WSP Branding Communicating the Relationship KVH Watch Solution Partners utilize KVH Watch equipment and/or services in their business model. These partners, under partner terms and conditions, may utilize an “official partner badge” in order to communicate this relationship. The badge is comprised of logo and text that designates your status as a Solution Partner.

Badge Usage The badge has specific guidance that should be followed to ensure brand consistency. The most important rule covers badge clear space. Minimum clear space is the required space around the badge, established to maintain signature visibility and legibility. Use this clear space as a minimum distance guideline, keeping the badge separate from other graphic elements within the layout. The clear space is measured by using the “x” height. See the exhibit directly below for details.

When you need to place the badge close to your company logo, ensure that you follow the minimum clear space rule, as shown above.

General guidance around badge use and placement: •

The badge should be approximately one-third the size of the partner’s logo.

It is best to place the badge opposite the partner company logo, keeping a strong visual separation.

•

Distant logo spacing is ideal, as it demonstrates the distinction between the partner and KVH.

•

The relationship should always emphasize the partner company, not KVH.

•

The badge can be placed above, below, or to the left or right of the partner’s logo. Always follow the clear space and minimum size rule.

How Remote Expert Intervention Works KVH Watch enables fluid and on-demand troubleshooting over the KVH space link and the Internet to wherever your experts are located. When you schedule an Intervention, an automated request for approval is emailed to the captain. Only invited participants can join, and they are identified with secure two-factor authentication.

Remote Expert Intervention relies on a KVH-selected, SATCOM-optimized video collaboration application used by Fortune 500 companies for their field and factory operations. Onboard engineers use the Remote Expert app on Android or iOS phones or tablets. Onshore engineers normally use their Windows PCs. HTS connectivity provides the bandwidth for high-resolution, detailed views of equipment that make the Interventions truly effective. The result – highly trained and valuable experts on shore giving real-time guidance to crew and visiting technicians on the vessel.

KVH Watch Terminal Short: The commercial-grade KVH Watch Terminal supports all KVH Watch tenants and, through them, the vessel owner, using a dedicated highthroughput VSAT antenna with its own dedicated LAN that is fully isolated from the vessel’s existing IT and OT networks. In addition, it includes a 2U rack-mountable Antenna Control Unit (ACU), Cisco ® Catalyst managed switch, and dedicated Wi-Fi access points for the exclusive use of Remote Expert Interventions.

On the KVH Watch Terminal and in the cloud, everything runs in Kubernetes® software containers for isolated and secure processing, with one container per tenant.
