Captain, my captains! Achievement and glory is within the grasp of the three Vossie teams that will play in the final of the Beeld trophy tomorrow. Will they rise to the occasion on home soil and make yet more rugby history, or will the teams from Read more on page 24 afar spoil the fun?

Tzaneen’s financial problems are mounting to such an extent that urgent growth and development could be compromised. Following the disclaimer that the GTM recently got from the AuditorGeneral (which in itself is bad news), the international credit ratings company Moody’s Investors Service has withdrawn the long-term national scale issuer ratings of Greater Tzaneen and nine other municipalities. When it made the announcement, Moody’s said it withdrew the ratings for business reasons. It said the ratings carried a negative outlook, which reflected systemic risk from SA’s sovereign ratings.

Asked whether the municipalities could still apply for loans, Efficient Group economist Merina Willemse said that anybody could apply for a loan, but the interest charged could be higher if a bank thought the risk was greater. The other municipalities involved are Breede Vallei, George, Knysna, Lephalale, Maluti-A-Phofung, Matlosana, Sol Plaatje, Swartland and uMgeni. Moody’s did not give further details on its decision. A rating could be withdrawn due to a lack of essential data pertaining to the issue or issuer, among other reasons. The withdrawal may occur if new and material circumstances arise which preclude satisfactory analysis.

Sê jou sê The opinions/statements made herein are that of our readers and does not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of the Bulletin. The comments of people are given verbatim. We appeal to all who take part in the debates not to use hate-speech or to be insulting toward others. Stem jy saam? • The Bulletin says: If there is proper and sensible planning for the control of traffic, shifts for traffic officers to ensure visibility for the whole day, not only office hours. If there are more traffic patrols all the speedsters in town will be identified quickly and easily. Then it won’t be necessary for the town’s streets to be transformed into an obstacle course for 4x4 vehicles. Do you agree? Cara Luüs Erasmus What about speed trap boxes in the main streets, that are a permanet fixture. The problem areas. For example, speed box coming in under the bridge in annecke? Onpadwaardige boertuie geniet voorrang. En wanneer jy ‘n verkeersbeampte benodig ...? Wie weet waar is hulle! Desiré Lombard Die ding wat my bloed behoorlik laat kook is die padvarke wat so verby die skole jaag, Sheila Newby Grobbelaar Agree! Sean Niemandt Dit is T*y*t@ se skuld.

Masturbasiekonsternasie THIS COLUMN HAS NO AGE RESTRICTION PARENTAL GUIDANCE IS NOT ADVISED “School children have a right to an enjoyable sex life.” “Health promotion experts advocate children have five portions of fruit and veg a day and 30 minutes physical activity three times a week. Regular sex is good for the heart. What about sex twice a week?” Dis nou in haar majesteit se agterplaas. “This is because existing sex education often does not meet the needs of children and young people. Not only does the UK have one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in Europe, but rates of sexually transmitted infections among young people are soaring.” “About 40,000 teenagers become pregnant every year in the UK — the highest level in western Europe. More than half end in abortion.” “In fact, not teaching young people that sex should be fun can do more harm than good. In an increasingly sexualised soci-

Vlieg praat met die Volk en krap waar dit jeuk... ety, young people often feel under pressure to have sex before they are ready. They can lack the confidence to say no and wait. There are plenty of young people who will tell you that they wish they’d waited longer before having sex, or that they’re having sex they don’t really want.” “Helping young people to see sex as a positive choice, something to do when they’re ready and not because of peer pressure, helps develop their confidence. This, in turn, equips them to discuss and practise safe sex.” “What’s more, there’s a strong child protection argument for discussing pleasure. If young people know that sex should be fun and consensual, they are more likely to be able to identify and report abuse, both by adults and other young people.” “In countries where there is more openness about sex, such as the Netherlands, young people wait longer than British teenagers before having their first experience. Levels of teenage pregnancy are also significantly lower in the Netherlands than in the UK, which has the highest rate in Western Europe.” “Experts concentrate too much on the need for safe sex and loving relationships, and not enough on the pleasure sex can bring.” “Far from promoting teenage sex, it is designed to encourage young people to delay losing their virginity until they are sure they will enjoy the experience.” Hulle sê: “An orgasm a day keeps the doctor away”

Mother Teresa inspires me: “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love”. An exceptional woman manages her life to ensure harmony in her home and work. Women’s Day is definitely worth celebrating as women are the heart of a family which becomes the heart of a nation.

I am inspired by African Union Commission Chairperson, Mama Nkosazana DlaminiZuma. I believe an exceptional woman is one who knows that she is a woman not by accident, circumstances, marriage nor achievements but that she is a woman by God’s creation.

My mother is my inspiration. She’s always been there for me, especially during hard times. Women need to always be creative and innovative in their line of work and rise above their male counterparts. Women’s Day helps women understand where we were, where we are and where we are going.

I am inspired by every woman who, despite the financial burden they are faced with, are able to raise their kids and provide protection. Exceptional women possess internal strength, wisdom and the ability to empower others and succeed independently. I believe women must be celebrated on a daily basis.

Brachytherapy now available in Tzaneen

One of the first patients who underwent low dose Brachytherapy in Tzaneen was Mr Philipe Buyst. He is seen here with Drs Wayne van Niekerk (Radiotion Oncologist), Dr Nathan October (Urologist) and Prof Aldo van Rensburg (Radiation Oncologist).

Dr October’s rooms are at Ivory Tusk Lodge, Specialist Rooms B12. Tel: 015 308 0041. He specializes in the following procedures: Renal stones – Lazer Lithotripsy • Prostate disorders • Urological Malignancies • Urogynaecology • Mens health • Paediatric Urology came to the district in 1904 and was a pioneer farmer in Agatha. Tana leaves her husband, wellknown author and doyen of PRO’s in SA, David, children Brett and Bridget and grandchildren James and Imogen.

Tribute to Tana Tana Hilton-Barber (79) of Agatha has died. She was wellknown as the hostess of the original Kings Walden Guest House and the creator of the wonderful gardens there. Tana was the daughter of the late Elsie and Bill Tooley. Bill Tooley

From a friend: “One of the most magnificent gardens I have seen anywhere in the world was “curated” by Tana Hilton Barber whose family home it was in Agatha, high on the ridge above Tzaneen and the Letsitele Valley. Thank you Tana, for all the times our family and friends

spent with you, the meals we had and the stories that were told. In my garden, there was a bench that had an inscription: “You are closer to God in a garden than anywhere else on earth”. From the family: “Tana: May you rest in peace after a full, challenging life of laughter, tears and lots of family, friends and gardening.” From a visitor: “I remember that magnificent place in the mountains with the most spectacular garden. I had the joy of meeting the most fabulous lady who owned the place. She was a delight in every way. Humorous,

The first three cases of low dose Brachytherapy was performed in Limpopo Province at Mediclinic Tzaneen. Brachytherapy is the implantation of radioactive seeds into the prostate causing localized radiation to the prostate. There is minimal radiation to the pelvic organs compared to external beam radiation. The radioactive seeds are Iodine -125 or Palladium-103. The long term results are similar to external beam radiation and surgery with minimal side effects – such as impotence and incontinence. The procedure is performed as a day case and the patient can return to normal activities within 2 days post Brachytherapy.

My moeder was my inspirasie. Uitstaande vroue is doelgerig.

I am inspired by Fiona McDonald, who never gives up and continues to care and help people in our area. An exceptional woman never gives up and keeps a smile on her face no matter what. Women’s Day should be celebrated. Women are the Mother of Nature. Tears are cried in happiness and grief and wash away the pain of many.

Criminals busy In what seemed to have been a busy week for criminals, Tzaneen Police arrested 40 offenders. Eight people were arrested for common assault, six for possession of a suspected stolen vehicle and five for housebreaking and theft. Five people were arrested for shoplifting, three for theft, three for common robbery, one for house robbery, three for assault GBH, two for crimen injuria and one for malicious damage to property. Two people were also arrested for drinking and driving and one person was arrested for fraud. In the mean time, Matome Jeffrey Noko Pilusa was sentenced to six months in prison for housebreaking and theft, and Joseph Chris Mokgoanatse was sentenced to twelve months for the same offence. Mohale Abel Macko was sentenced to six months for assault GBH, while Masilo Elliot Kgatla was sentenced to three years on the same charge. Tzaneen Police opened a case of theft under false pretences after a man had pretended to be a Police officer and then robbed a woman. Modjadji Malatji (18) alleges that she was at Tzaneen Crossing when the man approached her. He pretended to be a Police officer and told her that a woman reported two of her cell phones, her bank card and R3 000 cash as stolen. He asked to check her bag to see if the stolen goods were inside her bag. He then took some of the woman’s items but never

A theft syndicate, consisting of four men and a woman were arrested over the weekend after one of them was caught red handed stealing a cell phone. According to information received the four men and the woman entered a liquor store in Haenertsburg to buy liquor, when one of them stole a cell phone belonging to an employee of the store. A witness who saw it happening gave a description of the suspects, as well as the vehicle they were travelling in, to the Police. Members patrolled the area and found the vehicle where it was still waiting at a stop and go area in Magoebas-kloof. The suspects and the vehicle were searched and the stolen cell phone, as well as an unlicensed fire-arm, was retrieved. Further investigations revealed that the gang is responsible for several cases of shoplifting and theft in the province. It is believed that they were involved in the theft of several cell phones, shoplifting at clothing and grocery stores, handbag snatching and snatching of jewellery from the bodies of unsuspected victims in Mokopane, Tzaneen, Phalaborwa, Polokwane and Mankweng. It was also found that the unlicensed 9 mm pistol was stolen during a housebreak in Mahwelereng. The suspects, aged between 21 and 31, are from Mokopane and Naboomspruit. They appeared in the Tzaneen Magistrates’ Court and was not granted bail. They will remain in custody till their next court appearance.

the Tzaneen cluster donated food parcels to needy families at the Joint Operation Centre on Monday. The Police Women’s Network led by the Tzaneen Police Cluster Commander, Major General Maggy Mathebula, contributed food parcels to the poor from their own pockets. Mathebula is also the Provincial Champion of the SAPS Women’s Network (PWN). She said that during operations, the Police women identified numerous families from various areas who needed assistance. The PWN decided to dig deep in their pockets to help these families. “It is not the first time that we have done this. We also played our part for the two yearold girl who was raped”, said Mathebula. One family from each Police station in the Cluster was chosen, but three from Ritavi. Ritavi is said to be an area where severe poverty was observed by Police women. The Tzaneen Police Station Commander, Brig Dianah Mashele, handed over food parcels to poverty stricken families at the Joint Operation Centre in Tzaneen.

No drinking Violations of the Liquor Act were on the rise in Ritavi last week, as Police arrested nineteen people for contravening the Liquor Act, fourteen for assault GBH and seven for violation of the Roads Traffic Act. Five people were arrested for robbery, three for rape and three for theft. Two people were arrested for common assault, one for crimen injuria and one for housebreaking and theft.

Eleven people were arrested for contravening the Roads Traffic Act, seven for illegal gambling, six for common robbery, two for theft, two for assault GBH and one for common assault.

Tzaneen Police Cluster Commander Maj Gen Maggy Mathebula hands over food items to vulnerable people. On the left of the general is Brig Dianah Mashele.

Bolobedu Police have arrested a man who pretended to be a manager at Eskom and accepted money from the public whom he had promised jobs. It is alleged that the man demanded R2 500 from hopeful job seekers whom he promised jobs. According to Bolobedu Police, the man took money from 54 people. He will appear in the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court next week. He was denied bail and remains in Police custody.

Premier suspends two HOD’s Limpopo premier, Stanley Mathabatha announced on Monday the suspension of Morebudi Jackson Thamaga as the head of department (HOD) of education, as well as the HOD of CoGHSTA, Nnana Manamela. Both were allegedly implicated in serious corruption charges and could be facing criminal charges. DA Limpopo Legislature caucus leader Desiree van der Walt welcomed the announcement this week saying: ”These HODs were shielded by the previous premier, Cassel Mathale. The allegations they face range

from serious corruption and fraud charges.” Van der Walt is adamant that Mathale and his directorgeneral, Rachel Molepo-Modipa, should subsequently also face charges for obstructing the course of justice. “We will be writing to the Hawks in Polokwane to investigate Mathale. He blocked all the investigations that public administration minister, Lindiwe Sisulu initiated against these officials. It was under Cassel Mathale that this took place and he went to great lengths to ensure that these HODs are not investigated,” she added.

SA tenoor Anton Stoltz se stem is nou stil

Hy was baie geliefd by sy

aangesluit het by KRUIK. Sy eerste rol in ‘n opera was in La Traviata, gevolg deur verskeie ander rolle as ‘n solis.

So, daar is dit nou.

Nou wie is rassisties? Nee dankie vir my. Sterk staan JS!

Ek wil weet hoe so iets kan gebeur.

In the wake of this we, Vantshwa Va Xivono in partnership with Fankixet Life Style Movement, Two Mountains Funeral services and the Nkowankowa (Ritavi) Police social against crime development have embarked on a campaign around Nkowankowa schools promoting breaking the silence against the abuse that is taking place.

Undertaking

Desiree van der Walt, DA Limpopo Education spokesperson, 082 452 0444, writes: The DA has met with Limpopo Education MEC Ms Dikeledi Magadzi to discuss our concerns about learners in Limpopo going a third straight year without enough textbooks.   MEC Magadzi has conceded that the distribution plan for textbooks was not yet finalised. She however undertook that all textbooks, for all grades and for all subjects will be delivered to schools before close of this academic year.   The key reason why textbooks are not reaching learners is that there is no tracking system that can confirm whether books were delivered in the right numbers.  The DA will hold the MEC to her word.  We will be monitoring every aspect of the textbook situation in the province to make sure that what happened in the last two year does not repeat itself.  We trust that MEC Magadzi will keep her promise for the sake of our learners.  Given the hardships that our learners had to endure in past two years with regards to textbook non- delivery where similar promises were made, the DA will still embark on a province wide monitoring campaign.  Two key promises made by the MEC was that textbooks were already ordered. She promised that textbooks were about to be delivered to Limpopo’s warehouses.  We will not rest on our laurels until it becomes a norm in Limpopo that textbooks are delivered on time, for all grades and for all subjects in Limpopo.

“Plaaslewe is ‘n ander lewe — ‘n lekker lewe. Hy het my hart gesteel.”

Ontmoet Genevieve Booyse, erg besig soos ‘n by... of ‘n mier.

Not every diagnosis needs a doctor Sr Audrey Riley (38) is regarded as an expert on spider bites. However, there’s much more to this highly trained nursing sister than identifying spider bites. Seated in her clinic, at the back of Van Heerden’s Pharmacy in the Lifestyle Centre, Sr Audrey says she grew up in Witbank and did her nursing training at One Military Hospital in Pretoria. She worked in surgical wards after her basic training and it was there that she devel-

oped an interest in wounds and stoma care. This led her to complete a certificate course at the University of Pretoria in Wound, Stoma and Continence care. She then moved to Louis Trichardt to a small private hospital called Zoutpansberg Hospital. Her husband, a welder in the food industry, relocated and the family, including their two young daughters moved to Tzaneen some two years ago. Sr Audrey then joined Van Heerden’s Pharmacy. She deals mainly with headaches, cold and flu symptoms, and insect bites. The latter are more prevalent during winter and the rainy season. Patients will generally go to their doctor when bitten by a tick as they don’t feel well. However, spider bites only kick in with fever and headaches. By that time there’s already a visible painful area. Most come to the clinic at this stage thinking it’s an ingrown hair. The black widow spider’s bite is neurotoxic (affects the nerves), and will spell death if not treated immediately. A child under the

age of four can die within an hour of being bitten. The bite causes slurred speech, paralyses the muscles and therefore the heart stops beating. The bite is identified by a small and hardly noticeable puncture mark with an inflamed ridge. Most spiders are cytotoxic. This means that they cause tissue death and these bites are usually not fatal unless accompanied by other medical issues. The three most common found in the Tzaneen area are the violin spider, the common jumping house spider and the sac spinnekop (bag spider) named thus due to the infection it causes. Most spider bites occur during the night whilst asleep. Spiders crawl into beds because it’s cold, the sleeping person rolls over onto the spider, and it bites in self defence. The burning and itching starts within 24 hours and the bite mark is hot, hard to the touch and makes an eschar (a black necrotic scab in the centre of the bite). Both tick and spider bites make an eschar. A tick bite is less than a mm in diameter, whereas spider bites are some 2 mm in diameter. The first line of defence against a spider bite is antibiotic ointment applied three times a day from the first 24 hours, then oral antibiotics and if that fails a doctor will give intravenous antibiotics. Sr Audrey encountered many spider and tick bites whilst working in the military environment and learnt to tell the difference. She has a lot of stoma care patients and travels to many and some are as far as Phalaborwa and Musina. Most of the stoma care patients are cancer patients. This led to the subject of incontinence. Incontinence, whether it’s a leakage or a complete blockage, is a common complaint but a taboo subject throughout the world. Urinary incontinence comes with age, hormonal changes and pregnancy. It’s also more common in females than males. Faecal incontinence in both men and women is caused by cancers and haemorrhoids. Sr Audrey says it’s a taboo subject as we are taught, from birth, to control our bladder and bowel. It’s supposed to be for life. Losing control is seen as a social disgrace. When Sr Audrey is not tending to her patients either at the clinic or in their homes, she enjoys quality time with her family, doing crosswords and reading a Wilbur Smith novel.

Many eyes on GTM’s spin doctor post The image of the Greater Tzaneen Municipality is under pressure by delaying an appointment of a communication manager which results in the unit not functioning properly. The position became vacant and was advertised months ago after the resignation of the former manager, Mr Thulani Twala. Twala has fallen from grace after he was removed from office by members of the SA Municipal Workers Union (Samwu), who acted after he defied a court order from the high court. He resigned after he had been on special leave for a period of three months. It has been about three months since the post was advertised and it is gathered that several media practitioners within the communication unit are eagerly waiting to take over as manager. However, the municipality has so far not yet started with the selection process to

get candidates who would be eligible for interviews. According to a well-placed source within the municipality, it is gathered that amongst the contenders for the post are the former liaison officer in the Communication Unit, Mr Odas Ngobeni and now working for the Government Communication and Information Services (GCIS), liaison officer Ms Puseletso Ramothwala and the current acting municipal spokesperson, Mr Neville Ndlala. The source said the current set-up in the unit does not serve the media fraternity properly and they prefer the return of the matured and hard working Ngobeni, whom they say is well qualified. “He has got what it takes to handle media queries and can manage the communication affairs of the municipality in a proper way.” Media sources dropped a hint that with the current

staff component in the communication unit, it is very difficult for them to get information from the municipality as they are in most cases taken from pillar to post before they get what they need. Ndlala is a diploma graduate, which is contrary to the requirements of the post, while Ramothwala holds an honours degree in media studies. It is alleged that several senior officials, including the mayor, would prefer Ndlala to take over as he has been doing much for the unit since the departure of Twala. Meanwhile, GTM municipal manager Masiye Mankabidi said they have not yet started with the shortlisting of candidates for the interview. However, Mankabidi denied allegations that there might be certain individuals who has been eyed for the top job. — Michael Sakuneka

Sluipdief besteel inwoners in sekureitskompleks

— Retha Nel retha@bulletin.us.com

Winner of the 2009 Dakar in a Volkswagen Race Touareg and second La Rioja La Serena the following year, Giniel De Villiers took an important turn last year in joining the Toyota team after the German constructor took its 19/01 leave. A turn negotiated to near perfection in the Hilux Pickup that he drove to third place overall. This test run that transformed into a Santiago master stroke has made De Villiers a contender for the win in 2013. PODIUM 20/01 With a year of experience behind him and still guided by loyal codriver Dirk Von Zitzewitz, the South African is relying on the new car division engine regulations and a Toyota that has increased torque to battle with the Mini drivers, who he considers to still be the favourites. G.D.V.: “Honestly, I was very happy with our performance in 2012. We couldn’t CHILE have hoped for better. This 3rd place was like a victory for us. Since then we have improved quite a few things on the car and have made many advances. We had to improve our torque problem in the sand to gain in terms of performance. We have also changed the rear suspension. I am impatient to see how it does in the rally. We are not the favourites. The X-Raid team certainly has the best drivers and although the regulations have been changed, their stock motor is still the best. I would be happy if we are competitive with the Minis. If that is the case, we will have a chance to win. After the first 3 or 4 stages we will have a better idea about our chance of winning.”

Changing a tyre Edited by James Quirk, Jack Herrick, Sean Hickey, Bob Palin and 61 others

Step 3 Place a heavy object (e.g., rock, con-

crete, spare wheel, etc.) in front of the front and back tyres.

Search “Laeveld Bulletin”

Place the jack under the frame near the tyre that you are going to change. Ensure that the jack is in contact with the metal portion of your car’s frame. • Many cars have molded plastic along the bottom. If you don’t place the jack in the right spot, it will crack the plastic when you start lifting. If you’re not sure about the right place to put the jack, read your owner’s manual. • For most modern uni-body cars, there is a small notch or mark just behind the front wheel wells, or in front of the rear wheel wells where the jack is intended to be placed. • For most trucks or older cars that have a frame, look to place the jack on one of the beams of the frame just behind the front tyre or in front of the rear tyre.

change your tyre. You need a solid, level surface that will restrict the car from rolling. If you are near a road, park as far from traffic as possible and turn on your emergency flashers (hazard lights). Avoid soft ground and hills.

Step 2 Apply the parking brake and put car into “Park” position. If you have a standard transmission, put your vehicle in first or reverse.

replace it with a spare. • As you lift, make sure that the car is stable. If you notice any instability, lower the jack and fix the problem before fully lifting the car. • If you notice the jack lifting at an angle or leaning, lower and reposition it so that it can lift straight up.

(but not lifting) the car. The jack should be firmly in place against the underside of the vehicle. Check to make sure that the jack is perpendicular to the ground.

Remove the hub cap and loosen the nuts by turning counterclockwise. Don’t take them all the way off; just break the resistance. By keeping the wheel on the ground when you first loosen the nuts, you’ll make that you’re turning the nuts instead of the wheel. • Use the wrench that came with your car or a standard cross wrench. Your wrench may have different sizes of openings on different ends. A correctly-sized wrench will slip easily over the nut, but will not rattle. • It can take quite a lot of force to break your lug nuts free. If all else fails, you can use your body weight or stomp on the wrench (be absolutely certain you are turning it the correct way - counter clockwise). • A cross wrench will give you much more torque than a standard single-handled wrench.

R192 950

Step 9 Remove the tyre. Place the flat tyre under the vehicle so in the event of a jack failure the vehicle will fall on the old wheel, hopefully preventing injury. If the jack is placed on a flat, solid base, you shouldn’t have any problems. • The tyre might be stuck due to rust. You could try hitting the inside half of the tyre with a rubber mallet to loosen the tyre, or use the spare tyre to hit the outside half.

Step 10 Place the spare tyre on the hub. Take care to align the rim of the spare tyre with the wheel bolts, then put on the lug nuts.

all snug. They should turn easily at first. • Using the wrench, tighten the nuts as much as possible using a star pattern. To ensure the tyre is balanced, don’t completely tighten the nuts one at a time. Going in a star pattern around the tyre, one nut across from another, give each nut a full turn until they are equally tight. • Avoid using so much force that you risk upsetting the jack. You will tighten the lug nuts again once the car is down and there is no risk of it falling.

Step 13 Lower the car to the ground fully and remove the jack. Finish tightening the nuts and replace the hubcap. Put the old tyre in your trunk and take it to a mechanic. Get an estimate for the cost of repair. Small punctures can usually be repaired for less than R50. If the tyre is not repairable, they can dispose of it properly and sell you a replacement.

1. Familiarize yourself with this procedure and with the particulars for your car before you get a flat tyre, so that you don’t have to learn by the side of the road, in the dark or in the rain. 2. Check occasionally to make sure that your spare tyre has sufficient air. 3. When loosening and tightening the nuts, arrange the cross wrench so that you are pressing down (with gravity). This will remove risk of injury to your back and also allow you to use your body weight rather than just your arm strength. Press on the end of the wrench for the best leverage. You can even use your foot, but make sure to keep your balance and steady yourself against the car. 4. If your wheels have locking lug nuts, be sure to keep the key-lug where you can easily find it. You will need it to change the tyre. 5. Rotating your tyres at manufacturer’s recommended intervals can prevent a common problem when changing a flat. 6. Sometimes the wheels will seize to the hub, resulting in great difficulty in removal of the flat tyre. If this happens, you will need a sledge hammer and a 2x4 or other piece of wood to remove a seized wheel rim. Rotating your tyres will prevent this from happening when you do have to change a tyre. 7. When replacing nuts, be sure that the tapered side goes into the wheel. This centers the wheels and locks the nuts in place.

Warnings 1. Be aware of your surroundings. If you’re on a busy road, be particularly wary of vehicles driving by that might get too close. There are hundreds of people killed each year while changing a tyre on the side of the road; don’t do this unless you must. 2. Most spare tyres (the undersized “donut” tyres) are not designed for speeds of more than 60 kph or for long distances. Exceeding this speed can cause problems, including failure of the spare tyre. Instead, drive slowly and carefully to a shop and have your tyre repaired or replaced. 3. For safety, place an object such as a log, large rock, etc., under the vehicle after jacking, but before removing the tyre. Place it so that it will stop the vehicle from dropping in case the jack is dislodged or shifts for some reason while the wheel is removed. Place it near a part of the frame or other supporting part not too far from the wheel.

Neef, Outop wil jou tog reghelp. Nee, jy kry net die 3 of 4 behoeftige sleutelspelers in elke ander span. Stap 2. Daar is ook tong in die kies gesê “it looked like the Zim players were out muscled when the game started but, the Zim players outplayed the light blue team”.

Plattelandse skool kry 4 spanne in finaal. Plattelandse skool wen? (rokie).

Waarom? O ja, daar is mos twee inter-skole-atletiekbyeenkomste in ons ou ryk provinsie. Waar ‘n rokie nee, rokies trek is daar ‘n vuurtjie nee, moerse vuur my ou neef. Hoop jou navorsing is volgende keer meer vreesloos. Die koerant is bietjie dun. Dalk moet Oubal vreesloos homself vra: hoekom? Wees vreesloos ten all tye, anders los die vreesloos stories oor ander skole.

Maak of breek vir Vossies
