Drill of the Month

L Cut Pick and Roll

The first player in line to start this drill does not need a ball. They begin by cutting towards the first coach and then making an "L" cut towards the red coach. As this is happening the second player in line is passing to the red coach and then getting the ball right back. This players job is to then act like they are shooting. This makes the imaginary defender and goalie think you are a threat to score. Instead of shooting, they make a pass to the first player in line that is rolling towards the net after making their "L" cut. The player then catches and shoots from the inside on the goalie. The player who passed the ball is now the player who makes the "L" cut and the second player then begins the process of being the passer. This drill can be done on both sides of the floor. Let one side get through everybody in line, then go to the other.
