to fund EXORBITANT salary increases that are on the cards
Between R25 million and R30 million per year will be needed if the Greater Tzaneen Municipality’s council on Monday night approve the new salary structures. Where this money could come from, is anybody’s guess. There are no options other thn to increase rates and taxes and this could ruin Tzaneen’s growth and development. If the new salary scales

Punch-drunk GTM gets another blow in High Court The Greater Tzaneen Municipality has losttheir appeal against a ruling by the High Court that they should honor the employment contract between the GTM and their previous chief financial officer, Mr André le Grange. The GTM didn’t renew Le Grange’s contract in June this year, despite a clause in the contract that stipulated that in the event of his contract not being renewed, he would be employed in a position on the same level and at the same salary scale than before he was contracted to fill the position of CFO.
