Founded in Belgium in 2003 by Pieter Jamart and Michel Sels, SIXINCH was born from a passion for innovative materials and progressive design. In 2013, Peter and Michel partnered with Wieland Designs, a well-respected company in the furniture industry, and expanded the footprint for one of the most talked about furniture brands in the world. The name SIXINCH comes from the space between our ears, a mere 150 mm wide, or six inches.
The design flexibility of SIXINCH coated foam is almost limitless, and that’s exactly why this technique is perfect for custom projects. There are no molding or set up costs. We start from a large foam bun which is CNC cut into the desired shape. Our FlexPlus™ coating is applied and the entire color spectrum is at your disposal. When completed, your product is a flexible, weather-resistant, seamless design statement. 5

Pieter Jamart Pieter studied Interior and furniture design at Luca’s fay’d herbe academy Mechelen Belgium. Passionate about the possibility’s of furniture and foam, Pieter graduated in 2002 and immediately started SIXINCH with his business partner Michel Sels.

David Fox
Jan De Cuyper lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. He has a Bachelors of Interior Design from the Thomas More University College, Mechelen.
David has acquired some of the highest ranking international design awards-Good Design, Red Dot. His designs promote timeless design features, with a heavy emphasis on refinement and proportion.
Pieter Maes
Karim Rashid
Since graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2004, Pieter has been the catalyst for numerous product, architectural, interior and furniture design projects.
Karim Rashid is one of the most prolific designers of his generation. Over 3000 designs in production, over 300 awards and working in over 40 countries attest to Karim’s legend of design.

Nils Van Der Celen
Deevie Vermetten
Nils Lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. He graduated as a Master in Interior Architecture in 2008 at the Henry Van de Velde Institute in Antwerp and in 2009 at the Scuola Politecnico di Milano.
Deevie is the driving force behind his design label Atelier Belge. Many years of wood crafting carved a true designer with solid field experience.

Wrap In Style A man from the Midwest, Aaron Draplin started his associate degree at Northwestern Michigan College. At 19 he moved to Bend, Oregon to pursue his career in graphic design. In April 2000, he accepted an art director position at SNOWBOARDER magazine. In 2002, he became a senior designer at Cinco Design Office of Portland. His clients have included Nike, Burton Snowboards, Esquire, Red Wing, Ford Motor Company and the Obama Administration. Draplin has been featured on TED Talks and talks at Google. In 2019 he designed the Star Ribbon, a US postal stamp. Aaron is the co-founder and designer for the well-known Field Notes brand. In 2004, Aaron started his own firm, the Draplin Design Company, and has solidified himself as one of the greatest in the graphic design world.

Results: less glossy, no visible change in color. - Atlas SUNTEST CPS+: Wavelength range 55 - 765 W/m, 10 cycles, 20 hour radiation test. Results: no change - QUV Accelerated Weathering Tester: 4 days, UV radiation, humidity – classification 0. Results: no change Following products have been tested on FlexPlus™ Hand cream, Sunscreen Lotion – SPF 20, Lipstick – red 461, Foundation Creme – 108 honey beige, Olive oil. These products left no visible stains nor change in appearance. Weather & Water Resistance* - FlexPlus™ coating is weather and water resistant - Cold test: Thermotron SE-300-2-2, temperature at -40° C, for a duration of 24 hours. Results: no change in flexibility or description. - Damp Heat cycle test: 80hr. 10 cycles, -40°C to +85°C \ with humidity 50% RH - Dry Heat Test: BINDER incubator world test: +80°C, for a duration of 24 hours. Freight Program

Freight Program SIXINCH offers an optional shipping and handling program. Delivery is via common carrier or LTL Truck. Shipping and handling charges are pre-calculated and prepaid by SIXINCH and added to the original invoice at the time of order. This optional shipping and handling program enables the purchaser to determine shipping and handling charges when ordering and provides the purchaser with one invoice for both shipping and handling charges, and the SIXINCH product. Charges Shipping and handling charges are for normal delivery only and do not include inside delivery, installation, uncartoning or removal of cartons. Insurance is left at the carriers standard furniture rate which is usually equal to $1 per pound (Not the value of the product). If you require a fully insured shipment, you must call for a quote.

A request for call prior to delivery is an additional $25. Additional charges will be determined on a per shipment basis. Should additional charges be incurred by SIXINCH due to delivery issues (non-dock, re-delivery, etc.) after initial billing, the customer may be liable for those additional charges. How To Use Merchandise is shipped FOB origin, freight prepaid and charge back to one destination. Title of goods transfers to buyer when merchandise leaves SIXINCH’s dock, and any subsequent freight damage and all freight claims are the responsibility of the purchaser or consignee to report to the carrier promptly upon receipt and to settle with the carrier.
