Letter from President Joyce

Dear Passport Club Members:

If you were unable to attend last month’s meeting, please take the time to review the following information.

Our event, in honor of Earth Day – An Evening with Sir David Attenborough – About 40 Zoom participants joined.

Over $700 in donations were received to World Wildlife Fund. This is a very good turnout by our members and/or donations to meet our monthly challenge. Thanks to a great committee, chaired by Adrienne, supported by Rich, Kitty, and Sue S.

The challenge for June is to Save the date and attend our June meeting. June 22.

We will NOT have a meeting on June 1. Instead, the Changeoverof-Officers meeting will be held on June 22 beginning at 6:30.

A social event on Zoom, with a little Rotary business, and very much in tune with our unwritten 5th item in the 4-Way test - Will it be fun?. Please join and feel free to include friends and family.

Because Bill Tobin's ShelterBox presentation was excellent, and important, here is a You Tube link to the video with a short amount of our meeting. Bill Tobin is a Rotarian and Shelter Box employee.

(You can use the viewing of this as attendance to our meeting if you let Mariann know you did so.) This alliance with Shelter Box is another reason I am very proud to be a Rotary member. I appreciate the important partnership RI has with Shelter Box.

The Rotary Ranch Party at the end of May allowed us to receive funds to donate to Shelter box. If you did not participate, please consider making a donation to Shelter Box. Be sure to mention our club when you complete the personal information on the donation page.

So far, our club has donated $500 from our budget, and I am aware of additional donations of $200 from members, as well as an estimated $700 from the Rotary Ranch Party. Will keep you posted on that.

Best regards,

Your current President, Joyce

Club President, Joyce Nolin-Capman
