When Marcel Contier first invented La Biosthétique, in Paris, more than 70 years ago, he celebrated life’s natural treasures - a holistic philosophy that is still upheld today.

The combination of bios, meaning life and esthetics, meaning beauty. Contier was a brilliant biochemist and strongly believed natural substances make much more sense than synthetic ones.

A philanthropist and a humanist. Contier’s philosophy “think good thoughts and live well” still guides La Biosthétique today.

The family–owned company, La Biosthétique, develops and produces highly effective cosmetics for hair and skin which are exclusively sold in international salons and spas. We represent the latest findings in dermatology and biochemistry that are intensively tested in laboratories and in practice, then produced just for you.

Natural raw ingredients, gentle treatment of resources, individual and personal consultations — at La Biosthétique, we focus on the customer. With their nature and their culture, with their health, as well as with the aim of achieving Total Beauty.

FRIZZ CONTROL

An Aqua Style complex lastingly improves moisture balance. Frizzy hair is less sensitive to environmental influences while structural weaknesses are balanced, strengthened and smoothed. The care system provides a 48-hour guarantee, reliably preventing static build-up and frizz.

LONG HAIR

The Long Hair complex, with moisturizers and proteins, intensively conditions, strengthens and protects long hair from wear and tear. The scientifically confirmed result: up to 80 percent reduction in hair breakage.

PROTECTION COULEUR

Provides up to 73 percent longer lasting color results. The color protection complex, with sunflower extract, deactivates free radicals and allows pigments to remain longer in the hair.

CURL

Scientifically confirmed - the Bounce Back Polymer, developed by La Biosthétique, results in up to 47 percent easier maintenance of curls and up to 65 percent greater elasticity and bounce.

DRY HAIR

A hydrolipid cocktail with desert rose, black oats and soybean, provides hair with softness, moisture, regeneration and structural improvement - after just five applications.

FINE HAIR

The Fine Hair complex improves the stability of fine hair, in need of extra care. Fine Hair deeply conditions and restructures the hair cuticle. The results are scientifically proven: fine hair is stronger, more resistant and voluminous.

BEAUTE

Daily care with coconut oil lipids and natural active ingredients, nourish and very mildly condition, maintains natural beauty and protects the hair against damaging environmental influences.

Scalp Care

Time to target the root cause.

Beautiful hair originates from a healthy scalp. Though, when imbalanced, the hair will look tired, dull and straggly. In a worst case scenario, the hair will suffer from growth disorders and even hair loss.

The La Biosthétique research team has developed a special « Methode » for every situation. These Methodes are based on an innovative ingredient complex that is geared towards the specific scalp problem. The Methodes are highly successful thanks to the synergy effects of simultaneous treatment with the respective shampoo, scalp lotions and treatments.

METHODE VITALISANTE

For dry scalps « Complexe Vitalisant » mobilizes inactive sebaceous glands and restores balance to the scalp environment. Areas of dry skin and feelings of tightness disappear. The fortified scalp is left feeling soft and well moisturized.

METHODE SENSITIVE

For sensitive scalps « Complexe Sensitif » calms the scalp and effectively reduces the likelihood of irritations developing. Redness and irritation are instantly soothed, the skin barrier is protected and the normal scalp condition is restored.

METHODE NORMALISANTE

For oily scalps « Complexe Normalisant » reduces the proportion of oil in the hydrolipid film. « Complexe Hydrotoxa » for damp scalps however, restores the scalp metabolism back to normal. The scalp environment is normalized, hair roots are given new energy and the hair remains fresher for longer.

METHODE REGENERANTE

Complexe Régénérant actively influences the hair’s growth phase, improves the growth impulses, creates fuller, thicker hair and an extended hair growth cycle — scientifically proven!

METHODE PELLICULES

Complexe Pellicules lastingly improves the scalp environment. It normalises the microbial flora and is proven to reduce visible dandruff after just one application by up to 50 percent.

Skin Care

Skin care is the natural continuation of La Biosthétique’s Total Beauty concept. Cosmetic expertize is a professional essence as well as another new business opportunity for salon partners. With a passion for quality, our Culture of Total Beauty philosophy is much more than being skin deep.

La Biosthétique’s skin care range naturally corrects the causes of the skin’s reduced ability to regenerate. Multi–active, skin–related lipo amino acids are the basic building blocks of the skin cells’ ability to activate their energy and regenerate their life cycles. With La Biosthétique, oxygen supplies are improved as is microcirculation - making the skin glow. Wrinkles are also reduced and the skin becomes vibrantly plump and firm. To say you are left looking youthfully revitalized is an understatement.

MÉTHODE SENSITIVE

The care solution for calm, relaxed skin. La Biosthétique uses specialized components of plant oils and phytosterols to form part of the main lipid layer component; combating the cause of skin sensitivity. Regardless of the skin type, age or gender, the pleasantly light scented formulation and barrier-strengthening active ingredient concept will restore balance to an impaired barrier function; reducing tightness, redness, tingling and dryness. This range is hypo-allergenic.

Méthode Clarifiante features a skin–calming, metabolism–regulating and clarifying effect. Softly scented with toning essential oils, Méthode Clarifiante removes dead skin and surplus sebum from the surface of the skin. Ideal for large pores, shiny, oily, inflammed and blemished skin.

Dermosthétique for Hair & Skin

Highly effective cosmetic products based on the latest biological cell research and their positive influence on regulating the physiology of hair, skin and scalp.

BASE

Perfect style begins after washing. Create a base for luscious volume in damp hair. Choose the desired Base/graphite product depending on your preferred shape, texture and hold. Available in various consistencies such as cream, gel, spray or mousse. These products prepare the hair for subsequent styling.

STYLE

The Style/champagne colored product group is for use in both dry and damp hair, using either hands or tools to style the hair. The products focus on the texture, shine, control and shape of the hairstyle. Also suitable for men who want to easily style and air dry their hair after showering.

FINISH

The Finish/lilac colored finishing products add the final touches to any style, can fix a finished look and can enhance it with shine. Choose between a spray and/or lacquer. For use in dry hair.

ALLERGY TESTED

All of our products are tested on sensitive skin in cooperation with the Dermatological University Clinic, in Lubeck. We produce naturally and use the lowest, optimal preservative content to minimize any allergies. Proudly, we will continue to never test any of our products on animals.

ALL PURPOSE MAKE UP

La Biosthétique make up is ideal for versatility. Use it as everyday wear or for events such as weddings, photography and television. It’s even perfect for runway drama.

NATURAL INGREDIENTS

All of our make up products are made from various natural ingredients, including shea butter, beeswax, sunflower oil, avocado oil, chamomile, green tea, coconut oil, algae, aloe vera, seaweed, banana blossom and ginseng.

PIGMENT TECHNOLOGY

Each of our eye shadow pigments are encapsulated with vitamin E to eliminate pigment related allergic reactions. Vitamin E not only protects the skin but also offers anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and hydrating elements, which heal the skin.

ANTI-BACTERIAL TECHNOLOGY

Our mascaras have a built-in, anti-bacterial complex which is ideal for sensitive eyes and allows for use up to 9 months.
