Based on the traditional values of our Philosophy - "Be responsible, Never Give up, Act kindly and Make an Effort" - our mission is to offer academic excellence and memorable activities, to insure our campers experience an unforgettable stay in a warm international family environment, full of diverse opportunities and in a safe location of exceptional surroundings, as in a home away from home. With this in mind, and the knowledge that no two children are alike, we promote respect, tolerance, politeness, challenging oneself and citizenship.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Teachers employ a practical, multi-sensory approach to teaching English or French through games, music, arts and crafts, story-telling, role play, dressing up, cooking and quizzes, all of which help ensure lessons are varied and interesting. New themes are introduced every couple of days, for example The World Around Us, Going Shopping, Poetry & Stories from Around the World, Exercise, and Hobbies.
Our ‘adult to student’ ratio is 1:2; these adults are teachers and monitors who are employed all year round by La Garenne, to ensure the camp is safe and memorable.

Memorable Expeditions
As part of the ski and sport’s program, the students may take part in super expeditions during the winter camp. They are planned in accordance with the student’s age and capabilities.
During the winter expeditions, the students may ski over the mountains during the weekends, discover other popular Swiss ski resorts (Crans Montana, Verbier, Les Diablerets, Zermatt), sleep in the mountain cabins or even go cross country trekking with snow shoes.
The children meet with the Head of Expeditions and plan their weekend together, decide on what to take, how to transport their belongings, order the food they require, fix the daily schedules, etc. This helps the children to become more independent and to enjoy their memorable weekend expedition in the Swiss Alps.
