment because snails are usually known to be very, very slow. This is the opposite of usual racing like horses and dogs because they are fast. Unlike them, snails are slow which makes it a time consuming sport. Like Pig racing most snail races are made for entertainment purposes or charity

Getting to Moscow

To get to Moscow, you can use aeroplanes or, if you are travelling from another city, you can also use a train. The main airport is Sheremetyevo. You can take a plane from many countries. -Blinu This food is really delicioys, and sometimes we can have Blinu in a restaurant as a dessert It’s not hard to make them, but it takes a lot of time to make the dough so that the Blinu won’t break when you cook them

If you love shopping, go to Arbat street to find some cute shops with clothes and you can buy some souvenirs like Matreshka or bigger ones like Samovar If you want to buy some more expensive brands, I recommend that you visit TSUM, there you can find luxury brands, and makeup.

Things to remember

-Take something warm because Moscow can be very cold In summer it can be warm so don’t forget to pack light clothes too

Switzerland Is one of the biggest role models for recycling The Swiss have some of the top methods for recycling. In 2018 Switzerland recycled 70% of its waste, but new research has found that during 2024, Switzerland recycled less than 10 % of its annual waste. Since 1970, 309 kg-706 kg of waste was produced per person

On the other hand Switzerland is known for encouraging their locals to recycle biodegradable wast like food, it is sent to incineration plants where it’s turned into energy for heating homes If someone has other waste like plastic, paper cans, and glass bottles, they will bring them to special recycling centres called a dechetterie where their trash will be collected and recycled But what if you don't want to go to the dechetterie, or don’t have time?

Don't worry! there's a door to door pick up as well. If your waste can’t be recycled, don't worry, it will be treated before heading to landfills Well how does Switzerland reuse? Switzerland has made a rule that glass, PET and aluminium bottles must be 75 % recycled. Some beverage companies reuse their glass bottles multiple times once thoroughly washed. And how do they reduce? Well many locals usually bring their own bags to the supermarket or they don’t buy plastic water bottles. If they do, they'll use it more than once.

Now you know! Will Switzerland be the future for reduce, reuse and recycling?

W H A T K I N D O F B O O T S B O O T S B O O T S are popular now?

It’s already winter, and it’s started snowing, so I will introduce to you what kind of boots are currently popular and why. We've picked out some popular looks from the fall/winter runway.

1

Thigh-high-boots are very long boots and it surpasses the knee area Thigh-high-boots can match with jeans, skirts and dresses. They are long so these boots make your legs look longer. I love how they can be both elegant and cool, so you can wear them in a variety of situations and you don't need to buy a lot of them

2

Suede boots are popular because of their unique texture. They are very soft so it’s easy to fit on your legs and they are very comfortable Also, suede boots have are a luxury These boots have a lot of different varieties, so everyone can have their own style. (Long to short, different colours, etc...).

Suede material requires careful care but you can use special sprays for protection

These shoes may look sloppy at first glance but they can be flashy as well. Slouchy boots have a lot of material and colours, so it can be formal to casual. Also, you can chose your style The loose fit means your feet don't feel constricted, making them comfortable to wear for long time And, they are high boots so they keep you warm when you go outside.

WHATTOWEARTOTHEONEAND ONLYCHRISTMASPARTY

While the vast majority of people say you should wear a traditional, ugly, sparkly red sweater to a christmas party, I honestly don't think that that’s the trend anymore For women, what to wear to a christmas party if you fall into this category. you can wear a cute christmas headband, a fun but stylish hat or pear shaped ear muffs.

For women:

Now if you need some extra help, here are some nice colours you can choose from: emerald green, deep red, almost fully saturated with a touch of gold/silver depending on your preference A T-shirt, depending on what you're going to pair it with You can wear a polo or a regular t-shirt in a nice red, green or if you want to keep it simple, I recommend a simple white t-shirt/polo. (I would recommend polos instead of a shirt.) For pants/ trousers, I would recommend black and white but not other colours as they won't clash.

If you want to stand out more, you can wear pants, the same as your colour shirt, maybe red, green or if you really want to stand, out you can wear a matching shiny silver/gold set. Or a personalised pyjama set that you can order online with your loved one's face for fun reactions.

Other things to wear could include, a long coat with a cute red and black jumpsuit under it, or a cute christmas jumpsuit, I think it's too basic, but remember if you love it, that's all that matters, friends!

And now for the part we’ve all been waiting for...Christmas Socks! You can wear tall socks with your favourite character/person on them, they can be angry or they can be flashy, even with mini lights. And finally, when it comes to shoes, my advice is to skip the shoes and go for a cute oversized pair of slippers with Santa, elves or your loved ones on them.

FORTHEMEN

For the men, what to wear to a Christmas party. I think they shouldn't wear shirts and suits, we can be more creative, so what should the men wear?

For accessories, you should wear a nice black and red baseball cap or a fun hat with a fun decoration.

Now, for the basics, a white t-shirt or black, red, green. If you don’t want to wear a business shirt, it should be normal with a fun/vibrant image on it or a 3D design.

And now for the part we've all been waiting for, on top, you can wear a cute green/red/black/white long-sleeved coat or a cute knitted sweater. You can even wear a sweater with your whole family's faces printed on it

As for the shoes, you can wear a pair of sneakers or cute slippers, but definitely not a pair of classic leather shoes.

This means that almost all small businesses in the US will have trouble paying the additional tax, and, this also means that all designer things will be 70% more expensive in the US than in the EU.

For example, a Birkin bag that costs 8 thousand euros in France will cost 13.6 thousand euros which is a 5 6 thousand euro price increase You can buy 2 in the EU for the price of 1 in US

Brands like Hermes can afford such taxes and there are people who would pay this price for the Hermes name, but, small business like Banana Republic can’t afford this due to their limited budget. A lot of brands will go bankrupt and close down, and it will be harder to buy normal clothes because a 60 dollar t-shirt from target will now cost 102 dollars. Before the tax increase you could have bought two for the price of one What was once affordable is now a luxury and what was once a luxury is now a dream.

In 1980 the US started developing new weapons, and one of them is the ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System). A few days ago Biden allowed Ukraine to use it against Russia. The Ukrainians have already successfully used it on the battlefield. ATACMS bombed a Russian command post in the town of Gubkin in Russia’s Belgorod Region, 170 km from the border with Ukraine.

Before Ukraine used the missile that Biden gave them, Putin had time to change the nuclear doctrine. So he changed the nuclear doctrine to warn Ukraine and the US. Russia's nuclear doctrine now states that if a non-nuclear-armed country attacks with the help of a nuclear-armed country, Russia has the right to use nuclear weapons to respond to the attack.

what is nuclear doctrine?

Nuclear doctrine define’s country’s policy of using nuclear weapons. It is usually focused on the strategies for example like first use or no first use. It also explains who decides to launch them and how they keep them safe. The main goal of nuclear doctrine is to scare other nations and prevent them from attacking to not start a nuclear war.

A.T.A.C.M.S.

A.T.A.C.M.S. stands for Army Tactical Missile System. The longest firing range of the missile is up to 300 km. An ATACMS launch container (pod) has one rocket and a lid patterned with six circles like a standard MLRS rocket lid to prevent an enemy from discerning what type of missile is loaded. The mass of the missile is 1318 kg and it's almost 4 metres tall. It has a diameter of 610 mm. ATACMS has a maximum speed of 1000m/s or 3600 km/h.

In Russia we celebrate many different celebrations through the years. In this article I will tell you about them.

Maslenitsa

We celebrate Maslenitsa in march. We celebrate it to start the gardening season and it can be considered a rite of passage for fruitfulness. Maslenitsa is celebrated for a week and during this week we bake pancakes and crepes. And we burn a scarecrow at the end of the week to say goodbye to winter and welcome the gardening season and it's a ritual.

Noviy God

Noviy God is new year translated from Russian. In Russia we don’t celebrate christmas we celebrate new year. All the family has a dinner on the 31st of december and we chat and eat until 1st of january. 5 minutes before the new year we switch on the tv and watch our president saying the celebration speech. After he says it the bells start ringing. While listening to the bells we write a letter with wishes for the next year and burn it, when its burned we put in glass of champagne and we have to drink it before the bells ring 12 times. After this we go outside and we do fireworks and meet friends and we don’t sleep all night.

Den Pobedy

Den Pobedy is victory day translated from Russian. It is celebrated to honour our country's victory over Nazi Germany in the Second World War. We celebrate it every year on the 9th of may. We dont go to school or to work on this day. On the first russian channel we watch parade of our soldiers and millitary transport/equipment. People wear the georgivskuy lentochka and the parade is attended by Veterans who survived the war.

BACK FROM THE DEAD: HERO RETURNED AS VILLAN

In late July 2024, the world was shocked when Marvel Film Productions announced the return of the famous actor, Robert Downey Jr.

RDJ, known for his role as Tony Stark (A.K.A Iron Man) in the Marvel: Avengers series, left the Marvel Franchise in April 2019. This was after he starred in the “Avengers: Endgame” . Where he then decided to kill himself off after 8 years and 10 films working with Marvel.

Some Marvel fans think that it’s a cheap Marvel shot at trying to make profit and that it ruins their picture of the “Iron Man” character. On the other hand, some Marvel fans are excited to watch this new and creative plot twist. but the world will have to wait because the film will be released in 2027. By Lily.

Culture- The Dia De Los Muertos is one of the most important days for the mexican culture, for us it is a beautiful tradition to celebrate the dead people some people think we celebrate that they die ,but we celebrete them lifes. It is very traditional in Mexico and we link it with other Mexican things as Mariachis and food.

Food- As I say we link mexican foood with this tradition ,so the food is mexican food like tacos, guacamole, tamales and the more representative of all of them is huitlatamalli a type of delicious sweet bread it is consume during October and November.

In this day there is a Myth that say that you make a Altar with some things and pictures of the death people/ animals you love and they come to life again for 1 day the 2nd of November, if there where under 18 when they die they come the 1st of November instead.

Dia De Muertos History, This Holiday created by Pope Gregory IV in the 835 was created by a Pope, but he create it in 835, so it has no references in the Bible but it is a holiday linked to Christianity and it was also linked over time to Catholicism.

Mumbling, Murmuring, Mutterings: Please Stop!

Have you ever been in the car? Listening to your favourite song? felling the Jam? Just to be brutally interrupted by your neighbour, mumbling the incorrect words! Suddenly, you can’t focus on that song you so enjoy. Only the scratchy mumerings of the miscreant’s misinterpreted wrong, words. Then, you wonder if they are aware of their disastrous singing (if you can call it that) , or worse, if they know that they’re squeaking the incorrect lyrics.

Now, dear reader, don’t misunderstand me, I am all for singing your heart out (or singing quietly) as long as you know the right words! Go big or go home, and not to my house!

You reach the point where your seriously considering knocking them out just to give your ears a break, when the chorus breaks through! And since, your “neighbour” only knows the lyrics to the chorus, therefore finally singing correctly, assault is no longer an option! All too soon you’re back to the verse and the bothersome being has resumed muttering their shoddy, knock off version of the now, ruined song. The car ride is almost over and you still haven’t informed them that they are unintentionally acing at doing the worst thing man can do.

What do you do? Burst their bubble and save countless others from future damage? Or stay quiet and suffer in silence. That is for you to decide. Nonetheless, this has to stop! It’s not only excruciating for the victims forced to endure this terrible tragedy, but embarrassing for these silent (yet lethal) individuals who cannot learn these simple lyrics.

Spot the difference

On the following pictures circle the differences,

Dont you want your poor innocent child to express them selves ? I strongly believe that kids should be able to decorate their bland, life less rooms. Why dont you add some personality?

One reason your kid should be able to decorate their room is because it will let them show their character. This can actually help you to know what your kids are into

Studies show that children feel a sense of owner ship over their room when they have been a part of the decorating process. Most parents even said that the kids rooms were kept tidier because they wanted to show it off to family and friends. Imagine being able to tell their friends that you did that! YOU would be the “Cool Mom” How nice is that ?

One could argue that its too expensive. But it can be as simple as just letting them chose a paint color. Or letting them pick their bed sheets. You could go to the doller store and buy them some cheep decor It dose not take much to put a smile on your childs face Just some tiny touches to transform their terrible territories into treasures. On the one hand you might say that you have no time. “ I will not let my 9 year old paint the walls! ’’ On the other hand one could one could argue that it it teaches them independence by them having to learn how to do basic life skils like, organising, fitting bed sheets, cleaning, and more And how said it had to be complicated? Just let them hang their paintings. Only 5 minutes out of your hour long days to help you kids.

So whats stopping you? In the end you did give them this room so why not let them add their touch? Its not your room, its theirs so let them own it So stop with your excuses and get your child to turn their rooms into something amazing

Every four years ski racers participate in the Olympics. Is it fair? Although even I can do it. People skiing down the mountain in those skinny costumes. What is that? Are we in the circus? Look at the other that go to the Olympics. For example basketball, players fly through the air with crazy precision and control using their strong bodies. Or in football everyone is ready to fight for every centimetre of the pitch for 90 minutes. And we have “ski racing” - “athletes” who slide down the mountain by using the power of gravity. And that’s all? There is no participation. The mountain does all the work. And ‘races’. People zigzaging through the posts, praying to not fall. However we are not in the circus. Even the danger doesn’t make it better or special. Broken bones. For what? For a trophy or a medal? No tactics - imperfect slide down don’t even qualify for a tumble, and that’s a sport. I bet no one of the ski racers can do a perfect tumble like gymnasts do. Ski racing is not special. it is awful. wated snow could be used for icecreams and sledging. But no, we want to use it for this “sport”.

Once again, imagine one day you are writing a piece for something in class that requires you to do research but you don't have a laptop so you have to walk all the way to the computer room just to do some research about something as useless as how long a penguin lives!

4. Data: everything is backed up on a computer hard drive and if that isn't enough you can put it on another hard drive. Did you spill some water on your computer? No worries your hard drive can be fixed. Did you spill some water on your book? Too bad it is wet and ruined you can't back up a piece of paper can you?
