We recommend guests reserve tickets, in advance, for each event, however it is not mandatory. Bring a blanket or chair and some snacks, then sit back and enjoy the show! Reserve your spot today!

PLAYGROUND PALS - FREE PROGRAM! Ages 6 - 12 yrs | Now - August 20 CURRENTLY REGISTERING! Lacey Parks, Culture & Recreation, in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools, invite you to come join the fun this summer! Our incredible Parks and Recreation staff will be at Lacey & Lydia Hawk Elementary Schools, offering playground supervision as well as organized activities that include: arts and crafts, games, fitness, water activities, and even a summer reading program brought to you by the Timberland Regional Library. This is a FREE program, pre-registration is required and you must attend a North Thurston Public School. Lunch will be provided by the Summer Food Service Program.

JULY IS PARKS AND RECREATION MONTH Lacey Parks, Culture & Recreation will celebrate Park and Recreation Month this July as we welcome back our community with a month full of events such as our concerts and movies in the park, summer day camps, sports, and more! The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) encourages people that support parks and recreation to share their park and recreation story, as well as why their local park and recreation professionals are important to them, with the hashtag #OurParkAndRecStory. See our facebook page for more info and a chance to win some prizes!

MUSEUM NEWS ​Lacey Museum’s August Activity Lacey Museum Explore Kit


This August get active and explore Lacey’s Parks! Register to purchase a Lacey Museum Explore Kit and begin your adventure to visit as many local parks as you can. With your kit, draw park scenery, journal your favorite finds, or note information found on historic markers. If you come across crawly critters like ladybugs or ants, use your magnifying glass to get a zoomed in look. Find a leaf or flower and use them to create your own sun art! Remember to stay hydrated with your Lacey Museum water bottle. Explore Kits include: a Lacey Museum water bottle, a checklist of Lacey Parks, a notebook, pencil, crayons, 2 pieces of cyanotype sun art paper, a small magnifying glass, hand sanitizer, Lacey Museum stickers and magnets, candy, and a drawstring backpack to take it all on the go! Registration begins Monday, July 19 and ends Friday, July 30, at 5 p.m.*While Supplies Last!* Fee: $18.00 + tax per Explore Kit

GREG CUOIO OPEN HOUSE #2


You’re invited to the Greg Cuoio Park & Greenways Master Plan virtual Open House #2 The 1 st open house in May introduced the Master Plan boundaries and provided an overview of the site analysis including natural features, wilderness and wetlands found within the site limits. It was also an opportunity for community members to share what they feel is important to include in the Master Plan and what programs and activities they envision in that area in the future. The 2 nd virtual Open House (via Zoom) will provide an: • Overall vision for the Greg Cuoio Park and Greenways. • Opportunity for the public to give input on design alternatives to help the City determine what improvements should be included in the Master Plan.
