Head’s Welcome
Welcome to our Celebration of the Year – a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and reflect on all that has made this year at LEH so memorable, inspiring and successful.
This year, our theme of Fearless Futures celebrates the many ways our pupils have shown courage in shaping their own paths. Courage is not always obvious. Sometimes it is found in taking intellectual risks, asking difficult questions, speaking out for what is right and persevering when learning feels challenging. And sometimes it is the quieter courage that often goes unseen: overcoming setbacks, embracing uncertainty, forging your own pathway or simply taking the next step when the way forward is not yet clear.
Throughout the year, we have witnessed these different forms of fearlessness in abundance – in classrooms, on stages and sports fields, in leadership roles, friendships and everyday interactions in our corridors. Our pupils have approached opportunities with curiosity and determination, challenged themselves beyond their comfort zones, and demonstrated the confidence to imagine futures that are ambitious, meaningful and uniquely their own.
Today, we celebrate not only individual achievements but also the collective spirit that makes LEH such a special school. Every success is supported by a community that encourages, inspires and believes in one another. It is simply expressed as one of our powerful values: we lift those around us. Together, we create an environment where girls can discover their strengths, find their voices and develop the resilience to navigate an ever-changing world.
I am hugely proud of all that has been achieved this year and grateful for the courage, creativity and compassion that our pupils bring to our school every day. I hope you enjoy celebrating their accomplishments and the many fearless futures that begin here.
