Welcome to Al Fresco — La DoubleJ’s first outdoor homeware collection, a love letter to Italy’s favorite ritual: gathering under the open sky. Inspired by long lunches on Lake Como terraces and twilight cocktails in Taormina courtyards, this collection celebrates the art of living al fresco — wildly, joyfully, beautifully.

Each of the five hero prints draws from Italy’s lush gardens, ancient mosaics, and blooming landscapes — each one rooted in a region we adore — and built to mix and match with our most iconic DoubleJ tabletop families. Together, they form a print playground of color and craft that transforms every meal into a moment of magic.

We took a sacred geometric spin on the iconic mosaics found along the Amalfi Coast for Lotus of Life. Symbolizing harmony, purity, and enlightenment, this radiant print, dedicated to Naples, brings soul, sophistication and serenity to any celebration. Our ode to Lake Como, Bright Blooms bursts with the lush, sunlit energy of Italian gardens in full flower. This joyful print cloaks the pool and lounge area we designed at Passalacqua and pairs beautifully with our Murano glassware and Libellula porcelains, featuring our beloved spirit animal, the dragonfly — a symbol of transformation and growth.

Our ode to Fiesole, Nymph Bloom channels the quiet romance of the lemon houses that dot the Florentine hills. Designed for a very special upcoming collaboration (stay tuned!), it shines alongside our Napoli Rosa pieces and invites endless mix-andmatch possibilities.

Doric

An ode to Taormina, Doric takes its cues from the city’s ancient Greek heritage and sophisticated seaside palette. The result is an elegant geometric rhythm that feels both timeless and modern, pairing beautifully with the refined tones of our Napoli Rosa collection.

Ananas

Playful, punchy, and pure Milano, Ananas began as custom wallpaper in J.J.’s Milan apartment and graces the cover of her book Mamma Milano. It’s a print that radiates urban joy and pairs perfectly with our Wildbird and Libellula families — a wink to the city’s unapologetic glamour and charm.

Lotus of Life

Sacred Geometry, Neapolitan Soul

Where better than Napoli – a place famed for its gatherings and feasts – to start our Al Fresco journey? This print – delivered in Amalfi Coast appropriate sky blue and white with a touch of burgundy – makes for a seriously chic statement whether by the pool, in the garden or on your terrace overlooking the mediterranean.

One of the most striking spaces at Passalacqua – the Lake Como villa that was named best hotel in the world in 2024, nbd – is the lounge and pool area we completely redesigned (in our totally unbiased opinion). Our Ananas print – one of La DoubleJ’s most beloved –was dreamt up when founder, J.J. Martin discovered it in the historic silk archives of Mantero. Originally found in the interiors of a Lake Como palazzo, this juicy print actually makes an appearance in J.J.’s own Milan bathroom, as well as on the cover on her book, Mamma Milano.
