We want your experience at LA Film to be a success right from the start. To ensure you build strong academic momentum and maintain your enrollment status, you must successfully accomplish these two items during your first 30 days:

SUCCESSFULLY PASS YOUR FIRST CLASS 01.
This is the most direct measure of your academic success. Passing your first class sets the foundation for your entire program.

Log In & Attend: You must consistently log into your Learning Management System (LMS) and actively attend all scheduled class meetings from Day 1. Regular attendance is key to understanding the material and getting credit.
Submit Assignments: Be diligent! Submit all required assignments, projects, and discussions on time. Late work can quickly drop your grade.
Need Help? Connect With Us: If you are struggling with the material, feeling overwhelmed, or experiencing any personal challenges that impact your studies, immediately connect with your Instructor or Student Success Advisor. We have resources to help, but you must reach out first.

CLEAR YOUR FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
Maintaining clear financial status is critical to ensuring your enrollment and access to services.
Financial Aid Communication is Key: For students using Financial Aid (FA), it is vital that you keep the lines of communication open with the Financial Aid team. They will be reaching out to you frequently via email and phone regarding necessary documents, loan agreements, and disbursements.
Respond Promptly: You will be contacted about this a lot. Do not ignore calls or emails from the Financial Aid department! Respond promptly to all requests for information or action to prevent delays or complications with your funding.
Verify Your Status: Work with the FA team to ensure all your required documents are processed and your tuition payment plan (if applicable) is set up and current.

Your official lafilm.edu student email account is the single most important digital tool for your academic journey. It serves two distinct and critical functions: Official Communication and Digital Access.

Official School Communications: All messages from the administration, student services, and departmental staff will be sent here.
