HOME+STED AT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF JACKSON HOLE Construction is underway with foundations poured at Home+Sted, a workforce housing community being built by Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole on an undeveloped site on its campus along South Park Loop Road. Like many others in the Valley, PCJH found it difficult to recruit and retain great staff due to the high cost and lack of availability of housing. Because PCJH owns the three acres where Home+Sted is going up, church leaders recognized a unique opportunity to build a workforce housing community for its staff and for other non-profit or government organizations in Teton County who face similar staff housing challenges. Ten townhomes plus a small community cabin are included in the first phase now under construction by Serenity, Inc. PCJH has secured approvals for 21 townhomes in order to create an attractive community with a central village green and expansive landscaping that will be more pleasing for residents and neighbors. Infrastructure for all 21 townhomes is being installed during current construction. Church members have generously funded the construction thus far although a funding gap remains. Church leaders plan to lease or sell one 2-bedroom and one 4-bedroom townhome in the first phase to buyers whose residents will work at least 30 hours a week in Teton County, the requirement for workforce housing. PCJH is also considering developing or partnering on the second phase with another entity in Jackson.
