MANAGING JOE’S TYPE 2 DIABETES
The Local 1014 Health Plan has partnered with Express Scripts to provide an enhanced Pharmacy Vaccination Program. This program saves our members money by allowing pharmacists to administer vaccinations at a reduced cost. As we continue to grapple with COVID-19, it is more important than ever to ensure that our members have convenient affordable access to vaccinations.
ENHANCED COVID-19 TESTING BENEFITS
We have expanded our out-of-network cap for COVID-19 testing from $200 to $2,000 so our members have increased access to the quickest most convenient testing for them and their families. Additionally, we have waived the members' cost share, including copays, coinsurance, and deductibles, for diagnostic testing related to COVID-19, as well as for the in-network visit associated with COVID-19 testing, whether it takes place at a doctor's office or emergency department.
DENTAL
The Local 1014 Health Plan has made it easier to get your dental expenses reimbursed. Receive up to $1,500 in excess dental and receive a separate lifetime $2,500 allowance for dental implants
VISION
We offer a vision plan that give you the most flexibility and the highest dollar value with a $300 allowance for a wide selection of frames every 12 months and a $300 allowance for contacts lenses every 12 months.

HEARING
The Local 1014 Health Plan has partnered with EPIC the premier provider of hearing care to provide members with exciting new benefits including: $2500 allowance per year, name brand hearing aids at a significantly reduced prices, and a 45-day trial period with a complimentary 3-year warranty and a 1-year supply of batteries care each year
CHIROPRACTIC/ACUPUNCTURE/ OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The Local 1014 Health Plan has doubled the amount of chiropractic, acupuncture and occupational therapy visits allowed each year. You can now have 30 chiropractic and 30 acupuncture visits each year for a total of 60 visits per year. That’s more than one per week. We have also doubled our occupational therapy visits allowed to 12 visits per year.
WEIGHT LOSS
The Local 1014 Health Plan has removed the dollar-limits for medical weight loss programs We have also eased the requirements to qualify allowing more members access to these programs.
