In 2022, we have two teams qualified for both NAQT (May 2729, Atlanta) and PACE (June 1012, Chicago) nationals. We had to finish in the top 3% in a qualifying tournament in order to participate at Nationals. Moreover, we won 1st at the Varsity State Championships this year. Congratulations to the members of the Johns Creek High School Academic Bowl Team! Our Varsity players are Omer Mujawar (Co-Captain, President of the club), Aryan Shah (Co-Captain), Sam Konkel, and Daniel Chen. Our JV team players are Rohan Dalal, Jeffrey Xu, Kevin Wang, Danny Shapiro, Michelle Luo, Rishab Subramaniyan, Aakash Sanjay.

Our Career Technology Student Organizations (CTSO’s) continue to shine at JC. Hundreds of students participated in TSA, DECA and FBLA this year with many excelling at the state level. TSA had the most students make the stage (top 10) out of all of Fulton County Schools at State Leadership and FBLA was awarded Gold Chapter – Superior level with 64 students finishing in the Top 10 at the State Competition. Johns Creeks’ own Karen Gao was elected Georgia FBLA State President for next year and was named Fulton County Schools Career, Technical and Agriculture Student of the Year! The Career Tech Department had an- other stellar year with 98% of its pathway completers passing the End of Pathway exam in the areas of Engineering, Computer Science, AVT&F, Entrepreneurship, Sports Marketing and Hospitality Marketing.

Our literary publications are no exception to this outstanding list of accomplishments. The Pulse literary magazine was recognized with the Silver Crown Award by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association in its High School Digital Literary Magazine Category. This same award has been granted to The Chariot news magazine in previous years.

Northview High School

Niche rates Northview as the 2022 and 2023 #1 high school in Fulton County and the #2 high school in Georgia. The Atlanta Journal Con- stitution (AJC) consistently featured Northview as one of the top schools in the Metro Atlanta area, based on the results of the College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI). Not surprisingly, in 2012 Atlanta Magazine named NHS “The Number One School in Atlanta,” and in 2021 Newsweek placed Northview 99th in its top 1000 high schools in the United States. Through a rigorous listing of course offerings and 29 Advanced Placement courses, NHS students are well prepared for the future, with over 95% moving on to four-year colleges. The school also features a student teacher ratio of 19:1 and an extremely diverse student body, with large East Asian, Indian and African American populations. Northview celebrates this diversity through a variety of clubs and intricately planned activities. For example, the Kaleidoscope Club, an organization focused on promoting the strength of diversity, alongside the Beta Club, hosts an annual International Night. Attendees delight in a Taste of Cultures with food, dance, and music from more than 20 nations. Hosting two shows for the community, both are sold out each year.

In athletics, NHS provides students the opportunity to compete in 19 different varsity sports, including football, baseball, track, volleyball, golf, wrestling, cross country, and lacrosse. The school has its fair

Centennial High School

Centennial High School, a leader for 21st century learning in the Roswell/Johns Creek community as well as the Fulton County School System (FCSS), boasts a diverse socio-economic student population that truly mirrors real-world settings our students will experience in both college and the workplace. Our Centennial Knights receive a rigorous education with high expectations, the chance to be part of an outstanding athletics program that is highly valued, and fine arts opportunities that compete, perform, and win at the highest levels. Centennial students and staff live our mission: Collaborate. Think. Learn. Create.

Centennial’s path is clear to continue the school’s innovative and forward-thinking achievement as the first in the school system to embrace technology and the power it has to support student learning. Centennial was the first to renovate the traditional library space into a Learning Commons, reminiscent of similar spaces at Georgia Tech, which allows our students and teachers to learn and engage with each other and technology in creative and collaborative ways. This grant-funded, renovated learning space ultimately became a prototype for all Fulton County high schools to receive a similar renovation.

Following the same trajectory in technological advances, Centennial is the first in the school system to design a MakerSpace for the Learning Commons. Centennial’s SPaCE (Shared Personalized and Creative Experience) is for students to truly problem solve, innovate, and create. Modeled after similar spaces which are proliferating the higher education environment, this exceptional space includes both analog and digital offerings, including everything from microcomputers to 3D printing, to laser etching machines, and cutting-edge industry software in video and audio production. The SPaCE also has a green screen studio for video and audio recording, screen printing, embroidery and sewing stations. Most recently, our SPaCE students have even started a podcast entitled The Cent10 that can be accessed on Spotify and Anchor.

In March of 2018, Centennial proudly became an International Baccalaureate® (IB) World School, one of only two in North Fulton County and one of only 4,500 around the world (www.ibo.org). This exciting and challenging program is designed for 11th and 12th grade students to allow students to examine the world around them to become knowledgeable, caring, reflective, open-minded, balanced, principled, thinkers and risk-takers. The International Baccalaureate Di- ploma Programme is recognized and respected by the world’s leading universities and provides students with a balanced education while promoting international understanding. At Centennial High School, students can choose IB Courses in 6 different subject groups as well as participate in three different IB Core classes and experiences. In the 2020-2021 School year, 100% of our IB students passed their IB Exams, and additionally 100% of our IB Diploma students completed the requirements to earn an International Baccalaureate Diploma.

While extremely proud of its local and district level successes, Centennial continues to be ranked by Newsweek, The Washington Post, and Atlanta Magazine as one of America’s best high schools. Centennial claims numerous academic
