BLACKBOX SERIES

• The box office is open from 3 pm until 5 pm Monday through Friday and for one hour prior to each performance.
• The box office accepts cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
• Single tickets become available for purchase 60 days before a production’s opening night.
Any ticket exchanges must be done through the box office in person or over the phone. Tickets may only be exchanged for another performance of the same show.
Please contact the box office to see if an exchange for a different date can be made. On rare occasions, LCT has allowed a ticket for one production to be used at a different production. If no exchanges can be made, the ticket price may be written off as a donation tax credit.
The use of cameras and/or recording equipment is strictly prohibited in the theatre. If you need to answer a call, please do so in the lobby so as to not disrupt the performance.
Flowers may be left in the box office for the stage manager to deliver or you may hand them to the cast member once they are in the lobby at the conclusion of the performance. Audience members are not allowed backstage.
If you have concerns about the weather facing an upcoming performance, please call the box office to double check that the performance will still continue. On rare occasions, LCT has canceled performances due to bad weather or cast conditions. If this occurs, exchanges or refunds will be issued.
Every individual, no matter the age, must have a ticket in order to attend the performance. If you would like to bring your children, please purchase seats for them even if they will be seated on someone’s lap.
Reservations for the general public begin at least 60 days before the opening of each show; season ticket reservations open the week prior. Patron donors may reserve their seats at any time. Please call the box office at 608-784-9292 if you have any questions.
Late arrivals will be seated at the house manager’s discretion during an appropriate point in the performance. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the show begins, we reserve the right to release your seat(s) to someone else.
Hearing Loops allow people who wear hearing aids to directly receive the sound from the theatre’s sound system in their own hearing aids, much like Wi-Fi for laptops. If you wear hearing instruments, and they have a wireless receiver called a T-coil or Telecoil built-in, you will benefit from the hearing loop in our theatre. The T-coil program is accessed by pushing a button on your hearing aid. This T-coil setting has to be activated before use. Please consult your audiologist to ensure your t-coils are properly adjusted.
If you do not have a T-coil equipped hearing instrument, please feel free to stop by the box office to pick up a hearing assist device.
UFAH enhances the cultural life of the area by encouraging and providing opportunities for businesses to invest in the programs of local Arts and Humanities organizations in an efficient and effective way.

Welcome to the world premiere of Adventures Await, a brand-new play written by longtime LCT supporter, volunteer, and friend, Jonathan Lamb. Many of you know Jon as a man of deep empathy, unshakable optimism, and boundless imagination—and all of that comes through in this beautiful story. We’re honored to give voice to his work and to celebrate his unique ability to capture the wonder and humor of life, even in the face of profound challenges.
As profiled in the Wisconsin Proud “Artist of the Month” series written by the show's director, Stephen Walker, Jon’s work is a shining example of how storytelling can build bridges, open minds, and spark joy. His journey, and this play, are a reminder that art has the power to transform—not just audiences, but communities.
This production also aligns with two initiatives close to our hearts. First, our partnership with SPARK!, a nationally recognized program offering cultural experiences to people with memory loss and their care partners. By partnering with SPARK!, LCT reaffirms our commitment to making theatre accessible, inclusive, and healing.
Second, we are proud to support The Power of Purple, an event kicking off the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, right here at the Weber Center on June 23. The evening will feature a screening of the powerful documentary Wine, Women, and Dementia, followed by a Q&A with local dementia care specialists. These dementia care specialist will also be leading a talkback following the show each night except for the Thursday, March 10th performance. With over 2,800 La Crosse County residents aged 65+ living with dementia—and millions more across the country—we stand in solidarity with caregivers and families navigating this journey. LCT is committed to being more than a theatre; we are a gathering place for empathy, advocacy, and understanding.
A heartfelt thank-you goes first and foremost to Jon Lamb for sharing this profoundly personal story with us. He is truly baring his soul each and every night, and we are deeply grateful. Thank you to Stephen Walker for his vision in bringing Jon’s words to life, to the cast for lending their talents to see Jon’s work fully realized, and to the entire production team for crafting the world in which these adventures can unfold. Your collective artistry and care have made this premiere something truly special.
And last, but not least, a huge thank you to you, our patrongs, for joining us as we launch Adventures Await. May tonight’s story inspire you to keep exploring, keep connecting, and—above all—keep adventuring.
Enjoy the show.
ERIK VOSE Executive Director
Theatre is magic. They say movies are a film makers medium but theatre is an actors medium. You get to witness real moments, exposing life and all of is mysteries right before your eyes. Theatre, and the actors that practice its craft, are both magical.
Betty Lamb was incredibly special. He professional career left a lasting impression on Western Wisconsin and the community she served. Her passions and hobbies directly led to the building you're currently sitting in. He personal life supplied the foundation, climate and love that have us Jon Lamb.
Tonight is a love letter to all of the above; theatre and its actors, and Betty Lamb. We are going on a journey through Jon's great loves. So please, give into your child-like impulses and come with us. Journey with an ensemble that represents the creme de la creme of theatre talent I'd l in the Coulee Region. Trek across the emotional spectrum with one of the most imaginative minds I've ever had the pleasure of calling friend.
Theatre IS magic. Betty IS special. Jon IS amazing.
Thank you for choosing us tonight. Adventures Await, and we are glad you're coming along.

When I began this journey 8 years ago, I was writing this to get my theatre fix. I knew that I wasn't going to be able to participate for a while. But I knew I needed to get my own personal escape through theatre. This became my refuge. I continued to just let the feelings flow out onto the page so that they wouldn't eat me up. This was my therapy, so that I could be available to my parents. As I continued to work on this I felt this story had to be told. Far too many people are affected by Alzheimer's disease. So many of their stories are untold. This is my experience with the disease. As horrible as it is, I hope it can give comfort to those hurting.
There are many people to thank. First of all, my beautiful family. My sister Amy, you are so strong and I look up to your abilities to care and help those around you. I am always in awe of your love and strength. You also do a mean lip sync.
Porter, Olivia, and Heath. Thanks for always supporting me in all the crazy ideas I have. You all fill my heart with such joy. My Dad, Bob, you guided us to be better humans and I am grateful. Thanks for always telling me to do my best. I hope I live up to it. To the Rewrites, Thank you for always giving me the courage to keep the cursor moving. Your help is unmeasurable. To Morrie, Thank you for introducing me to the love of my life, Theatre. Your guidance continues to inspire me.
To the Cast, both in the reading and now, thank you for jumping in feet first. It truly has been a joy to see you bring to life what was only in my brain. To Steven, Thank you for steering the ship effortlessly. I wouldn’t trust just anyone with this. How lucky I am to not only call you a colleague but a friend. I bask in the brilliance of all your talents.
Finally, I would like to dedicate this show to my wonderful mother, Betty. You always knew how to make me laugh, and believe in myself. You are someone I continue to look up too. I strive to be as life changing as you were.
Please enjoy my little slice of life.

Jonathan's theatrical life began way back in 1988. That was the year he discovered he had been bitten by the bug. The theatre bug that is. He has enjoyed such roles as Leroy Herdman, Lurvy the Farmhand, Uncle the pig, King of the Ugwazz, a street urchin, Father Christmas, Marcellus Washburn, Tweedle Dum, and a Ruffian to name a few. He wouldn't be where he is today if it wasn't for his parents who drove him to rehearsals. Thank you to La Crosse Community Theatre for being a third parent to me. I am grateful. Mu Cha Cha for you.
Liz is very excited and honored to be a part of this beautiful story. She's been performing in shows at LCCT since 1984 with Annie. Some of her favorites include Once Upon A Mattress (Winnifred) & The Little Mermaid (Ursula). In addition, she's done many productions with Jon Lamb including his Madame Fefe (Madame Fefe) shows at The Pump House. She would like to thank her family for their support and generosity.
Stacy is no stranger to the LCT stage. She has most recently been seen on the Lyche stage as Fagin in Oliver!, the VST as Cindy Lou Who in Who's Holiday, and most recently as Violet in the staged reading of August: Osage County. LCT is her true home away from home! Stacy is the director of The Penguin Project, a theatre initiative for children with disabilities. It is an honor to be a part of this love letter of a play! "The mind may not remember, but the heart will never forget"~unknown. Hug your kids. Call your parents. Love your neighbor. Enjoy the show.
Al, and others)
MacKinley was last seen on the LCT stage as Bill Sikes in Oliver!, Jamie in The Last Five Years, the Beast in Beauty and the Beast, and Dan in Next to Normal. Professional roles include Jervis Pendleton in Daddy Long Legs, Caleb in The Spitfire Grill, and Robert in Boeing Boeing with the Northern Fort Playhouse; as well as a cast member with Storybook Land Theatre in Aberdeen SD.
Shana feels so grateful to be in this magical show. John’s words have made her laugh out loud and have also brought her to tears at every rehearsal! It has been awesome being on this incredible adventure with my amazing friends! Recently, Shawna has been seen at LaCrosse Community Theatre as the Grandma in A Nice Family Christmas and Nora in A Doll’s House Part 2. Shana wishes to dedicate the show to her mother, Margaret. She sends her love to Chris, Skylar, Liam, and Dad!
Ken himself is an adventurer having taken many, many wilderness canoe trips, some alone. He has been seen in LCT productions of The Producers, Billy Elliot, The Fantasticks, Guys on Ice, Escanaba in Da Moonlight, and many others. Ken would like to thank everyone involved with this production for their kindness and professionalism.
Jonathan Lamb is one of my absolute favorite people on the planet. Whenever he asks me to be involved in a project he's working on, I almost never say no. This show is so incredibly special and I feel honored to be a member of the cast. My most favorite roles are Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables, and Sister Robert Anne in Nunsense. Jonathan was my director and taught me how to tap dance for Nunsense. I'm forever grateful to have him in my life. Enjoy this beautiful play!
)Jon Lamb is light and love. He is "the helpers" that Mr. Rogers spoke of. He is the proof of good in the world. He is the embodiment of a warm hug. He is truly a gift to everything he touches.
This story is as much about Jon as it is anything else you'll witness tonight. Thank you for helping us celebrate this moment, this man and his family.

Bringing the characters of Adventures Await to the stage has been such an amazing experience, and Jess is honored to be the one to do it! She has worked extensively over the last few years with LCT as a Costume Designer. Some of her favorite past designs you might have seen include last season's A Doll's House Part 2 and The Last 5 Years, and previous season's productions of 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, The Laramie Project, Scrooge in Rouge, and more! She is so thankful for all the support from her friends, family, this amazing cast, and all of our fabulous costume shop volunteers.

Megan has enjoyed supporting the cast and crew of this Amazing Adventure and is excited to be back in the booth! She’s involved with LCT’s Advisory Board and volunteers with the Lions Club of Onalaska and the Miss La Crosse-Oktoberfest Scholarship Opportunity. During the day, she works at Abra Auto Body. Special thanks to Kari, Joseph, and Dillon for letting her be out most nights—home is always a little quieter without her. And as always, "Thanks, we enjoyed doing it for you!"
