Current Student Updates
+ Claire Hilbrecht and Josh Ehl were two of the twelve recipients of the Gaines Fellowship, a highly prestigious program that aims to enrich the undergraduate experience in the humanities. Gaines Fellows participate in seminars, community projects, and a senior thesis defense.

+ Isabel Jenkins was a finalist in the 2019 International Studies Abroad video & photo contest. She won the “Artistic Eye” photo category and the “Nature’s Beauty” and Grand Prize video categories for her work from the Costa Rica summer experience. View her video at bit.ly/2MsmCro
Class Of 2019 Updates
+ Nicole Funk is working in an AmeriCorp position with the Food Literacy Project in Louisville.
+ Hannah Hollowell is working on a Master’s degree at UK with Dr. Lynne Rieske-Kinney in the Entomology Department.
+ David Jalbert works at Salato Wildlife Center in KY and as an Educator at the Cincinnati Zoo.
+ Rachel Cook worked a seasonal Botanist position at the Indiana Dunes National Park and is currently a Seasonal Field Botanist with the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves.
+ Jess Jensen works with water testing group Phigenics in Illinois.
+ Emily Ingram finished a seasonal Wildlife Tech position in Utah’s Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

+ Rose Yeley is working with the Peace Corps in Tonga.
+ Willie Graas is interning with the Nature Conservancy in KY.
+ Cody Jones works at Springhouse Gardens in Nicholasville.
+ Bryan Kist works full-time with the Urban Forest Initiative.
+ Quinn Towery is working as a Mineral Assessor with the Kentucky State Government.
