DALA is celebrating 30 years of high quality dance education in both Los Alamos and White Rock, offering classes for dancers aged twoadult in many genres and styles including our new all Adaptive Dance program for students with disabilities. The Los Alamos Community Winds (LACW) are a non-profit performing concert band made up of members of the local community as well as nearby north central New Mexico communities. Participation is open to anyone who plays a brass, wind or percussion instrument. For more information and to join, please contact LACW at info@lacw.org

Life Drawing

Wednesdays

Sundays, twice monthly

Come create art from a live model in a relaxed and unstructured atmosphere, or come model for artists. Any experience level is welcome to attend! Wednesdays consist of a variety of poses and Sundays focus on one long portrait pose.

Audition for Coro de Cámara

Coro de Cámara is always interested in recruiting new members. Experienced adult singers with a trained voice and excellent pitch and sight-reading skills are invited to audition. In addition, the Student Apprentice Program provides gifted high school musicians the opportunity to sing with the group for an entire season.

Woodcarving

Saturdays

Come create with a laid back wood carving group. Materials provided for a small weekly studio fee, which includes a bandsaw, rotary carvers, woodburners, power sanders, drill press, scroll saw, acrylic paint, airbrushes, paintbrushes, smaller blocks of basswood, and tupelo gum. Larger blocks of wood are extra. Instruction and reference material also provided. This is a power carving group.

Les Violons du Roy with Pianist Inon Barnatan

Quebec's celebrated chamber orchestra joins forces with brilliantly versatile pianist Inon Barnatan in two very different concertos, one by C.P.E. Bach and one by Shostakovich for piano and trumpet.
